    Wayne?

Okay thanks, I need to reread Alloy of Law, it's been a while. Thanks for sourcing from the book though, It kind of bugs me sometimes when Sanderson gives teasers for his own books, granted I still take advantage of it when I can and ask him fun questions Anyhow, I hope the Kandra get the chance to have relationships and families. However, from a writing standpoint, having such a different culture like they do in the first books is proabbly more interesting.
  3. Creativity, Order. . . It's also clearly a play on real life Christianity, we can see this by the way their church is set up, the architecture and things like that.
  4. I don't think it's been mentioned yet, but somebody made an 8track playlist here that is wonderful for Stormlight. I've been listening to it for three days straight. Radiants Rising

    Wayne?

I'm assuming there's WoB on Sazed changing the Kolos right? Sorry, I'm not terribly up to date on things not expressly written or hinted at in the books. As far as I'm concerned, if it's not in the books themselves, then it's not canon yet. Anyhow. I have trouble seeing Sazed letting the Kolos be their own race and not giving the same gift to the Kandra, unless he has a very specific and important reason not to.
  6. Sell. . Or partly Sell. I would personally love to see Kell and Demoux interact, but I don't think it will be on Roshar. I would LOVE it is Demoux got a hold of Szeth's Oathstone thing though.
  7. Buy. This identity is very important to Szeth. I like how his chapters start. Bloody Tan in Shadows of Self is actually a Kandra borrowing his body.
  8. Buy. The World hoppers will be insanely important to the plot of Stormlight.

I don't see why one couldn't be full Mistborn and only have one Ferring ability (or visa versa). It's all suposed to be genetic, so it makes sense. You could do similar things without genetics if you had powers by Hemalurgy My main reason for suspecting Wayne of being a Ferrcumist is not just his personality, but in 'Hero of Ages' we learn that the Lord Ruler turned every living Ferrcumist into a mistwraith. Yet a thousand years later, even with the breeding programs, we have Sazed and an entire group of Terris keepers. So, Despite the Synod being destroyed, it's not that hard to imagine feruchemy has survived the last 300 years to Alloy of Law. Yes, I'm aware that there is a certain male problem in their population but still, 300 years isn't a long enough time for pure feruchemy to die out compared to the 1,000 years where it managed to survive. I agree with the Kleptomaniac idea though, It's clear that Wayne views the world very differently from others, and perhaps it is a matter of him simply thinking steeling identities is fun, or a way to help him handle or understand other people.

    Wayne?

In the Alloy Of Law news paper pictures there's a whole story about Koloss, an article about 'Faceless Immortals' who take people's appearances, and a list of ways to keep Iron Eyes from killing you. The fun thing is, since it's in this little newspaper, you can't guarantee what is truth and what isn't. I mean do you really think putting garlic or something like that under your pillow would keep Marsh from killing you if he wanted to? LOL Seriously, can't you just see it?

I never thought of him being related to a kandra. . . Uh. . . I can see where you're getting the idea, what with his habits/borderline addiction of impersonating people. I don't think I believe it, but it is a very interesting thought. I've always been under the impression that Wayne's a full blown Feruchemist. In his case he's memorizing and storing accents and personalities. (along with his healing ability) In the 'Shadow of Self' preview we see him repeating accents to himself out loud, just as Sazed did in 'Well of Ascension' when recording information about the Inquisitor stronghold.
  12. Sweet, I wish I was artsy in any way, shape, or form. I would love to see Prof kicking butt with his powers, like the scene where he comes to save Megan and David in the tunnles.

