  1. I'm still not sure about this, but we need a solid target. While I admit the logic isn't that great, I will switch my vote from Sprenil to Humperdink. Let's see if we can actually kill a Ghostblood for once.
  2. Hmmm... That is convincing evidence. I wasn't sure when you guys had scanned him, but if he didn't have items two days ago, that means he is probably clean. While you're here, can you explain this part of your arguments? I don't think I've been pain-knifed. Is there a message that is sent out about it?
  3. There's only one thing to do; let's make a list: Awes: Tion, Wurum, Lucal (1) Tion: Wurum, Jim Bob Dirt, Khas (2) Sprenil: Cara (1) Cara: Humperdink (1) Humperdink: Wurum (1) No vote: Macen This isn't good guys. We're spread out on our votes, which means that reversers can influence it. Even worse, the one Ghostblood we know of is protected by Shardplate, which means that we can't kill him today. We now know that Awes had the evil reverser from day one. The GBs also have a 50% chance of having one from Pailan's death. We need a two vote difference at minimum, and preferably a three vote difference. I'm thinking about voting for Tion, but if your information is correct, Macen, then that won't help us either. Out of the candidates that actually have votes, I think I'm going to vote for Sprenil. I'm guessing that, due to the number of items, everyone started out with one, or they had some sort of role. If that is the case, then the most likely role for Sprenil is Ghostblood. It's not the best argument, but it's the only one that makes sense to me.
  4. That was on purpose, since it does not take the place of a night action. I thought about including it, but decided against it for clarity of rules, even though it is technically Rithmatics.
  5. Sorry if that wasn't clear enough. Lines of Warding only work for one night, so the chalklings get more dangerous as the game goes on. However, I can see your point about them getting too strong late game. What if the max power of the chalklings was equal to the number of Forgotten? So, if the game starts with twenty people, and four are Forgotten, the chalklings power would be from 0 to 4. That would make them really weak at the beginning (as they should be, since the characters are part of the military), but as the game progresses, they start to get more dangerous. However, they won't get out of hand if people start killing bad guys. Would that work better?
  6. I've been thinking about making a Rithmatist Elimination game. We've got the perfect antagonist with the Forgotten (the chalklings who possess people) However, I've never run one of these before, so I have no idea if it would be balanced. Here's what I'm thinking: That's all I've got so far. Let me know if you think it is balanced or not.
  7. Well, I don't like the train that's going on here. I'm worried that he isn't innocent. At this point, my best guess is Jost, since he conveniently argued against Grelin once Sprenil mentioned that no one else was. That means I retract my vote from Macen. I'll change your vote to him too, so you know I'm telling the truth about my reverser. I got it at the beginning of the game, so I can't back up my story. I know I'm not GB, but if you decide to kill me now that you know that, I guess I'm okay with it.
  8. I admit, my theory was tenuous at best, but I needed to get discussion going. While I still suspect some of the high-level players, I also agree that they can't all be evil. Therefore, I will remove my vote from Tion. With my theory, I also mentioned that I suspected Grelin. However, I really don't like to vote for players when they say they will be inactive. Also, Sprenil brought up the point that there hasn't been any objections, so there are probably Ghostbloods voting for him. This could mean a few things: Grelin isn't a Ghostblood, and the GBs will win with today's vote. Grelin is a GB, and some GBs are voting for him to disguise themselves Unfortunately, Option 2 isn't very likely. At this point in the game, the Ghostbloods would not want to sacrifice one of their own. They're so close to victory, they probably can't help wanting to finish this game up. So, I don't know who to vote for, but for right now I'm going to assume that Grelin is innocent. If that's the case, then there's only one person I can vote for. Macen He claims to be a leader, but he did a good job of staying off my suspicion list. He jumped on the bandwagon against Grelin. More importantly, he claims to have access to a Reverser, and that he encouraged that person to lynch Aodan. On the one hand, that might have been Grelin proving it to Macen, which would bring us back to square one. Furthermore, he encouraged us to share what items we had. I shared that I had a reverser, which was probably a bad idea. I know I'm not GB, so tonight, they can easily kill me and control the votes even more. This game is not looking good for us. If I've made a mistake, and Grelin is a GB, then we have a plan of attack. That would also prove that my original theory had some merit. Also, that would draw heavy suspicion on Jost, for being a token defender of Grelin. At this point, I hope I'm right, but I'm pretty sure we're going to lose this one. And I hate losing.
