No, you're the sweetest frickin' thing I've ever scudding seen. ;)

Lyanör smiled back, but she still felt somewhat guilty for the trouble she'd caused them.

Saaphir managed to land a shallow cut on Ne’ik’s shoulder as he leaped backwards. Both of them eyed each other, and Saaphir found it curious that the man didn’t flee, but fought back. Saaphir had the sword, and it appeared that the man’s captors had taken his knives, though they could’ve been concealed. They circled each other, and Saaphir examined the man before him more carefully. They locked eyes, and Saaphir noticed something he hadn’t earlier due to his rage. This man looked almost identical to the murderer, but his eyes were a different color. Very dark brown, almost black, whereas his father’s killer had dark green eyes. Saaphir remembered those eyes all too well.

”I believe I made a mistake.” Saaphir said to the man, lowering his sword, letting the point rest on the ground. In more ways than one

We should probably finish fighting then, before y’all get back.

And of course when I get back, there’s a whole new page.

"You try doing better," Raviid muttered groggily.

“Save it for your dreams,” Ji said, grabbing and wrapping Verim’s arm around his shoulder. “Can you walk?”

“Coward,” he muttered, rolling his eyes. Ji picked Verim off the ground and held him like a damsel in distress, then started off in the direction where Elya and Lyanör went.

Sorry - didn’t see this :P

Also: Ne’ik will still be in the plot because he still wants to kill Elya. And Ji & Raviid now, I guess.

Also also: do you want Saaphir’s father’s killer to be related to Ne’ik? That could most definitely work.

Without another word, Ne’ik ran off into the night.

"Even I'm not being completely carried the whole way," Lyanör muttered, mostly jokingly.

"It was a joke, sorry. I really am grateful for what you did for me. So...thanks. Even if it did cause me more pain than I've ever had in my life before it did anything to make me better." Lyanör flashed Verim a small smile.

Good idea, want to have an evil step-brother or somethin?

Also I suppose I’ll wait here by the hospital until the other people get back, and join with the group I suppose. I’ll figure out my veangance later.

Saaphir watched him go, feeling slightly confused. That man and the murderer were not the same person, but had looked strikingly similar. From a distance, Saaphir could tell that they eyes were dark, and that everything else was pretty much the same, but up close he had been able to tell the difference. Saaphir sheathed inspected his blade, which still had a small bit of blood on it from where he had nicked his opponent. He rubbed his shoulder where the man’s powerful strike had hit him. He rolled up his sleeve to look at it, and saw that it was already quite bruised. Nothing that wouldn’t heal at least. He wiped the blood off his sword, then sheathed it. He leaned against the wall, arms crossed, and waited for the man’s captors to return. Perhaps they could tell him more about the man who looked so eerily similar to the one who killed his father.

Ne’ik slid along the streets, avoiding notice from passers-by, of which there were few at this time of the morning. [will edit more in; later? Idk but stay tuned]

It’s supposed to be early morning, right? We went to sleep in late afternoon, then woke up. So…

Yeah but he needs to do something first

Gotcha. In that case...

There was someone in the building; and it wasn't Ne'ik.

Elya fingered a throwing dagger with her free hand, quietly steadying her breathing. Her senses were a bit awry with Lyanor's weight against one side, but she could compensate for that. Unless it was a very certain someone, Elya could take care of whoever this was.

"Who's in there?" Elya asked. "And be quick about it."

Saaphir stepped out into the sunlight, hand resting on his sword hilt. Not an aggressive posture, but one that showed he could defend himself.

”I’m Saaphir, and I mean no harm.” He said. “To you at least. I came here to kill your friend in the hospital. I thought he was the man who had killed my father, but it wasn’t the right man. He looked eerily similar though. Anyway, he escaped his bonds as I arrived, and we fought briefly before he fled. I want to find answers, and feel I might be able to find them by joining with you. Yes, I do know who you are, and I agree with your cause. I’ve been watching your captive closely, and therefore you.”

"Yes." He escaped on his own? Or was there someone else?

Elya slid the knife back up her sleeve, her free hand now going towards her sword hilt; but then there was Verim and Lyanor, both weak and injured. She couldn't leave them--but she couldn't let the prisoner get away.

"Alright. If you would like to join us, then please start by capturing him again."

Posted

“He’s more skilled of a fighter than me, I’ll likely need your help, but I’m willing to assist in taking him down. Not kill him, but find out answers. Why do you want him?”

Posted

“If you are going after him, I’m coming with you. Besides, would you trust a stranger to look after your wounded?”

Posted

“Defeat Ne’ik might be possible for me to do, but not capture him. Bringing in someone alive is much harder than bringing in someone dead. Ne’ik escaped when I ceased to fight. I had no desire to kill him, or even seriously wound him, since he is not the man I thought he was. You expect one man to capture him without fully fighting him? It took several of you to capture him, I watched it.”

Posted

"Had I wanted him captured in the first place, it wouldn't have taken me long." Elya scanned her memory, wondering if he had actually been watching. There had been a few bystanders; he could've been one of them. "Could you bring him in alive if you could paralyze him?"
