@Lord Meeker could you do my characters now?

Spoiler

Current Era 3 Characters

Sarah Drown

Powers: Rebirth, and shortrange, rapid teleportation. She can teleport 1500 times in a period without sleep, and 50 times in a minute. Her rebirth works by creating a room, where when she dies, she will be reborn 24 hours after she dies. Someone else can create this room, by taking an invincible rock that she has also created, and putting it in the center of a closed room. She regenerates in the physical state she was 24 hours before she died, or at the state she last regenerated in.

Gender: Female

Age: 17

Skills: Fairly good fighter, average marksman, above average pickpocket, very good at using her powers,  really good prankster, incredibly good cheater, and a master at being annoying.

Appearance: 5’4, skinny,  long black hair, blue eyes.

Clothes: Black hoodie with white stripes, white t-shirt with black styling, with black pants with white styling and black shoes with white styling.

Equipment: A hand gun, and a footlong serrated knife with a slot to insert a battery, to make it a taser. She also carries lemon juice to pour on her knife.

Personality: She is incredibly annoying, but actually is a nice person, when she wants to be. She doesn’t want to hurt people and will protect her friends with her life, but will kill her enemies without mercy.

Weakness: She’s a hemophiliac. And cancer. That's her epic weakness. She dies from cancer, she's dead.

Backstory: She was the grand kid of the sister of the world hopper that raised Walker. That’s really all need to know. I'm leaving it open for CDS

Guild Affiliation: TUBA intern.

The Jackal

Powers: He has a mask that enhances his physical attributes, appears to enhance his senses, enhances his response time a startling degree, stop and reverse age, jump incredibly high, and to fill anyone who looks into the glowing red eyes of the mask with a burning hot hatred, and rage. He also has the surge of division, but this is a lot weaker, and come from a void spren trapped in a crystal on the forehead of the mask. The mask itself is in the shape of an anubis mask and has a long mouthpiece. It was created by an epic with power to infuse objects with powers, that she could not use. He had her make this mask, and staff, and then killed her to protect his identity. He then took a voidspren that was in a gemheart, and fixed it to the front of the mask, which added in the abilities of the division surge, and the radiation of hatred. And he can control his staff with his mind.

Age: 60+

Skills: He is an extraordinarily good fighter, a very good politician, and a very good strategist.

Gear: He has his mask, a full set of sandling scale armor coated in oil so it is waterproof, and a invincible obsidian staff with two very sharp blades on either end that he can break in half, re-fuse without leaving any damage on on the staff, and control it with his mind.

Weaknesses: The Mask where most of his powers from can be removed, his mask is always filling him with a deep burning hatred for everything, he likes to play with his food, bad at being a good person, Thrawn Syndrome, cannot work for anyone, cannot show any clue to his identity, he has so many problems with him that the person controlling him loses track and adds in new ones which are then forever in his character, as they have been rpd, hates sandlings, hates slavers more, will go out of his way to fight a worthy challenger, can’t stop scheming, will put curiosity before safety, has a soft spot for orphans, hates randomness, the voidspren on his forehead randomly tells him to go kill people or other completely unhelpful advice, he hates steel inquisitors, very closed off, likes dramatic entrances, if someone he trusts betrays him he will go to the ends of the alleyverse to make them suffer, his forehead glows, dislikes chaos marines, hates the fjordell religion.

Appearance: He is 6’8, has a long black trench coat over his black full body sandling armor, and his anubis mask with the red gemstone and eyes.

Personality: Beyond his dozen personality weaknesses, he is a intelligent, slightly patronizing, person who likes to debate, and can spin a story or scenario to his favor,

History: You’ll see. YOU’LL ALL SEE! BWA HA HA HA, HA HA HA HA!!!!

Eric Darkhold

Investiture: He has six spikes through his torso. Two are human speed, two human strength, one f pewter, the other f steel. He stores the extra strength when he doesn’t need it, and the same with the speed. He also has an epic power that allows him to double in all physical attributes, and to ignore pain, but at the cost of almost all of his intelligence, and it cannot be turned off. It goes on for the duration of one hour, and can only be done once per day.

Build: He is 6’6 in normal form, 7’8 in brute form, with extremely muscled build in normal form, and incredibly extremely muscled in brute form.

Skills: He is a mildly good fighter. That’s pretty much it.

Equipment: He has a dead shardblade in the shape of a large scimitar and a large shield.

