That was definitely one of my favorite parts of this game. I still only got like one sarcastic comment from Fifth in there though, so that was a little disappointing.

I was entirely willing to fight the Village on your behalf (possibly even if you were Evil and pocketing me, though hesitate on that - we both have our duty here) because it was such a great PM with so many layers of trolling >:P Dragonfly noted to me he was more committed to you being Village and would've teamed up with you if they'd really gone through trying to D8 you. Possibly not the best outcome but a third front/splinter faction of two Rioters just seems bloody hilarious to me right now

Salmon Meerkat Posted January 27, 2022 Posted January 27, 2022 (edited) So I have some RP that I've worked on, but it's more appropriate for the aftermath 2.0 as it might unnecessarily make people think I'm the player I'm impersonating when I'm just really kel. Kassien and Karnad and Kast never expected to see this day. But really, I think the psychological effect is probably greater for anyone who played LG1 and AGs 1-3 but it really feels like a law of the world just shifted, all the same. Anyway. Now that I'm a bit less tired: As I mentioned in the dead doc, my approach to PMs is both academic and really non-mercenary. I don't go to PMs for roleclaims or to get info - I just PM players to chat and chill and probably try to get a better grasp of them and their thinking because some players open up better in PMs and you don't need to turn a thread environment into a cross-examination. I also treat PMs - especially PMs with players I think are likely Village - as sort of academic reading groups. Places to throw thoughts and to get them shot down and to refine ideas and thoughts and reads I have before it goes to the thread for peer review. So they're like the level one bulldrek filter. But really most of my PMs this game were meant for kel trolling first and foremost Had to see how many people I could get! I had PMs with nearly every player in the game but probably missed out a couple people, though not all PMs were as responsive. Not in any order of importance: @Coral Swan - the PM that started it all; shout-out to Swan for being totally willing to exchange takes, and for standing down the wrath of the Ja after I explained I was a Village Tineye trying to bait responses and not actually Evil Wish you could've lived longer but it's nice working with you as always, even though we always, always have shuffle squats at some point. Good shout on Gorilla as well. @Emerald Falcon - the trolling was delicious, we had some decent takes, and she wants people to know she clocked me or thought she clocked me early D1. Was as fun as always, even if we have yet to successfully work together as we did - quite a few games ago. RIP Falcon, sorry we let Beagle murder you. @Quartz Zebra - fun chill PM and I can't believe I took forever to ID you .__. My powers are failing me. Meanwhile this bro comes and immediately claims he IDed me from Google. Where is the justice in this world, I ask you? @Violet Axolotl - One of the axllent PM buddies this game because of the layers of trolling and dastardly schemes, even if I kept misspelling as 'Violent Axlotl' RIP. The trolling was glorious and I'm glad the GMs approved too because I just had so much fun - and appreciate we did get cracking/working together to try to do some solving near the end. Gotta say your analysis game was pretty on point. @Fuchsia Ostrich & @Chartreuse Penguin - Shoutout for being some of the best PM buddies: I think it helped that our timezones were a good match and we weren't afraid to sit there and just argue to and fro and exchange takes though sometimes we just argued ourselves into greater confusion. Still, the KGB PM was a successful check on Beagle, despite you guys giving me repeated scares It took us a while to start working together properly but it was great anyway. Good job on the analysis as well, and a special shoutout to @Fifth Scholar for showing up to help me troll Penguin into believing I'd played a number of games that didn't exist @Saffron Iguana - Sorry to have exed you. Pun game absolutely on point and I laughed so many times at the puns. Never change; the GM updates on the dead doc tunnel were killing me as I checked in every turn after a lynch. "Does he still think I'm Evil?" "Yep, we've asked Gorilla to stay silent." "How about now?" "Yep, Hyena isn't saying anything." @Oxblood Beagle - Always a pleasure to play with you, despite being on opposite sides yet again. Maybe one day it'll work out Reading the Elim doc becomes more hilarious in light of the GM PM panicking I did about you and your claim to me with Penguin and I having more than one Evil!Coinshot discussion and it feels like we were both trying to outmaneuver each other at various points. @Amethyst Scorpion - Our PM felt surprisingly intense at times and I think I liked it - you were really, really good for drilling down to connections and implications and you were one of the players I trusted with knowledge of Penguin's scan back when she was hoping to draw a kill. It was also great to work with you on the same team again and reminiscent of a previous game, even though I felt our working style changed this game (for obvious and understandable reasons.) Sorry for paranoiding so much about you - I play Evil you enough to be wary, though by D5 I was looking more at Beagle and trusting you @Ivory Dragonfly - You got me there good, Bev'ika, but I enjoyed our PM so there's that too. Working with you for the first time in ages was great, even if our PM length horrified the GMs and we're both too tired to pull the same kayana drek we used to I appreciate that you held off from immediately roleclaiming, understanding how done I was @Amber Vulture - Pleasure working with you for real on the same team, since I think this wasn't quite true the last time we were in a game together. I'm glad you pushed me on how much I was willing to trust you, since that convinced me to take that leap of faith and link up with you D3. Agree it was for the best, but still felt you were gone too soon on N3. All the same, enjoyed our PM as well, even if you were probably one of the earliest players to ID me and probably one of the few I wasn't bothering to troll As always, your analyses were lethal though I expect we both got caught when it came to Falcon. @Pearl Chameleon - Fun PM! Enjoyed chilling and just generally not caring in your PMs No regrets defending E!you early on because our PM was great; hope we'll be Villagers together in future =) That was one heck of a cool CR, even if I didn't work out what you were doing until way too late. I'd apologise for the kel trolling but it was glorious >:) Shoutouts as well to @Onyx Flamingo, @Magenta Albatross, @Turquoise Gorilla, @Charcoal Hyena for being fun if short-lived PM partners.
