Kaymyth lies. It's weaponised sound. Once youhear that theme song, it'll rattle around in your head forever. It is one of the most insidious, and awesome, weapons at Disney's disposal.

What's your favorite.... ? (Forum game)

Helium. You can laugh at it's silly voice, but it doesn't care. It's a loner, a rebel without a cause. Favorite mineral? -
Can anyone prescribe insomnia cures? This is the third day where I've managed to get less than six hours sleep. I keep waking up around one or two o'clock, and can't get ask to sleep. With work days, that's...exhausting.

So wait... if there's a Pony!Christmas, wouldn't that imply that some 2000 years before this, Pony!Jesus was born to the Pony!Virgin Mary and a carpenter?

No. Hearth's Warming Day has a very different mythology behind it. It celebrates the day when Pegasi, Unicorns, and Earth ponies set aside their differences and began truly working together as friends.

Saw it last night, full thoughts later. Quickly; it's probably not as good as The Force Awakens, but it's more ambitious, more interesting, and I like it more. Also: Leia being there is odd, but I'll second @Deliiiiiightful because...look at what happened. Vader saw that ship pullaway from him. Like, literally right from under him. So he knows they aren't a diplomatic vessel. And Leia and everyone else on-board just keep trying go tell him"Nah man, we're diplomats! You saw us at a battle? No way, must have bee seeing things dude." They know he doesn't buy it for a second, and they stick to it anyway. The idea of Leia being so obstructive to the Dark Lord of the Sith "Just 'cause" is awesome and in-character.

Having a Bad Day?: Get 'yer Hugs here!!

I have a sore throat. Yes, in the grand -or even small- scale of things, that's no big deal...but my job is a good 80-90% answering phone calls. I don't want to have to call in sick. But I have a doctor appointment tomorrow. Kind of terrified I might end up giving work last minute notice. Last time I had a sore throat at work, I just trying working through it...to the effect that I spent two days barely able to talk and aching whenever I did. But we're short staffed right now and only JUST got a holiday rota set, and I don't want to be the one to break it... -

This is all of my feelings in one post. Everyone I've spoken to in PM's knows how annoyed I've been with my own lack of focus and activity. It's not the same, but I'd say you can take pride in your Oregon and RP posts at least. Other than that... Again, sympathies since, us exactly how I'm feeling. -
Liking Vin was a good start. The bolded part was even better. So, I second Skaa's question: Who is Best Girl?

I know I should just be grateful. That the job markets really bad right now. That my job is decent wage. But... That meeting I was at, they said that what they were looking for were people who want to make security their full-time career. I don't. But I have no other experience, no funds, no transport. I feel like I've backed myself into a corner with life. -
..Okay, terrible, terrible Dalles post, but I figured it was overdue enough that I just needed to get it posted already But also, I try to write more or less... in-character? And Lyla's reaction is based upon repression, so having her inner monologue and meandering thoughts more or less shut down and focus intently on that one thing made more sense? But... yeah, very weak post. Hopefully will be better later?

A puppy wasn't exactly the kind of gift Lyla would want from an epic, but it was still a gift from an epic, and a gift from Shiny. That was still amazing. But something about what Shiny said nagged at the girl, something that put a dampener on the enthusiasm she should have been feeling. "Visit?" She looked up at Shiny. Her brow and lips creased into a confused frown. "Your next visit? You're visiting?"

I saw the first episode of that at an anime club a few years ago. I take it the rest of the series is good and well worth a watch? I'd say I need to watch more anime, but that's a lie. I have a huge list I need to watch, the problem is finding the time to do so. (Actually, only anime I've made it a point to watch weekly these days is Dragonball Super, which I'm enjoying.)

I had a dream about buying a copy of Suicide Squad season 2. ...Yeah, season 2. As in, in my dream, the Suicide Squad was a TV series. In fact, it was a really good TV series, which was completely unlike anything else out there, had a lot of critical acclaim. Despite season 1's plot being basically a rehash of that terrible movie. (Season 2, I believe, was being set up to take place at Arkham.) I don't even know what is going on.

I... do not quite have plans yet. Or rather, have a few ideas, and I'm not sure which to pursue. (I'm going to ramble. Sorry. Its how I spin ideas). I guess, what I'm kind of interested in is the idea how... Remington Springfield killing Koschei is like a moment out of folklore. It's the kind of galvanising moment that changes lives, and I'm trying to figure out an interesting how for how to use that. An old idea I tinkered with way back when was the idea of a villain vanilla; a member of the Guard who kind of had the attitude of... Almost like a proto-Reckoner. Someone who studies epics, to find their weakness, then kills them because that's what the Springfields would want. Epics are rabid dogs, so you put them down. It's just that this attitude is being expressed in the one place where epics are being co-operative. Any other place or time, they'd be a hero. Here and now, they're exacerbating a situation.

Huzzah, new thread! ...might be a good time t mention this then. I'm kind of considering maybe making a new character for the Dalles? Just kind of occurred to me that, despite the Guard being a big part of the Dalles character and set-up...we don't really have any vanilla guardsmen PoV's.

This is...pre-emptive. Maybe unnecessary? Dunno. But I have a meeting with the bosses at my work tomorrow. There has been some... Bad blood, let's say, brewing amongst the work staff towards the office staff. So I suspect that might have something to do with it. Still nerves. -
Best Anime I'd never seen before 2016: Revolutionary Girl Utena.

I like the new human notes thread. Then again, I'm biased towards Vanilla.

Kaymyth Shub-Niggurath confirmed? (For those unfamiliar with Lovecraft lore, Shub-Niggurath is an eldritch God also known as "The Black Goat of the Woods with a Thousand Young," so...Eldritch godmom, kind of. )

You have no idea how wrong you are. Plus side is... I am getting to the point where I could hand in my two week notice and take every day as a paid holiday. That'll show them for giving me so many shifts! -

Eh. It's 45 hours... but double pay on two of them, which is how I get about 70. Still not great.