Clothes: He has a black leather jacket, black pants, a black shirt, and black shoes, as well as a holder on his back for his large black shield.

Personality: He is kind of brutish in his behavior, and is loyal, to money. He likes to collect spikes from people he kills, and likes to kill people by spiking them. You pay him, he does what you want, no questions asked.

Weakness: Besides the six spikes through his body that make him very vulnerable to  a strong soother/rioter, he is also an idiot, and hates guns. He won’t use them. He won’t explain why, he just does.

Backstory: He was born on the reckonerverse earth, lived there for fifteen years, and then got epic powers when calamity arrived. He killed his family and friends. Then he made his way through the Alleys to Scadrial where he learned the very basics of hemalurgy, and spiked and killed two people: a pewter ferrring and a steel ferring. He stole each of their speed and strength, then their investiture. He then went on a rampage across the roughs before he ended up on Roshar and found a shard bearer. He challenged the man to a fight, and destroyed him. He only took the shardblade because he didn't realise that Shardplate could be repaired. Then he came to the Alleyverse and became a mercenary.

Guild Affiliation: Whatever guild pays him the most.

Gary

Investiture: He is a sandling who inevertantly has a trio of spikes: One that grants him human intelligence, another human speech, and the third atium spike granting him a fishes waterproofing.

Age: He’s had the spikes 3 years, and wasn’t keeping count before then.

Skills: He can burrow, and swing his arms effectively.

Personality: He his helpful and kind, and naive. He is very cheerful, and has a tendency to attack people he doesn’t like off of what they are doing when he meets them.

Weakness: He is a good natured, overly trusting, idiot. And the three spikes that he need to exist, and a fear of water, even though his spikes make him immune.

History: A hemalurgist who made tiny spikes for no apparent reasons, threw them into the sand, and he accidentally ran into them, and became what he is now. He then made his way into the Alleyverse, and hit the Jackal with his arm very hard.

Guild Affiliation: He doesn't know what these are.

Warren ‘Wraith’ Mathews

Investiture: He is an epic with the powers of being able to shift between two forms. The first of his forms is a 6’1’ man with pale skin and black veins, with elf ears, and black hair that has enhanced physical attributes. The second is a wraith that is intangible, to any impact, but can grab things or hit them, and can teleport between shadows in any range, though he has to know there is a shadow there to teleport to it. He can also shift its shape to his needs.

Build: He is 6’1’ and thin, like an elf.

Age: He is 18 years old.

Skills: Very good with his teleportation, and a skilled hand to hand fighter. He is also a good actor, and con artist.

Equipment: He carries a pair of obsidian knuckles, and smoke bombs/eclipse bombs. Eclipse bombs block out any light source, and make the area around them dark for about 15 minutes, but can only be produced by the Alchemist.

Clothes: He wears a black t shirt, black jeans, and black boots. He also wears sunglasses.

Personality: He is actually a joking and carefree person, but The Jackal wants him to act like a mysterious and deadly wraith, that doesn’t talk.

Weakness: He has an extreme adversity to light. In his first form, he will burn up in the sun in half an hour, and with a flashlight, will die in 300 hours, and in his wraith form he will die in the sun in half a minute, and in a flashlight in 30 minutes.

Backstory: He was born on reckonerverse earth, and lived there for 14 years, before he got his powers. Spent 3 years popping around stealing stuff, before the Jackal found him, and trained him in hand to hand fighting, and then he joined the Jackal

Silva Rey

Chapter: Raven Guard

Gender: Female

Investiture: She is a sandmaster who can control up to 5 strands at any one time, but is not very good with them, and usually just uses them in brute force attacks

Physical Appearance: Before the space marine augmentations, she was projected to be relatively short, at five feet tall, so her augmentations only brought her to 6' 5, and is built pretty much like a smaller scaled normal space marine. She has red eyes, and dark red hair that she keeps long, so that when she isn't wearing her armor, goes down to just below her shoulders.

Armor: Her armor is customized to lessen in protection, in favor of mobility. It has a jump pack that is modified so the thrusters are hidden within the back of the armor and can move, and readjust. The armor is minimized in weight and designed to be as small as possible, while still providing pretty much the same level of enhancements, with a defensive cost. The armor is colored black with red secondary coloration.

Personality: She is very loyal to the black Crusade, and fairly arrogant. She is fairly kind, but will kill her enemies without question.