  9. Joining as Sarams. The GBs are dominating Game 5, so that might end before this even starts. Seriously though, this has enough complicated rules, can't we just call it Game 6?
  10. So... What do you guys think of my theory? I'm worried that it might be too paranoid, but I know it has some merit. My only concern are the votes for Jim Bob Dirt. I can't figure out a motive for them. At this point, I'm wondering if we had the Emotion Bracelet detect him. That would explain why votes keep coming up for him, but that wouldn't explain why Claincy targeted Jain instead of Adolin. If we have confirmed shenanigans, have someone inform the main thread. At this point, we need a confirmed kill. Holding back information is hurting us right now. So, why are we targeting Jim?
  11. What if they are both GB? I didn't really suspect Tion until you told me that key piece of information. Now I think Grelin, Tion, and Jost are all Ghostbloods. Of course, that means that all of our spanreed holders are evil, so we have to be discussing things publicly. Here's what I think happened. Early on in Day One, Jost, knowing that Grelin had started with a spanreed, suggested the plan of having each conversation include exactly two people. The GBs encouraged us to be open in PMs, since there was a "third party." However, it was only an illusion. Each GB PM included two GBs and one regular player. They conned the regular player in the message, found out what items he had, and then killed whoever had the best ones. They controlled the communication, and thus killed us. As to why I now suspect Tion. He sent me a lovely PM with Jost as the "third party." This means that Tion had the same partner for at least 3 separate messages (Mine, Claincy's, and Macen's) That makes no sense if they were on our side, because they should've had different partners to hopefully keep one message secure. Therefore, I'm voting for Tion. He already has one vote, so he's my best chance to kill one of them. Also, I was the one who switched Tion's vote to Jim Bob Dirt. I started the game out with the Reverser, although that was my first time using it. I don't suspect Jim Bob Dirt, mostly because the votes against him make no sense. Grelin was the first one to bring up not voting, yet Jost conveniently forgot about that. They've kept up this campaign against him because he isn't voting, although there are 3 other mostly inactive players that they aren't targeting. It's now or never. If Tion isn't guilty, I apologize, we're all dead.
  12. Well, it looks like we got unlucky. I think the most likely scenario is that the GBs switched Alv's voted to get Falalen killed. Two nobles believed the musician, and tried to save him. One pain knifed Tion, while the other used a reverser on him to make him vote for Jim Bob Dirt. If they hadn't used their items on the same person, Falalen would still be alive, since the result would have been a tie. I haven't taken statistics, but I think that was a 1/4 chance. This just demonstrates the need for cooperation, so please get in PMs and discuss your plans.
  13. Saritu surveyed the chaos in the camps. The unofficial challenge created a dilemma; the merchant didn't think either of them were guilty. However, he noticed Jim Bob Dirt on the outskirts of the crowd remaining suspiciously quiet. The short man shouted above the crowd, "You apologized for not voting on day one, saying we didn't have any information. It's day three now, and you still haven't voted. Are you trying to fly under the radar? Jain, though he may be dangerous, doesn't pose a threat right now. You, on the other hand, endanger us by not voting. My vote is for you." Also, I'm not in any PMs. Someone get me in the loop.
  14. Jain. I don't really suspect you, but we need to have a sizable majority so the GBs don't choose for us. There's a 50% chance that they have two reversers, and since we have a lot of votes spread out right now, they could choose to lynch someone. That is extremely dangerous, and if we go down that road, we will lose. I'm open to suggestions, but voting someone who we choose is our best idea at this point. Also, Jain, make sure you have an heir.
  15. Sorry I haven't been active, I'm too busy graduating high-school. Yay me!
  16. Liar, liar, pants on fire. I understand that real life gets in the way, but I want more reactions please. I kind of want to make a fan site with a picture of the clock from Pacific Rim, but instead of Kaiju attacks, it measures when Feather reacts.
