If i can remember it was through the spikes like even spook and vin were affected by Ruins control (Vins Earing) but Steel inquisitors i imagine were spiked several times with those huge spikes. I think he could just easily take hold of Marsh despite him being so powerful

I always thought Vasher 'got what he needed' through highstorms which is like pure investiture? Near the end of the book Kaladin goes to find him to ask advice and he is chilling in his hammock Which is held up by what looked like two lightning rods in the middle of a Highstorm... That made me think he just leeches of pure investiture from the high storms instead of taking a breath.

Turning protagonists into antagonists for fun
AerionBFII replied to kari-no-sugata's topic in Stormlight Archive
After all the horror of the lighteyes put Kaladin through I'm amazed he didn't come the Rosharan Spartacus and lead a slave revolt..... hah hah you're lucky he's a nice guy Dalinar ! -

In a WOB somebody asked if being a Surgebinder/Radiant lengthens their life, the answer was as expected.....'RAFO'

I always thought they would be pretty even, it would depend more on the person and who's bond is stronger...

I think she avoids Hoid because of the setting; -"She picked an informant on the other side of the spectrum--a beggar named Hoid whom Cett claimed could be found in a particular square late at night...She soon located a figure that wasn't sleeping like the others, but sitting quietly in the light ashfall. Her ears picked out a faint sound. The man was humming to himself, as the instructions sad that he might be doing. Vin hesitated. She couldn't decide what it was, but something bothered her about the situation. It wasn't right. She didn't stop to think, she simply turned and jumped away." Hoid assuming he was alone and acting out of character of his beggar facade. In my opinion the whole scene looks a little sinister a lone figure in an ash-falling street....at night? She new he would be humming but i think the tone and his body language puts her street rat instincts on high alert. I just think that what gets her hackles up is how out of character he seems to be from what she was told..

How Hoid gets his powers... (Spoilers)
AerionBFII replied to LinkasZelda's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Hoid predates the shattering of Adonalsium. So couldn't Adonalsium have invested in Yolen like the separate Shards do on sel, Scad, Roshar? making it possible for Hoid to awaken the right DNA and gain the abilities of separate Shards since their all just pieces and traits of the original God? Edit** sorry for the crappy phrasing im getting ready for work and im late haha- 16 replies

Which Shardworld would you most like to live on?
AerionBFII replied to TheShogun's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Oh contraire my friend!! The war and world shaking events makes it more fun ; ) If i was in the Cosmere i would see myself as the main character, my arrogance demands it haha so by default i should make it through haha : D -
When I first read the book I thought of Steris as a cold formal woman but reaching the end of the book she struck me as a cold formal woman wrapped around a nympho when Wax saved her she seemed a little exited

Hey guys this is an awesome thread I've only been skimming through because I'm at work and have been accused of playing Angry Birds twice This is quite a gruesome theory but could you cut the skin and place a bead of Lerasium inside the cut ? Like a alternate of Hemalurgy? Placed Inside the body so no Allomancy could touch it? Do you think that could give the 'holder' watered down Mistborn abilities?? "I protect the element like I protect my skin"

Which Shardworld would you most like to live on?
AerionBFII replied to TheShogun's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Stormlight Archive was the first Cosmere series i read so my sense of loyalty says Roshar But i would World Hop and steal Magic Systems and achieve ultimate power mwahahaha -
How did he do THAT??? (Pure Conjecture, Spoilers for WoR)
AerionBFII replied to GeoMancer's topic in Stormlight Archive
A WOB said that Hoid can survive getting his head cut off even by a Shardblade, but the type of healing he uses also heals the soul -
i would prefer an actual interlude instead of stick it was funny but i wouldn't let it take up book space since i want every word to count in the SA
-
Sigzil isn't a Worldhopper but he has traveled with Hoid on one of his 'visits'

I always thought that after a Desolation the next one is worse then the next one worse still and on and on and on. Like gradually grinding them down and the next on be it the 100th or the 10th it is supposed to break them.
-
Stormlight Archive both of them!! But since i have to choose WOR because it is the newest and progresses the story!! XD WOK reached out and grabbed me into the Cosmere and i have now read all of the Cosmere books never have i read a series like it. Warbreaker is my fave after SA, I like Mistborn but it's no match for Kaladin, Dalinar and Wit. It's such a unique and diverse world rich in world building and originality. I am now literally obsessed with the characters and plot and plan on seeing the Cosmere all come together! XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD

Am i missing something ??
-
YES!! YES!! YES!! YES!! YES!! YES!! YES!! YES!! YES!! YES!! YES!! YES!! YES!! YES!! YES!! YES!! YES!! I thought this as well! Hoid is the most powerful in the Cosmere (excluding Shards) might just be him able to Worldhop internally.

There hasn't been enough main female characters yet so ill choose Unknown. Navani strikes me as a couger but she's smitten with Dalinar LOL Jasnah is an ice queen when it comes to men, atleast until Hoid will woo her on their adventures in the epilogue. (Bonnie and Clyde) Shallan is possible but i only like her in small doses but i'd personally like to see him with somebody else