Weapons. She has a pair of lightning claws strapped to either of her legs, and has a Lightning bolt gun on her back that she took from a chaos marine she killed. The gun has a box mag, and is loaded with kraken penetrator rounds. She also has an Accatran Pattern Mark 2 Laspistol.

Weakness: She is arrogant and brash, and has any weaknesses that come with being a space marine. She is also a hit and runner and will struggle in an extended fight

History: When she was born her parents gave her to the black crusade, and she spent the next twelve years of her life training without enhancements before going through them, as a member of raven chapter. She then spent another several years training before going into the field, specialising in hit and run attacks where she repeatedly charges through enemy lines, killing anyone she comes across, and she excelled in defeating her space marine sparing mates quickly, using her jump pack to get out of the way of her hits. At the end of her training she rose through the ranks of her chapter quickly, and soon led her own squad, which was very successful, until her CO turned to chaos marine, and got her entire squad, apart from her killed, and she now wants him dead, as much as she can, without violating the code fo the crusade.

The Alchemist

Investiture: He is a rithmatist, and he has a soulcaster.

Build: He is 6’5’, but has a slouch.

Age: 86

Skills: He is a skilled rithmatist, and very good with his soulcaster. He is also a scientific genius, though he is not as smart as Dusk.

Equipment: He has a staff that he clings to to stand up with a piece of retractable chalk on the end of it, and his soulcaster.

Clothes: He has a long black cloak, and dark brown clothes.

Personality: He is arrogant, but other than that he’s supportive and actually kind of a good person. Besides his sociopathy and complete disregard for human life that is. And his obsession with proving that he is smarter than Dusk.

Weakness: He is 86 years old, and could literally have a heart attack at any moment. And he’s arrogant.

Backstory: He was born on the rithmatist earth, and learned as much about modern science as he good until he became a rithmatist. Then he learned in the rithmatist school. And then he went exploring, fell in an alley, and ended up on roshar. He then started learning fabrial science, and soulcasting as an ardeth for the next 30 years of his life. He then stole his soul caster and  ran away. He would have been caught, but the Jackal saved him, before the Jackal was the Jackal. He was the only person in the Jackals team who knows who he is. He then joined a DA sub group and learned much about hemalurgy. He then joined the consortium when the Jackal made it.

Guild Affiliation: None. Well, kind of DA.

Okay, so trust me on this, he may seem OP at first, but that leg thing is a killer. In just about every scenario it's a major detriment.

Spoiler

Name: Connor O'Mailey

Epic Name: Volatile

Physical Characteristics: 6'3", messy red hair, blue eyes (yes I know, strange combo), scar running up right leg (ankle to about three-quarters of the way to the knee), full beard, looks like he could bench-press an elephant.

Epic Powerset:
Class A Explosions (melding of the two Class C powers)
Class C Fire Manipulation (can become fire, fly, shoot fire, etc. Qualifies as a Prime Invincibility)
Class C Altered Sweat Glands (sweats nitroglycerin like it was normal sweat. combines with ^ to make Explosions)

Skills: Punch/Explosion combo

Equipment: Sunglasses.

Weakness: Small spaces begin to negate his powers. The smaller the space, the more effect it has. More effective when covering large amounts of his skin, too.
Had a leg break that healed incorrectly, even with surgery, so he has trouble running or walking fast for very long. Some days he can't walk at all, and it
pains him constantly even when he can walk, leading to a fairly pronounced limp.

Family: Killed them with the rise of Calamity.

Home Planet: Earth (Reckoners)

Backstory: He was just shy of his 18th birthday when Calamity rose. Went mad once the powers came and killed his family, burning their house down around
them. Spent the years of Calamity's activities ruling Oak Ridge, TN, before another Epic tried to take over. The other Epic teleported him somewhere he
didn't know, or even knew existed: Alleycity, just outside the Odd Job Tavern.

Guild: TUBA

Personality: Brash, fiery, confident always, cocky even. Doesn't like to work under people. Feels no guilt over what he's done. He is determined to get back
to his old stomping ground and reclaim it from the one who gave him the boot to continue making his mark on history.

Theme Song: The Score - Legend

Fighting Style: In your face, punchy-punchy.

Two new characters, mainly intended for Hunt for the Jackal. They use the powersets I discussed earlier, and I'll include Voidus' scores of them later in the post.

