Sart had blood on his hands. He was just like the rest, killing those who had not harmed them. The "artist," if he could call himself that, was getting depressed. Morbid thoughts swirled through his head. "Crying blood, we kill. We bleed, crying." He tried to sleep, but couldn't. He saw the shadows of beasts dancing in the dark, and feared for his life. The moon, if there even was one, was obscured by ominous clouds. He feared for his life. Sart needed to do something, but what? He felt powerless. He crawled in bed and waited for death to come to the Inn once more.
-
Sart couldn't believe it. First, Aili had revealed herself as an Idrian Returned. Second, Lifeless had been summoned at a peace negotiation. Third, and most importantly, those Lifeless had killed Jeo, who was apparently a Pahn Kahl trying to sabotage the meeting. If only he had voted for Jeo, maybe Dyril would still be alive. He needed to speak up. "Grim, I've been suspicious of you since day one. I'm not sure if you're guilty or if you're just incompetent, but I think you're a danger to us all. You've sided with Jeo too many times in these riots, so I have to vote for you. I'm sorry if you're innocent, but I have to do this." Sart sighed, and tried to lighten the mood. "Now then, these rabbits are getting ridiculous. I say we gather some of them up and make some rabbit stew. Who's with me?"
-
Sart was shocked. The calm restaurant was quickly turning into a madhouse. He had to speak up. "I don't think Chide is guilty of anything. I don't even blame him for not wanting to be in your presence. I am surrounded by murderers who are conspiring to kill yet again!" "Jeo, you have some serious explaining to do. Why are you trying to kill those that cower from you? It's suspicious, to say the least. I don't want to harm you yet, but I am watching you." "And Wil'son, I haven't seen any reason why you should be considered more trustworthy than the rest of these animals. Still, I see no reason to kill you." "Unless someone gives me a solid reason why someone should die, I say we don't kill today. Honestly, you should all be ashamed of yourselves." OOC: I haven't seen enough good reasons to kill anyone. I know we have to kill eventually in this game, but let's wait one more turn before we do.

OOC: Sorry for not posting on Day 2. My school's web filter was having issues with classifying websites it hadn't visited yet. That meant I could go to 17th shard, but I wasn't able to link to the Day 2 thread. To add to my distraction, the Smash brothers Nintendo Direct was displayed, and then my final project came due. Now that it's the weekend, I should be able to RP more. Speaking of which... "Ugh... How much did I drink?" Sart opened the window to a blistering cold night. "What? Did I really sleep the day away? Well, I suppose I should find out what's happened." As he went out into the night, he noticed blood staining the street. "Those bastards must have killed someone else! Wait a second..." He slowly realized that there were not one, but two different blood spatters. "Has this whole town gone crazy?! Colors, this was supposed to be a peace talk, not a warzone." He wanted to get a drink, but he didn't want to waste another day lying in his room. This chaos called for action, but he still didn't know who had died. It was time to get some answers, and he knew just the person to ask.

Sart wasn't sure what to do. All he could think about was the dead ambassador lying on the ground. He certainly didn't want to paint that! The man sighed and sat down on one of the stools in the Green Potato. He needed a drink.

Yes, I am signing up for the game. Sorry if I wasn't clear enough. "Throughout my life I've seen some truly beautiful things. Whenever I try to describe them, it never comes out right and sounds wrong. That's why I'm trying to learn how to paint, so I can take the things I have seen and let the whole world see them. I suppose I could just hire someone else to do it, but they wouldn't capture the essence of the scene. Of course, I'm not doing a good job of that either, but I hope I'll get better soon." "But enough about me. I think I saw some boar go into your kitchen. Could you fix me some? I'm starving."

First time RPing, please be kind. Sart was getting frustrated. This was supposed to be a beautiful picture of a woodland duck; however, it had turned into a brown blob of blah. He scowled and ripped the page to shreds. He wanted to put his thoughts on the page, but they never came out right. He sighed, and continued drawing long into the night. Note: I am a terrible artist, so I doubt my character will want to share any of his "art."

I think that quote refers to Amaram, since she didn't think she would cry for him. I would expect to cry for a member of Bridge Four. However, I don't think anyone is safe, since she mentioned dying several times!

