Worked for a 2nd generation NY Pizza guy.  His answer to this was that Pinapple works great but only with the Swine meats like ham.  

So then I tried Bacon & Pineapple pizza and realized that is its Final Form.

Maybe that is a good thing.

There are nine thousand different kinds of pizza. Severally would have pineapple on them.