Laplace:

  Reveal hidden contents

Name: Alice Fisher

Epic Name: Laplace

Gender: Female

Age: 35

Appearance: She is about 5'4'' tall, though she seems taller to people. Has shorter light brown hair and dark green eyes that turn violet when she's using her powers. Generally looks rather serious and strict. Wears glasses. For clothing she normally wears the Oxford professor's gown, but with a few modifications to allow for easier movement.

Powers:
    Laplace's Demon:

  • Primary power: Enhanced analytical abilities. This manifests in three different ways, Probability prediction, physics simulation, and pattern analysis.
Probability prediction allows for the analysis of trends from small data sets, allowing for the prediction of possible actions of groups of people, assigning probabilities to each possible action they can take. This works better the larger the group is, and the more data there is available. Predicting the actions of a single individual is much more difficult, even with insight into their personality. Larger groups, on the other hand, tend to average out.
Physics simulation allows for perfectly predicting the outcome of deterministic systems, such as the paths of a group of rocks falling down, or a roulette wheel. This ability requires knowledge of the rules behind the system to work though. Encountering an unknown phenomenon, or an non-deterministic one, makes usage of this ability impossible, and if she is only partially aware of the rules behind the system she can encounter errors in their analysis.
Pattern analysis allows her to take a phenomenon, or a number of incidents, and analyze the pattern behind them, creating a prediction of the rules it is based on. This works in concert with probability prediction and physics simulation, allowing her to establish the necessary rules for these to be able to work. The main issue with this, however, is that the rules she deduces might not be the actual rules that apply to a phenomenon or pattern, which might throw of her predictions by some degree.
This power is a semi-passive ability, with the power normally running subconsciously, with results manifesting as improved intuition, but she can also focus the ability on a specific task, which makes it much more effective, but requires her to consciously know what she's trying to analyze.
  • Secondary power: Area scan. This is an active ability that allows her to perfectly know everything about a 50 meter area centered on her. The issue here is that it isn't possible for her to consciously comprehend all this information, so she's only capable of accessing the positions, motions, and appearances of objects in this region, although she can also access information more specific information like temperature, sound, or specific materials, but this requires her to actually focus on acquiring this information, and on the specific place she wants the information from.
The interesting part about this ability, however, is that her first ability is also capable of making use of this information, but is capable of accessing the full breadth of information, granting what amounts to a pseudo danger sense, though limited to what information can be gathered from inside of the ability's active area (Note that threads don't have to be inside of this area to be noticed, but either this area or what can be perceived with their normal senses must contain the information necessary for the thread to be noticeable).

Skills: Intelligent (-30), Scholarship: Skilled (-30). While she doesn't have any actual combat abilities she'd probably make a decent long range sniper with some training because of her abilities (does this cost any points?).

Epic weakness: Dice. These will create an aura of about 2 meters around them that isn't visible to her Area Scan ability, and actually touching them will also negate her primary ability.

Weaknesses:

  • Her powers rely on the fact that whatever she's analyzing functions on rules. If something isn't based on rules, or if the rules aren't deducible then her powers can't give her any information.
  • Probability analysis can be defeated by making decisions based on random chance, with even something like flipping a coin to decide between to outcomes making her unable to predict the final action (as long as she doesn't see them flip the coin. If she sees them flipping the coin physics simulation will allow them to predict how it will land).
  • She needs to actually need to have data in order to make predictions, meaning that not having access to key data can lead to erroneous predictions. The same goes for actions of unknown third parties.
Note: Previous weaknesses were all oddities in her abilities, and were already taking into account by Voidus when calculating her total ability score.
  • She highly dislikes any form of combat, viewing it as beneath her, and because of this has very little experience in it, so her fights will mostly be her using her abilities to dodge attacks.

Personality: She has a strict, calculating personality, with a firm believe that the mind is much more important than the body, and that she is more intelligent than anybody else, so doing any fighting herself would be demeaning. She tends to have a personal hatred against people who mess up her predictions, and believes that her primary ability is actually her own genius shining through, and not an Epic ability (she's wrong, which she does know to some degree, but doesn't acknowledge).

Backstory: Originally a professor in mathematics at Oxford teaching statistics. She had a reputation for being highly intelligent, but also for being extremely strict and an ego that was much too big. After Calamity they started manipulating the university and town from behind the scenes, officially working as strategist for the local ruler but eventually becoming the de facto ruler. Eventually one of the other Epics in town tried to oust the leader though, and attacked them, defying her predictions at several points, causing them to develop a personal hatred for eachother, and seeing that she was going to lose, she managed to get into the alleyverse, where she managed to find the Jackal and decided to join the Bureau of Villainy.

