  1. I read mostly mainstream comics, so I can't think of many that you probably don't already know. One that might be worth a look, stolen from Twy. Check the Umbrella Academy; more than just powers, the wholesome is interestingly off-center. Besides that, I'd recommend this column.column
  2. I...have thoughts on the later seasons. Which I will save since, doesn't sound like you've finished yet. Side note, open Question to everyone: can someone recommend some good romance? Novels or fanfiction, I don't care which.
  3. No to both of those, I'm afraid. Though I saw enough clips to recognise Dave. I like Haven, but man, it could be a bad show sometimes.
  4. @Delightful So, there's a show I like, called Haven. Kind of, supernatural procedural. One episode involved a Golem. ...except, for some reason, the savy roguish character? Upon hearing they were chasing a Golem? "A Gollum? Like Lord of the Rings?"
  5. If I go with Rowlet, I'm thinking 'Owliver Queen'
  6. Preemptive bad day warning. Couldn't sleep last night. I'm about to start a 12 hour shift, with a coworker I dislike, on two hours of rest. The fact I already have a headache, and I'll be dealing with alarms all day, is just the icing on the cake at this point...
  7. Honestly, I had zero interest in the Suicide Squad film. Even the "Good" trailers weren't that great for me, so I had no expectations... But yeah, overall, I'd say it was okay. I might go see it again. It's not a great movie by any stretch of the imagination, and it has problems, but I liked it fine.
  8. I think I slowed down that one. Sorry...
  9. ...Huh. You know, a while back, I was planning on doing a series in the vein of Race for the Iron Throne, where I played some of apokemon game, typed it up as an account on a blog, then used it as a springboard to talk about... something. Worldbuilding, or history, or whatever. This line... kind of makes me wonder why the worldbuilding and history of the pokemon universe is like. Electric pokemon, presumably, have always existed, so did humans use those to power things? Did electricity come about because of studying Magnemites, and making Pikachu's run in mazes to find electric cheese?
  10. Hey, don't bring me into this! Even if I am getting oddly attached to my version of the bad timeline...
  11. ...yikes. So much math. Does that all lead to competitive pokemon teams which are rather "same-ish"? I ask since, it sounds like there is a meta behind the games which would let you figure out an optimised team, moves and stats.
  12. Honestly, if you don't object, I'd love to hear explanations! Also... I'm curious about these Alola Island trials. I've heard someone compare them to the Orange Islands, which... I have fond memories of that arc. And am trying to learn the rules to PTU solely so I could play a game in that league. So Alola has me excited.
  13. Alola Exeggutor is epic, and if you say otherwise, I'll train one up and fight you! ...no seriously, I'm debating whether to try play this game competitively. Intend to just focus on beating the game, so competitive battling, breeding and IV training isn't my thing... I'm not even sure how most of that works. So...debating giving it a go this time.
  14. Never apologize for this kind of thought. Getting stuff off your chest is always betetr than bottling it up, especially if it's worrying you. (For the record, if you ever want to "vent" and don't want to do it on open forums, my PM box is always open) As for your family... To chime in with everyone else, I don't know anything about your family, so hopefully they aren't having a bad reaction to this. If they are, then... you have my sympathies, and I hope everything is okay.
  15. Would it surprise you to know that the second I saw this guy I thought of this guy? ...I mean, I want to say that that similarity won't be enough of a reason for me to train up a Mudsdale, but no promises.
  16. YES THIS IS MY PROBLEM I like the water starters for games. You tend to use Surf a lot, and it's a damnation useful HM to have, so attaching it to your water starter is killing two birds with one stone... plus, I rather like Popplip, so I was gonna support the game in the face of overwhelming adversity. #clownseal ...Btu damnation, Rowlett's evoltion is rather Green Arrow-y, and, you know, that might be a deal breaker for me. Because of reasons. It might come as a shock to you guys, but I'm a Green Arrow fan. Dunno if that's ever come up in conversation before.
  17. Because who needs brevity in topic titles, right? ...Anyway, so I was looking for stuff online, and I found this: And this and it occured to me that this might be kind of a fun game to play. So. Pick someone; a character that you really like from something. If that character was a pokemon trainer, what six-member pokemon team do you think they would use, and why?
  18. So, I caught a Paras. Out of curiosity, I checked Paras and Parasect's pokedex entry and sweet harmony, kill them with fire. Also, I'm still looking for a ponyta.
  19. You know, if a multivariate means everything is possible, everyone is a serial killer in some universe. Also, can someone help a poor nerd out? 'kay, so. There's a comic company, IDW. They tend to make books based off of Licensed Prepertoires mostly -they currently publish Ghostbusters, Star Trek and MLP comics, for instance. Anyway, in September, they are launching a comic book event, called Revolution. The premise is that it's going to reveal that a number of Hasbro products they have the licenses to exist in the same universe. Now, I've been (slowly) making my way through the IDW Transformers books for a while. And, while my emery is vague, I know enough about Action Man to have a sense of how that franchise works... But I know nothing about the others, hence why I'm asking; any fans willing to give me a crash course in G.I Joe, MASK, Micronauts and/or Rom, Space Knight.
  20. Maybe we need to look at this election in a different way. If Donald Trump is elected, maybe it'll be The Push everyone else needs to get our stuff together, and finally get space programs to the point where terraforming other worlds is possible. Let Trump blow his countries budget on a wall whose size is matched only by his ego. The rest of us can start migrating to space!
  21. ... wow. I can't believe we, as a species, have actually reached a point where Second Impact would be desirable, but here we are. At least Gendo Ikari has a pretty consistent platform which can be critiqued. (I mean, it's an awful ideas platform, but at least he's a fairly equal opportunity abuser. I don't think it matters if youre an illegal immigrant or not; so long as you he can strap you into a giant robot, you're getting in the giant robot.)
  22. Considering how much hullaballoo Trump threw up about Obama's birth certificate, I am 110% convinced that if Hilary wins? Her entire presidency will involve him yelling about how the whole thing was rigged, and how she should be diqualified and... As soon as you give Donald Trump an inch of legitimacy, he's never going to let it go.
  23. hey, want a good series to watch, you should watch Revolutionary Girl Utena I finished it last week, and my mind if still blown. So much good.
  24. Well, hey. Could be worse. Hurry could be drinking the blood of Hufflepuff students. And from what I've heard, that Doom Patrol run is insane.it involves a painting that eats Paris, and a sentient transgender Street becoming a member of a superhero team. In case my ramblings hadn't implied it, let me be blunt: Grant Morrison might actually beinsane. All his ideas sound like he's dropping acid. Even the ones he didn't come up with while on drugs.