I think some of these could be used for a hilarious game of Mad Libs.

Sell. I think he will try, but then the Parshendi release stormform, and everything goes to hell. There will be a Shin viewpoint (besides Szeth) in Words of Radiance.

Falcon1823 said: While I'm not completely sold on this line of reasoning, it is a strike against Eshonai. These teases are driving me crazy! Edit: What about Navani? She had a small viewpoint section, and she has been around war. The leaves are a bit of a mystery though.

Buy. It seems poetic that all of the original five will be dead when the book ends. A member of Shallan's family (besides Shallan) gets a view point chapter in Words of Radiance.
-
Probably nothing, but I think we might get some cool viewpoints during the end. I'm thinking that is where we will see Szeth's viewpoint show up again. EDIT: I thought you said at not that. Anyway, she says that there are named chapters for the fifth part, then chapters named Climax, which are possibly from different viewpoints in the same chapter or from new viewpoints entirely. Then we have the Endings which might have different viewpoints like Interludes. Finally, we have the epilogue, which is probably Hoid being awesome.
-
Hmmm... Apparently Part Five has additional view point characters. Interesting...

Arg... Late by three minutes. Can a mod close this thread?

http://www.tor.com/blogs/2014/02/beta-reading-words-of-radiance This was just posted on Tor.com about the process of reading Words of Radiance in beta and gamma reads. It doesn't tell us anything new, except that there are... in part five. So what do you think of this review? It's a cool look at the process of beta reading, so I suggest taking a look.

Glad to have you! I'm not one of the bigger contributors here, but I still chime in with a theory every once in a while. If you think you've got a cool idea, just post it to the forums, and see if anyone agrees. I hope to see more of you.

I'm betting that Carl just publishes his spoiler-free reactions to the book, and the commenters are allowed to ask questions, which he will then respond to in vague terms. That would still be fun though.

Did anyone else just realize that Elithanathile is a palindrome in the Alethi language? Since they consider keteks holy, it makes sense that their god's holy name would be read the same forwards and backwards.

I deleted my wild speculation on why traveling to Sel was difficult. The WoB about excess power causing craziness in their Cognitive Realm makes a lot more sense, and somewhat explains why traveling in Shadesmar (of Roshar) has been more dangerous recently (since Honor is dead, and Cultivation is under siege by Odium). Still, I think the first part of my theory stands. We'll probably have to ask Brandon to settle this debate.
-
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that the Expanse of the Densities corresponds to Sel, not Roshar. My theory is that the different magic systems are caused by population density, which explains the name of the expanse, and also how all of these different magic systems formed from two shards (Devotion and Dominion both deal with the formation of cities and nations). In regards to the other expanses, the Expanse of Vibrance makes sense for Nalthis (The magic deals primarily with colors and sound, so the name fits). Scadrial makes the most sense for the Expanse of the Vapors because of the mists, but that one is shaky. I have no clue on the Expanse of the Broken Sky, so it might be for a book that isn't out yet.

Erm... They released chapters 3-5, not 3-6. Anyway, I had better start reading!

Wild speculation: Death Rattles are Messages from Spren
Sart replied to hoser's topic in Stormlight Archive
Or that could be the sailor yelling at the spren giving him a message. Furthermore, we already know of the existence of death spren, who could be the ones giving the messages. This theory is interesting, but as of right now, there isn't any way to prove or disprove it.- 16 replies

It looks like you forgot the R in your solution, giving us I..G...D...G...R...A...K I can form that into... DARK GIG (gig being a type of spear) or... GAG DIRK (dirk being a large dagger/small sword) If we scramble nonsense to noneness (it's not a real word, but it sounds cool), we have ... noneness shardblade: gag glyph dirk (shardblades silence people?) or... noneness shardblade: dark glyph gig (a dark shardblade of some sort?) I'm not sure what this all means, and I'm probably wrong, but it still is a cool translation.

A Long Way From Chicago, by Richard Peck, is a short YA book, good for short drives. I don't know his name, but the narrator makes the audio book hilarious. Definitely worth a listen.