Affiliation: Bureau of Villainy

@kenod information based abilities can be really hard to judge but this is how it'd be rated.
Laplace's Demon
Primary - 30 points
Secondary - 30 points
Synergy - 30 points
Total - 90 points

Maxwell:

  Reveal hidden contents

Name: Karin Hunter

Epic Name: Maxwell

Gender: Female

Age: 23

Appearance: She's 5'6'' tall, with long black hair and grey eyes. She normally wears a t-shirt and jeans, but wears a white lab-coat over them.

Powers:
    Maxwell's Demon:

  • Primary power: Separation of heat and cold. She can take heat from different substances, transferring it into something else. She can do this even when the substances are at thermal equilibrium, or when the substance she's taking heat from is colder than the substance she's transferring the heat to. This ability is much easier to use on gasses, with solids being the most difficult to use this ability on. The lowest temperature a substance can be brought to differs, but for air this is generally around -60°C (-76°F), and for other substances this lowest temperature is generally a lot warmer, with gasses being close to this temperature, fluids being close to -20°C (-4°F), and solids being around -5 °C (23°F), unless their phase will change while their temperature is being reduced, in which case either the lowest temperature for that phase or the current temperature will be the limit, whichever is lower. There isn't any real limit on the maximum heat that can be transferred to a substance, though gasses take less effort and are more useful. In order to transfer the energy the substance needs to be inside of 50 meters of her.
Additional notes: When not using this ability on gasses some time is necessary to gather the focus to use the ability, and both extracting and adding the heat will take time (gasses take time as well, but this is fast enough to seem instant). This also means that this ability doesn't work as an instakill on living beings.

  • Secondary power: Gas manipulation. She's capable of aerokinetic control of gasses, but with the peculiarity that this control takes more effort the closer the gasses are to thermal equilibrium compared to the gasses around them, with anything less than 10°C (18°F) difference from equilibrium being too close to manipulate, and a difference of 40°C (72°F) is necessary for full control, which generally gives the appearance of her manipulating freezing winds and flames/hot winds. Again, her control area for this ability is 50 meters. The controlled air can reach speeds of about 17 m/s, so enough to shake trees but not enough to toss larger/heavier things about, or create significant destruction. She can't compress the air, but are capable of stopping air from expanding or contracting from the sudden changes in heat, which means that if the air is hot enough she can actually use the additional pressure to knock people away, but at these temperatures they'd probably prefer that, since it's more survivable than being in the center of a fireball.

  • Peculiarities: The amount of heat they can put in a hot area is fairly small in the beginning, unless they create a large cold area and then channel all the heat into a small area. However, when heat flows back into cold areas, or from warm areas into the surrounding air, they can use the energy generated during this to increase the amount of heat inside of their hot areas. The increased heat inside of these areas will increase the heat flow, which will also increase the amount of heat generated, creating a compounding effect. This still has limits though, as they aren't immune to the heat and cold themselves, meaning that building up too much heat will kill them, and if the gas changes to plasma they'll lose control over it, causing all the heat to flood back into the general area, causing a large explosion. At the same time, because of their range limits they'll run into trouble if they use their ability for too long, as they'll end up cooking themselves, and they need to watch out when disengaging their ability as the resultant explosion might injure or kill them otherwise. They can also release control over zones they control, causing implosions and explosions because of temperature differentials (they can also use this to create energy, but it is more difficult because of the speed, causing large efficiency losses, generally losing 90% of the heat stored in the zone. This is mainly a method for decreasing the amount of time it takes to build up their temperatures again). If they have a bit of time to focus they can also combine their hot and cold zones to generate energy faster, or manipulate the shape and force of the explosions, this is a more advanced usage that needs training, and can't be improvised.

Skills: Intelligent (-30), Scholarship: Average (-20)

Epic Weakness: Failing to meet a goal she set for herself, or that she accepted from someone else. When this happens her powers will immediately shut down, and the time it takes for them to work again will depend on the importance the goal held for her. This also works for goals she sets herself unconsciously, such as needing to defeat an enemy.
Warning: triggering this weakness is a bad idea when she has been using her powers for a while and you're in the vicinity, since at that point reality tends to reassert itself, which tends to have explosive results.