    Legion II

Maybe it can come out with book one as a set, that would be cool, especially since book one is so hard to find, what with having only so many copies in print.
  14. Ah, my bad. I thought I'd read everything. Oops! Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
  15. Just for the sake of being a deviant, I would like to point out that the Lord Ruler had several immortal servants at his command. As long as they could find a look alike body, a Kandra could go get it's head cut off in the Lord Ruler's place, then the Lord Ruler shows up later saying 'hey, look I survived!" Though, to be honest, I'm pretty sure that someone in one of the histories mentioned Alendi surviving some crazy things too, so I would guess a lot of the stories were flat out propagandic lies, or legends changed over time. Not to say that Allomancy + Feruchemy couldn't pull something like that off, if used right.
  16. Hey, no one said the gift was a nice gift. It would not surprise me at all if Alcatraz gifts Bastille some Oculator abilities. In this case I'm sure the gift will be much appreciated, though knowing Bastille, I'm sure she'll find some way to yell at Alcatraz anyways.
  17. Face palm LOL This is great. Good job guys.
  18. Alcatraz can't actually die on this alter though right? I mean he is writing the story as we read it. He also refers to several other characters being alive as he's writing, Bastille being one of them.
  19. I really like this idea, I hadn't thought of it, but honestly I think it could be a very Sanderson thing to do, so small it might be ignored. I don't think that could be the ONLY reason but I do like it. I also like this idea and imediantly thought 'yes!" but then I wondered, technically, the art of rithmatics is a very analytical thing, based off of geometry and stuff, so that doesn't necessarily hold. Then again, Chalklings themselves seem to be based more on a creative side, as seen by Melody's chalklings. In that case, I do think that things like gears and Analytical thought is important and might HARNESS the magic, but not necessarily BE the magic, and may even be against it in the long run. This is my fear as well. Sanderson writes a lot of stories about a rise to godhood, but what if Joel chooses something else?
  20. Finnaly sat down and read Warbreaker and Elantris. So here are some new songs to add to the list. -- Has anyone found any good 'Alloy of Law' music? If you find a song refering to Kandra AND Alloy of Law then you get extra points. Warbreaker demons -- imagine dragons The light in me --Brandon Heath (This was the first song I decided matched the book, It's funny, but I was only like, five chapters in at the time) Goodbye – secondhand serenade You Decide -- Fireflight Elantris Mercy in Darkness -- Two Steps from Hell Somewhere out there – Linda Ronstadt and James Ingram In your sight – Kerrie Roberts First time – life house (I think this is my favorite from the list, fits Roaden and Serene fer well.) let my people go -- From The prince of egypt movie (LOL Harathern LOL) he is not one of us (Also for Harathen) Nobody lives without love - From Batman Forever Nightmare – Secondhand serenade serenade (Probabbly by other favroite for Elantris. It even mentiones letters like Raoden and Serene were sending back and forth)
  21. Yes, Ivy always seems most worried when 'Her' is mentioned. I like the idea that maybe Stephen adapting to the skill set, or taking over a skill set from a hallucination ends up destroying it. I belive Tobias says something the the idea 'how long before you won't need us anymore?' when finding out that Stephen was capable of solving a large part of the mystery himself, I believe they were talking about the flash on the camera near the end. I've always been under the impression that Stephen was once able to learn very quickly and do all the things his hallucinations can do until he got so much information in his head that he, in a sense, broke apart. Thus the hallucinations. This would explain why it's dangerous to have too many around him at a time. I've have also wondered if the 'her' is a hallucination. Right now I'm leaning to a NO on that. I'm not sure, but it seems too predictable and cliche' feeling, for Sanderson, then again, maybe that's all the more reason for him to do something like that. Oh and just for a note, I listened to the audio book again and I'm pretty convinced it doesn't spesify how long J.C. has been around.

    Legion II

No one seems to be giving Legion as much attention as it deserves; there is a lot packed into that tiny book! The steelhunt special features revealed the name of the next Legion. I am sooo excited! I can't wait!
  23. His missing apsects seem to also be related to 'Her' Ivy seems to get worried whenever Stephen starts looking into tracking down his missing friend, whomever she may be.
  24. That's a good point Quiver, for example I'm pretty sure the music at the balls in Mistborn were mostly string instruments. Why? And how would it progress from the music of the Final Empire to the later empire in Alloy of Law? Will the different religious fractions have different tastes in music? From my classes in humanities, it seems that art movements tend to react to the previous movement, most of the time as a contrast or stand against it. What about the skaa's freedom? what new music would they bring if given the chance to do more than clean streets and grow crops?
