    I dig it. All of Shallans mentions of Strata in Kharbranth and Urithiru were already rolling around my head. I was just wondering if there were any new WoB’s about it.

    @The Night Watcher if Jasnah and Kaladin spend any time in close proximity, this will happen. They are both far too intelligent to not collaborate on All Things Roshar. Two of the most intelligent people we have seen on-screen and they both have incredible positions of influence and power. I need to see how this comes together.

    @Calderis nails it again. When Syl (or any other Nahel Spren) crosses into the Physical Realm, they lose the majority of themselves. By Bonding someone, they establish a connection that allows them to Remember. There are a few conversations between Syl and Kaladin and at least one between Shallan and Pattern that address this.

    I am admittedly terrible at search functions. Google is my Nemesis, always. That said, I remember seeing a map that Mr. Sanderson wrote ‘Great Magic Unleashed Here’ on someones copy of WoK. Have we figured out what that was yet? I am stuck on either: 1: The Splintering of Honour. or (My favourite) 2: the Shattering of Adonalsium Hoid was present at the Shattering and seems to spend an inordinate amount of time on Roshar. As massive as the Shattered Plains are (and ‘Shattered’ just sounds... well..) How much energy would it take to cause that level of destruction?

    I am going to walk all the way to the end of my stick and say that Renarin, not Dalinar (as much as I like him,) eventually Ascends and combines Cultivation, Odium and whatever remnants of Honor can be reconstituted to become a MetaShard. A La Sazed and Harmony. Perhaps ‘Unity’ fits for that combination, but I think there is a better name cooking in an outline floating around somewhere in Mr. Sanderson’s study.

    Yay for Necro’d Threads!!! Order is difficult, but my top 4 are: 1:Harmony (Sazed) Hoid Szeth+Nightblood 4: Odium 2/3 are the difficult ones. Hoid has said specifically that he would ‘Let the whole world burn’ if it served his ends. This implies, to me, that he has the ability to act on a global scale to affect events. Nightblood has Szeth’s Moral/Honour code to keep it check... However twisted it migh be, it does work. But, Damnation, is Nightblood disgustingly powerful? If you combine that with Szeth’s skill and prowess... Awesomeness. Pure and simple.

    I am terrible at the search function... But, the fact that Lift gets sick when Szeth cracks Nightblood from his sheath is Key. Nightblood Lithmus Test may get you to some discussion on this.

    I am happy to see that I am not the only one who felt the ‘Asexual’ vibe from Jasnah. Seriously. As far as Jasnah and Kaladin’s compatibility otherwise, I think they will work very well together once Kaladin grows up a bit more. Kaladin has already been shown as an exceptionally intelligent person, and Jasnah respects that above almost everyhing else. I also think their personalities will play well off of each other. Kaladin being Firebrand passionate and Jasnah being carefully controlled emotion. I think that dynamic will be fun to see.

    @MistLord I don’t think that Friction would necessarily generate heat of that magnitude. RL correlate being Geckos. They are able to cling to a sheet of glass using friction without generating any heat at all. A Late Night Science Channel or Animal Planet show being my source. Friction+Motion creates heat, but Friction as a stand-alone seems like it would function appropriately.

    I got a serious Asexual impression from everything we have seen of Jasnah. Juat my opinion, though, and her sexuality is irrelevant to me either way. I like Jasnah, Very much. Her cold calculating manner seems like a defensive mechanism to me. In a couple of Shallan PoV’s, we see Jasnah with the mask at least partially off, so we know that she does have feelings and emotions. She just processes them differently and privately. And her OP Soulcasteryness, she has SIX YEARS of experience Surgebinding on everyone except possibly Szeth. He obviously had some serious go rounds training with the Honorblade. That extra time to explore her abilities is worth a boatload.

    I really don’t think we have enough information on what all of the Orders ‘Jobs’ are, though. It is entirely possible that the Windrunners are simply the most visible order anyway. The certainly seem to be the most prolific.

    @Heir of the Void Let me reiterate, I am a proponent of Lesser Spren = Shardplate. But I am having a bit of trouble with why Plate hung out for millennia. Shardblades have been adequately explained. My question is what would have kept the lesser spren bound to plate form without their Radiant to focus them... Mildly curious situation.