Weaknesses:

  • She's vulnerable to her own powers, meaning that if she uses them for too long, and compounds the heat too much she can fry herself, or get killed when not releasing the heat properly, which can take a while if it has been building up for too long.
  • She can be rather brash, which means she sets herself goals quickly, which means she has to follow through on them.
  • Hates Laplace, and has defeating her as a goal, meaning that she's willing to sacrifice and/or betray almost anything and anyone to kill her, and can easily be controlled or led into a trap using this.
  • Her powers take a while to get going, meaning that she's stuck with just cold air until she gets a good level of compounding going and her powers become really dangerous.

Personality: Tries to think things through, often loses control quickly, getting enraged or hot-blooded, especially when using her abilities. She doesn't use her abilities often though, or at strong levels, because of the dangers involved, meaning that the Corruption isn't as strong for her. Often sets goals for herself, despite her weakness, since it allows her to motivate herself.

Backstory: Originally went to Oxford where she studied physics, but relied on a scholarship, which meant that she always needed to push herself to reach various goals in order to keep it. When Calamity came she was in her third year, and after living in the Epic controlled town for a while she decided she had enough with it and got together with a few other Epics to take over themselves, in the process ending up picking a fight with Laplace, who she still disliked from before Calamity. Setting herself the goal of defeating her, she followed her to the alleyverse after Laplace went there, and has continued looking for her, having received word that she was working for the Bureau of Villainy.

Hey there, just some questions and things you could add/change:

Could you elaborate on his power set? Can he conjure fire? It works as a prime invincibility so it should be class B or more, is it weakened in water?

Epic weaknesses correlate to fears and phobias, is Connor claustrophobic or does it relate to a bad experience?

Can Connor be harmed by fire? Is he immune to his own?

Can my characters refer to him as Kaachan?

True, but for Maxwell weaknesses still need to be calculated, since her abilities add up to 110 points. But if they're okayed, can you add them to the list?

He can conjure/become fire, the only reason it's as low as Class C is he doesn't use it in all of its might most of the time.

He is both claustrophobic and the way his leg got broken was a building falling on him on an earthquake so it is also a traumatic experience.

He is immune to fire.

Perhaps they can.

@Blessing of Potency Not quite, but I did strongly consider doing that instead of Bakugo.

@kenod On Maxwell's weakness, my concern is that it won't ever come into play. They can just not set goals or not accept them from other people and completely avoid their weakness.

Can you describe it to me a bit more? Like what counts as an unconscious goal? Is it anything she sets her mind to do? In that case it may be more apt to describe the weakness as a fear of failure.

Can you describe it to me a bit more? Like what counts as an unconscious goal? Is it anything she sets her mind to do? In that case it may be more apt to describe the weakness as a fear of failure.

The main thing is that she isn't capable of not setting goals. It's one of her personality traits. Sure, she knows she shouldn't do it, but she does it anyway. Part of this is because it's necessary for her to motivate herself by setting goals, and part of it is because she's just so accustomed to it that she can't not do it, to the point that what she's going to eat for breakfast or dinner counts as a goal.

As for unconscious goals, your interpretation is pretty good, and fear of failure might also work, but it would bring Limelight to mind, and stuff like failing another person doesn't trigger it, unless she already made it an actual goal for herself to help them. there's also the fact that failure tends to imply larger things, while for her something like not making the breakfast she planned to eat could trigger it, although only for a short time.

He can conjure/become fire, the only reason it's as low as Class C is he doesn't use it in all of its might most of the time.

That being said, the full potential of it would bring it to class B or A.

Here's something rudimentary for scoring weaknesses for the index:

Spoiler

Weaknesses are very hard to score, and if a mod sees that they aren't being acknowledged, point values are decreased for said weakness. I'm scoring them based on consequence, not the weakness itself.

There are three two of weaknesses:

Passive weaknesses:

Weaknesses that are always in effect, they might be things like being blind, schizophrenic or physically impaired (amputated limbs, etc)

Active weaknesses:

Weaknesses that must be engaged, like epic weaknesses, PTSD or other things that can trigger a breakdown.

So here's the scoring:

Inhibition can mean anything from a limp to loss of investiture.

Breakdown means that when the weakness is engaged, the person can no longer fight.

Limiters are minor effects in combat.

Active Combat Breakdown: 30 Points

Active Combat inhibition: 10-25 Points

Passive Combat inhibition: 20-25 Points

Passive Limiter: 5-15 Points

Active Limiter: 0-5 Points.

I'll add more when I get the chance.

So this would be the category the leg thing would fall under.

