Well, Apocalypse is kind of a hard sell to begin with. The character is, frankly, kind of awful. His M.O and regalia makes him seem like an A-List villain -definitely an opinion bolstered by the way everyone reacts when he shows up- but in practice, he's very solidly a B-List X-Villain. I actually kind of liked some of Apocalypse early scenes in the film... but he quickly became sort of a generic villain, which is disappointing.

The main city stye setting I'm tinkering with lately is...kind of like Venice. Canals, streets of water, that sort of thing... So, I use boats.

So. X-Men Apocalypse. Spoiler free? S'alright. The above sentence should be said with kind of a half-hearted shrug, because... well, it's okay. Not great, not terrible. Just... okay.
-
Also, woo! X-Men! Going to see that film tonight, hoping it's good. Review to follow. Maybe.

I haven't read Calamity yet, so I can't actually comment on the viability of that as a character thing. As a player, I am all for more Lyla interaction! And as an english graduate, I feel obligated to support my "peep" in getting into the game. : P

I like steampunk aesthetics, so my vote for that is hardly impartial. But why they light the lanterns... maybe it's a cultural precept? If we're talking about steampunk, well, there's a lot of social etiquette going on in Victorian England; it might be that not lighting the gaslamps simply isn't "the done thing". Or... maybe they can't control the lights? Maybe the lights are controlled remotely by... something. They don't know or understand what, they just know that they can't actually turn them on or off themselves.

... Uh. Storms. Sorry guys! I slept yesterday away on account of work, so looks like I missed the festivities, actions and frantic politicking to convince people not to vote or stab in my direction. Sorry!

Anyone know a good fanfiction site? There's an anime I've been watching lately that I'd like to find fics for.

Or, 'am I the only one who worries about this?' So... I tend to be...concerned. when trying to come up with ideas, I can maybe come up with a single concept I like, or idea I think is cool... But I worry, a lot, about the river drying up. About the mine being empty, the book being blank. I worry -a lot- that the reason I only e er have random vague ideas is because I'm not creative enough and running out of ideas is a matter if "when", not "if". Does anyone else ever have that kinda worry?

Dunno if this is a pet peeve, exactly, but I don't like when people shout. Cheers and stuff...i don't like that, exactly, but I can deal with it. But people shouting in anger bugs me. (Even though I kind of have a bad temper sometimes myself...) So... pet peeve. Loud noises.

It's a joke, in reference to her being Cthullhu. In Cthullhu's first appearance, he wakes up, gets bit by a boat, and goes back to sleep again. : P

Are...are you saying meeting Nighthound is the equivalent of sending a kid to prison to scare them straight? "See Lyla, this is what an epic is like-" "So awesome! Can you slave more than just people? Can you turn it off? What's it like? Oh, do me, do me!"

Teenage fangirl leads to a potentially suicidal option. Clearly Lyla grew up reading Twilight.

For a second, Lyla was silent. Except it didn't feel like a second, it felt like several days, and she wasn't saying anything, but that was only because she was running out of synonyms for 'sparking' and 'awesome'. "That is. It's. Wow." She tried not to hear how utterly lame that sounded. "That is so.... and you're like wow, and..." She couldn't contain herself any longer. "I've gotta get a picture with you!" She hesitated -just slightly- before pushing her camera into doctor Games hands. "Wait, better idea! Poses! Like, cross your knives at my throat, or act like you're gonna stab me! That'll look really dramatic and awesome, and can you do sound effects? Like with words? It's be like a real life comic book!"

Violet eyes surveyed the sky, a curiosity lurking just below the boredom. His pet lumbered up the hill behind him, chests weighed upon it's back. The dark-haired man sighed at last. "Barely a breeze," he pronounced at last. "If there were any wind spren, they wouldn't be riding on that." A shame; the man was quite curious what a spren would look like away from home. The chull came to rest beside him. It was an odd creature, so far from home. It didn't seem to like the colourful flowers, anymore than Valan Quivar, Highprince of Jah Keved, liked the heat. It reminded him of the Reishi Isles, but without the libertine spirits that had made them so appealing. Regardless, he reached into the basket tied to the beasts back, and pulled out a bottle. He uncorked it, paused a second to pour some of the orange spirits onto the ground. At least this world got one thing right, he thought. Most of the cosmere was so dry, so dreary and dull and boring. These colours - from what he had seen, this entire region- was every bit as colorful as proper, Rosharan wine. Respects paid, the wandering prince pressed the bottle to his lips, and took a swig until it was drained, right down to the very - last - drop. He couldn't quite ignore the chull's expression - was that curiosity in it's dull eyes? Unlikely; chull had never struck him as a particularly intelligent species. Still, it was dutiful, quiet and didn't complain. Those were traits that were valuable regardless of age, gender or species, and one's the man particularly admired. "Nalthis," he said again. "That was where the old Endowment came from. I heard she ran away. I heard she was some would-be assassin with a bow and arrow." The chull clicked with, the man assumed, agreement. "Yes, I'm also sure she was quite pretty. And now her bones are lying to rot somewhere in the Cosmere. Why don't we see if we can do better?" ((Quick post to establish a character at least... no voting though, sicne... I got nothing to go off of)

Why do you want SoarinDash when the episode practically confirms RariDash? ...But, I'd say check out the Wonderverse. I haven't gotten around to reading that 'verse yet, but SoarinDash is the main ship in that series, so... Also, finally saw Newbie Dash, as well as the Trixie episode. I am happy.

I'm not sure if you are encouraging me or not. But I have been eying the Nights Watch ASIoF expansion though, for completions sake.

Ah, what the heck. An excuse to write for a bit is always appreciated. I'll figure out a character and get back to you. I'm considering a Rosharsan "dudebro" highprince.

What does also having L5R, Shadowrun and two massive Pathfinder modules make me then...? Help.