  17. Saritu stared at the crazed party. On the one hand, he was probably going to make a lot of money the next couple of days. On the other hand, he worried that there would be nowhere left to spend it when the dust settled. Storms, he had to do something. If he voted for Jim Bob Dirt, the vote would be tied, barring any unforeseen circumstances. If he voted for Tors, the ardent was probably doomed. However, he could also vote for no one, and leave the decision up to chance. He sipped a lovely green wine. He sighed, and remained silent. I'm not accusing anyone yet. Let's wait to see the first actions of the Ghostbloods, and start basing our actions off of that, along with voting.
  18. The king was dead. Saritu had to admit that he was surprised by this turn of events. He hadn't stocked up on the harder wines, and the chaos that was bound to follow from this would cause lots of nobles to turn to the bottle. Still, he had to capitalize on this opportunity. "A toast! A toast to the dead king!"
  19. What the heck, I'll join. I'm... Dang it, I'm having a difficult time figuring out a character name. Okay, let's use the other account name. I'm Saritu, a wine merchant from House Kholin. I am the one who orders all the different shades of wine for our distinguished guests. Heck, I've even had a few rounds with the Blackthorn himself. Gentleman, who wants a drink? Hopefully the GM doesn't kill me this time..
  20. ...I thought there would be a schedule... It's alright if you're busy, I just want to know when we can expect the next episode.
  21. It's okay. Performing in concerts can be exhausting (I play flute) so I can see where you're coming from. Now I just need to make a good RP... Yesterday: It was his last chance to make something beautiful. Sart scrambled about his room furiously carving on the floor. Colors, he needed the fourth heightening; that would make this so much easier. He scrambled through his belongings, looking for some additional breath. He noticed a gift from his drinking buddy, Chekov Laincy. He didn't know how the toy had gotten into his belongings for the trip. However, he noticed it had a breath invested in it. While that was useful, he still didn't have color recognition. He furiously scribbled on the floor, enlarging the glyph. As he moved away stray bits of paper, he found his straw-man lying inactive. He took the breaths from it, and set about completing his masterpiece. Just as he finished writing justice, Bart barged into his room. Sart tried to flee, but it was to no avail. The scholar stabbed him right in the chest, and Sart passed out. Now: Sart groaned miserably. He expected heaven to smell better. He opened his eyes, and realized that he was in an alleyway with some other dead bodies. He groaned; the pain in his chest was nearly unbearable. Hang on, he was still alive somehow. He felt like jumping for joy, but he was hurt too badly for that. He must have gotten to the fifth heightening by mistake, and in doing so he saved his own life. Those idiots didn't even check for a pulse! Still, he was going to die if he didn't do something soon. He set about making a tourniquet for his wound using some discarded cloth. He hoped someone would find him, and soon. He had figured out who the killer was, but could do nothing about it. He sighed and drifted off into unconsciousness once more. One more PK to go, I hope you guys find them soon, so I can start role-playing again.
  22. If I manage to survive, I'd like to keep using the straw man if possible. Of course, now the PK know I have a straw man, so if I survive today, they'll probably kill me tonight. On the other hand, someone might protect me, but that's unlikely right now. Ah well, it was a good game.