What do I do if his actual Epic weakness can fluctuate between these two? Like if you trap him in a really tight spot, he'll have a breakdown, but it's only inhibiting him for a while before that.

@kenod In that case I think that definitely the weakness is worth more than 10 points. I would rate it at about 25 points.

It is within the power levels, and if @Lord Meeker could add both characters to the master list it would be great.

I think that the weakness list is a good start, but that weaknesses will always be the most subjective part of the Index.

Voidus is the boss for Epic characters, and I'm not really sure what system he uses, but I do agree that the Leg is a killer.

Well. Here is that strange character I was talking about. He is missing a backstory, but I wanted him to be reviewed as early as possible.

  Reveal hidden contents

Name: White Steel. (A nickname given by his third master.)

Physical Characteristics: Is an object. Made up of millions of strong (1.5 the sturdiness of steel) white microscopic components that can climb on each other, grab on to each other, and disconnect. Together, they form an armor like thing. (Think Iron man infinity war)

Investiture: Is a type IV bichromatic entity. Runs on stormlight, has a telepathic link with his master.

Skills:

  • Adept at transforming quickly and on command.

  • Has learned to intake, transport, and ignite gunpowder and use it in combat.

  • Has a few small speakers inside of him that he can control to play any song, say any letter, or speak a basic word such as what, there, if.

Equipment: He is the equipment.

Weaknesses:

  • Cannot move or fight unless connected to his master.

  • Once he has chosen a master, he cannot leave him by his own decision.

  • Will obey every command as well as he can that his master gives him.

  • When a component breaks, it is disconnected from him. He cannot repair himself unless he is given stormlight and time.

  • (If this character has room to be more powerful, I would like this weakness removed) He has one component, his core, which is about as strong as shardplate, but if is destroyed, he will lose all the breath in him and “die”

Family: His first master, Volaran, is dead. No real family though.

Home planet: Roshar

Guild: Tuba

Psyche: His command was to protect, obey, and serve his master. When Volaran was killed, he decided that whoever used him next would be his master.

Personality: Upbeat. Can feel no other emotion

Appearance: Most components are a dull white. Can take any shape. Has grey veins running through him when he is fueled with gunpowder. His core is a bright blue mixed with a bit of yellow.

Theme song: Wrecking ball. (He plays it whenever he is fighting)

Fighting style: Protect and provide weapons for his master.

Backstory:

A worldhopper named Volaran had discovered a perpendicularity and traveled between worlds frequently. During the battle of Thaylen Field, he saw in amazement Szeth wield nightblood and desperately wanted to make something to combat it in strength. So he returned to Nalthus and with a few gem hearts he stole from Roshar, he bought a thousand breaths and forged what he called, the armor.

He awakened it with the command, protect, obey, and serve your master. He then wore it to battle and began to become a renowned warrior. Unbeaten ever. But one night, another man snuck into Volaran’s house and killed him in his sleep. With his master gone, the armor didn’t know who to serve so he just decided to serve his master’s killer who nicknamed him, White Steel.

He then jumped from master to master, planet to planet, for a long time until he ended up with a smuggler. The smuggler was attempting to sneak a large shipment of spiked cookies into TUBA but accidently made the container in which he put the cookies and himself airtight. He suffocated and white steel was left without a master and is now looking for one.

I feel like this got lost during Invocation’d approval. Thought I would just refresh because I need to discuss this guy with people.

She regenerates in the physical state she was 24 hours before she died, or at the state she last regenerated in.

Weakness: She’s a hemophiliac. And cancer. That's her epic weakness. She dies from cancer, she's dead.

Backstory: He was born on Roshar and joined the Alethkar army when he was a teenager. Nobody knew what to do with him becuase his eyes were never dark or light, so he was treated as a darkeyes, but allowed to use a sword. He trained in the sword and through brute force made his way up the rank by crushing the parshendi. He was a sergeant under Sadeas when a parshendi shard bearer attacked his unit. Sadeas was on the other side of the battlefield fighting another shard bearer, who escaped by the way, so his unit was on their own. He managed to disarm the parshend then push them off the cliff into mouth of a chasmfiend. He then left the army to escape Sadeas to stop him from taking the blade for himself. He made his way to the Alleyplanet where he found a hemalurgist and learned hemalurgy. He then found six people; a steel ferring, pewter ferring, and four random soldiers, who he got his spikes from. He became a mercenary and spent several years doing anything anybody paid him to do.
