  1. I would like to announce that I purchased my bi-weekly set of D&D minis, and got a DRAGON. This makes me happy.
  2. I would like to announce that I was certain that was a llama.
  3. Nothing. I think people were just being mean to you for kicks. Internet anonymity strikes again. There, I voted that post up for you.
  4. Until just last year, BYU actually blocked YouTube. Then intelligent people talked them out of it.
  5. Evangelion is famous for its incomprehensible, depressing, and incomprehensibly depressing ending.
  6. Dr. Horrible's Sing-along-blog.
  7. As of tomorrow, I am FINALLY (almost a year after starting Eye of the World) starting in on The Gathering Storm.
  8. They gave him a smaller room because half the people attending his class were not actually enrolled in his class. Which is, apparently, a bad thing for some reason?
  9. I think it was in the Tor Q&A where he said that it would either be 32 or 36 books. He mentioned that 32 was a more significant number in the cosmere, but had doubts that he could squeeze the entire story into that few books. He never mentioned multiples of 16, he just said that 32 was significant.
  10. We know that Odium visited Sel before the events in Elantris, which is presumably when they were splintered.
  11. It occurred to me, some1, since Hydreigon and Zoroark are both dark types, and Zoroark is only a single type, maybe you should consider dark covered by Hydreigon and choose something else besides Zoroark? Sure, my team would have three dragons in it, but they all cover another type as well.
  12. They gave him a smaller room this year. Pretty dang near impossible.
  13. I would like to announce that this just made my day . I haven't decided between between Snivey or Oshawott yet. gonna use Zoroark, Abagoura, Sazandora, and the rest is undecided. I'm such a nerd Pokebeach has all the english names up. Hydreigon is Sazandora's english name. Zoroark is only available through an event, I think. Best of luck getting one.
  14. Alloy of Law is 200 years after HoA.
  15. Let's see... 1) I'm pretty sure you're right about this one. As far as I know, only women are ever called Brightness. 2) Somebody asked this on Tor's Q&A session. He RAFO'd it. Whatever the distinction between the epochs is, it must be important to the story. 3&5) If there are different names, they don't appear in the book. Somebody should try asking Brandon (though that sounds like something he'd RAFO.) 4) Presumably, the only Gods hanging around Roshar are The Almighty(Honor), Cultivation, and Odium. The only one who seems to be commonly known is The Almighty. The Heralds apparently served The Almighty before breaking the Oathpact and going their separate ways. Whatever powers they had came from The Almighty. So, no, they are not gods themselves, but they may have enough power to convince others that they are.
  16. I would like to announce that I have decided on Emboar, Zebstrika, Seismitoad, Reuniclus, Vanilluxe, and Hydreigon. I may substitute Zekrom and Kyurem for Zebstrika and Vanilluxe eventually though.
  17. Looks legit to me. Get started already!
  18. ...use Heavy Lourde. In case of mystery meat...
  19. No, then he'd be calling himself Numuhukumakiakiaialunamor. (I spelled that from memory. I'm pretty sure there should be an apostrophe.)
  20. Well then. Hmm... I'd never even heard of Pathfinder before now. Googling it, it looks like a 3rd party spinoff of 3.5. When did that come out? Also, to get this back somewhat on topic, I would like to announce that I am playing Epic Mickey, and it is.
  21. You can always do play-by-post. Just like any forum RPG, but you follow the rules for whatever system you want to play. Mythweavers.com is a site dedicated to that purpose, with built in dice rollers and character sheets for most major systems. They don't, however, keep the rules handy, so you'll still need the books. Technically we could start up a game right here, but everyone would need to have actual dice. There's also a free MMORPG based on 3.5 Eberron, but that's not what you're talking about.
  22. See? Strong opinions. I actually started out on 3.5, and played that for many years. (Level 24. Yeah, we killed Tiamat.) But my DM would insert random bits and pieces from 2nd edition and it took me a LONG time to really learn what was going on.
  23. Oh yeah? Which system? Some friends and I started a new Pathfinder campaign, which we're all pretty stoked about. I've actually been thinking about DMing again at some point in the future, although I don't know when I would find the time for it. I deliberately left out which system I used because of some...strong opinions some people have on the subject.
  24. I've been trying to get a group started for a long time now. My apartment building had a game night last night, and I just decided to give it a shot. I grabbed my Player's Handbook, went to the meeting place, and said, "Hey, D&D's a game. Anyone want to come play with me?" Four of them agreed reluctantly, and one girl said, "Oh, I've always wanted to try that!" (That's probably what got at least two of the guys to come in the first place.) But everyone was having fun by the end!