  23. Quick Question to Claincy: If I give up my breath, does the stuff that I've invested go as well? That's kind of important to me right now. Sart paled. People were accusing him of being PK, and it looked like he was to be killed. He needed to tell them the truth. "Frankly put, I am a wealthy man. How else could I afford to have endless sheets of paper? I inherited my wealth, and 5 breaths, from my deceased father. I was always a disappointment to him, always trying to make myself something I wasn't. I came to this meeting to see if I had a talent for state-craft, since most other options have failed me. Apparently, I did poorly at that too. " "I made an awakened rope my first night here, but I never had a chance to use it. I told my role to two people only: Aodan and Thomas. Following Aodan's suggestion, I spied on people with my remaining breath. Eventually, I realized that the rope was useless, and that I could get a lifeless for the same amount of breath. 2 nights ago, I tried to get the 2 breaths back, but I couldn't find the rope! (Actually, I sent my night action in one hour too late for it to count, which sucked) I spent the next day looking for it, since no one appeared to be in any danger of dying. Unfortunately, Aodan had forgotten that Thomas had known about my role, and voted for him. (You can ask him about that) Dainard and the librarian joined in, and Thomas was executed." "I was devastated. I knew Aodan wasn't guilty since he was a priest, and Alan was clean since he had been attacked the night before. Therefore, I accused the stable boy for joining in on a late vote. That was a mistake. While I still think he may be guilty, apparently you trusted him, and thus turned against me. (Seriously, why is that? The only evidence I've found that he is innocent is that Jeo voted for him, but that was quickly retracted. If he doesn't have a secret role, I still suspect him.) Last night, I finally found the rope, and gained two breaths to use, hopefully for a lifeless." "I know this will probably be too late to change people's minds, but I must give my fortune away before it is too late. Aili, my breath to yours, my life become yours. I do this for two reasons. One, we have already killed three Idrian PK, so they are mostly in the clear. Secondly, and more importantly, my breath (if the one's in the straw man go to her) will give her the tenth heightening, thus proving what I say is true. I am sorry I could not have been of much help, and I wish you all the best of luck." Sart sat down, "Even in this noble effort, I failed to make a masterpiece."
  24. "Well," thought Sart as he walked to his room, "that was a good day." No one had any real suspicions, but at least they knew some suspects to think about. "Cen and Ver... Have they just been hiding, or are they hiding something?" he pondered as he watched the sunset. That would be an interesting painting. The red and orange in the sky looked like blood, bleeding into the horizon. Suddenly, he heard Thomas crying out. "What? No! I said investigate me! Not kill me! I'm innocent!" They were killing the wanderer. He couldn't be Pahn Kahl, could he? Thomas was the one person that Sart actually trusted in this madhouse! He wasn't sure of anything at this point, but still, the man had done nothing suspicious. He had to stop this. "Stop!" he screamed, racing out of his room. "He's innocent!" He was going to stop this. He had to stop this. Then fate played its hand. The would-be artist slipped on a loose piece of paper, and tumbled down the stairs. "Ahhhh!" he roared, falling on the ground. He tried running to the door, but his right ankle was twisted, and all he could manage was a limp. The murderers heard him. Aodan, the monk without any holiness, Alan, the librarian without any books, and Dainard, the stable boy without any sense; they had come in for the night. "You bastards!" Sart yelled, "He was the one person I trusted and you killed him! I.. I... I.." He started crying. "We were supposed to be better than this. We were supposed to bring peace!" He pointed a finger at them. "Aodan, weren't you going to give Austere's blessing to us heathens? What would your God think of you now? And Alan, weren't you supposed to bring wisdom to these meetings? Instead you've lost your senses! And Dainard..." Sart paused. "Dainard... Were you trying to bring death? You've certainly accomplished that! I think you're one of them... Yes, I'm sure of it now, you're one of them, aren't you? Don't deny it, you've been after us all this time! Always following Aodan's hunches, knowing that we would all follow the good priest to our deaths if he had enough support. You're going to pay. You're going to pay..." Sart stared at the boy, eyes blazing. He awkwardly got to his feet, and grimaced. "I'm going to bed now, but I want you to know," he proclaimed as he glowered at the hostler, "you're going to die. I don't care if it costs me my life, but you're going to die." Sart turned and limped up the stairs. "Good night, murderers. I'll see you in the morning." I'm so angry that I missed the vote against Thomas. While I had nothing conclusive, I was fairly convinced he wasn't Pahn Kahl. Dainard, I'm not sure if you're Pahn Kahl, but you sure as heck seem like one to me. If you need to see my reasoning, I'll tell Aodan about it.
  25. I don't have any suspicions either. Since Gammer is getting suspicious of me, I'll explain my actions though. This is my first time playing this type of game, so I don't know who to trust. I've been leaving the voting to you guys so I can understand how to play the game better. The only suspicion I've had so far was Grim, and that was just because he was talking a lot for a first time player. Alas, it turned out he was just into roleplaying. If you guys have some suspicions, let's hear them. Right now, we're not doing any good just waiting for the Pahn Kahl to kill us.
