Tammy Kingswright surveyed her platoon of soldiers. She had requested twenty highly-trained Rithmatists. However, she had only gotten thirteen. That boded well. She sighed; there wasn't anything she could do about it now. They had lost too many good men. Still, she had to put on a good face. "Alright folks, listen up! The weather report is in, and it doesn't look good. We've been assigned to the front lines, and we leave tomorrow morning. We might get reinforcements, but somehow I doubt it. Still, we've got a job to do, so let's get on it. Camp dismissed!" She turned away, and headed to her tent. Tomorrow was going to be a long day. Bart's game is wrapping up, so it's time for this one to get started. This game will start on Sunday at 9:00 AM Central Time, even if LG8 is still going on. If you still haven't signed up yet, now is the time to do so.

I forgot that argument against Willa had already been brought up. Unfortunately, that means I don't have a whole lot of suspects left. However, we need to force a lynch today, otherwise we won't get anywhere. I feel bad about doing this, but I'm going to vote for Jain. His sudden activity is inherently suspicious. While it could be that he is a good player who decided to be more involved, it seems more likely that someone stole his body, and thus he was forced to be more active. Also: I didn't make a single spike this game. Willa, did you try to spike anyone after the PMs were down? If one of them didn't go through, it means that person was probably a kandra.
-
Unfortunately, it's more like 4 to 3, since Kamden hasn't been active since September (if we assume that the kandra aren't impersonating him). While I agree that we need to spur the inactives into action, I believe the best course of action is to go after one of the members of the Set. The kandra would be highly tempted by the spikes, and so I don't see any reason why they wouldn't want to impersonate one of them. Furthermore, we should concentrate on the other kandra besides Joe, since we don't have enough evidence yet to figure out who he is impersonating. Therefore, I would highly recommend not voting for me, since the only way I am bad is if Joe jumped into my body, which would be very risky for me. Of the two other Set members I suspect Willa the most. Why? Because she voted for Bunnt the same time Araris (who we know was being controlled by Joe) was voting for him. If my vote change had gone through, that would have been a guaranteed lynch, and we would have lost Bunnt. I highly doubt the kandra would want to have a tie vote, especially if one of their members was causing it. Therefore, I suspect that Willa was trying to force the vote, and thus is kandra. I'm kind of tired right now, so I don't know if this is the best reasoning. However, I do know we need to get votes in as quickly as possible. Edit: Greened out vote.

MR Game 3: When Chalklings Attack. I'm trying to advertize it in this thread since I would like 20 people to sign up. Although, I'm pretty sure you signed up for it already...

Alright, you guys know that I'm good, so that means the kandra are probably going to kill me/impersonate me. Here's my thoughts on who could be kandra. Terra: She's been somewhat inactive. However, she has been checking in on this site regularly. That definitely seems suspicious. Jain: His longer posts are definitely a bit suspicious, but he is spurring activity in the thread, which is always a good thing. He's not that suspicious to me, but I could always be wrong. Taliz Duede (Twei): His last post reminded me a lot of the first time I was eliminator. Compliments followed by no vote alleviate suspicion and allow you to gauge the suspicions of other players. It just seemed out of character for him, so I definitely suspect him. Kamden: He's been inactive for half of the game. However, the kandra could have jumped to him to avoid suspicion. However, that does give them one less vote, which wouldn't be ideal. Koll: He was the last one to jump on the bandwagon, so it makes sense that he's kandra. However, I doubt a kandra would vote for someone with only one sentence. It seems like an unnecessary risk. Bunnt: He's been quiet recently, although I have had suspicions of him in the past few days. However, we know that a kandra started the bandwagon on him, so it's doubtful that he's evil. Alim: He has several spikes, so he would be a useful target for the kandra. He also voted for me, which makes him suspicious, especially if he doesn't vote for Twei tommorow. Willa: We know she has at least one spike in her, so she would be a valuable target for the kandra. However, she claims that she has been lurching herself, which would exonerate her. I would suspect that at least one kandra has infiltrated the Set, in order to gain access to our spikes. Furthermore, they would need someone influencing the votes to secure a non-kandra death each day. Finally, they probably have someone in an inactive in order to avoid suspicion. Based on these facts. I think the kandra are hiding in Terra, Twei, and Alim. I am probably completely wrong on this, but I want you guys to know my suspicions before I am untrustworthy again. P. S. Join my Mafia Game. It will be fun!

I'll just quote Kasimir from my game's thread. I hope that answers your question. You should be able to tell when my game starts since my post will have Mid-Range Game 3 in the title.
-
Hmm.... It looks like I'm going to have to tap my gold again. It's too late to change votes on me, mostly because the kandra are probably leading the charge against me right now. Furthermore, I'll be defenseless tonight, so the kandra will probably kill me then. I'm highly suspicious of Twei and Koll right now, mostly because of the bandwagon against me. Oh well, you'll find out soon enough that I'm innocent.
-
Honestly, It's time for some blood in the streets. Twei I'm really suspicious of you right now. You've never been shy about throwing out votes before, but now you won't vote for me, even though you're most suspicious of me. Furthermore, you complimented Jain, and then didn't support his call for an inquisition. Your post reminds me of how I write when I'm an inquisitor. For these reasons, I'm highly suspicious of you right now.

Willa Dants Hmmm... It looks like Dants is genuinely inactive. He hasn't logged in since September, which I'm pretty sure disqualifies him as being kandra. Still, I wonder what would happen if his body was stolen. It would kind of break the game, since the kandra wouldn't be able to talk at all. Although I suppose they could keep making kills. Since there doesn't seem to be any discussion going on, I guess I'll vote for him. Let that be a lesson to you: Don't go inactive! We still have way too many suspects for kandra, and half the people being missing makes them extremely difficult to find. I know real life can be busy, but this is handing the kandra the victory.
-
Well, it makes sense for them to jump bodies, especially since we were nearing the end of possible Tineyes. In other news, this thread seems deserted. Willa where do you think the kandra are at? I suspect they might have jumped into your body last night. Mostly though, I just want to provoke discussion.

The order goes: Vigor, then Forbiddance, Warding, and Silencing, then Kills (Lynch, Forbidden Kill, and Random Chalkling Attack), and lastly Making Also, note that an Artist will be able to tell what their target was trying to do, but normal Chalklings will return a false negative if the target was stunned.

Remember, the Forgotten are immune to wild chalkling kills. They can still be randomly selected for it, but it won't kill them. This is also the same for the Sentry.

Special Thanks to Ben McSweeney for making these icons and Awesomeness Summoned for making them available online. On the Isle of Nebrask, there was one simple rule: keep the Circle whole. The Circle was a line of chalk, surrounding the island, containing the wild chalklings. If it broke, they could swarm out, and decimate the United Isles of America. On the Western Front, a new group of Rithmatists were gathering. Their mission was simple: if the line washed out, they had to repair it. Their commanding officer, Tammy Kingswright, addressed the group. “We are defending our homeland today. The Circle may be holding today, but it could fall at any moment. A single raindrop could ruin our line, and destroy our way of life. We’re not going to allow that. Come rain or shine, we will protect this country! Now, who’s with me?” Mid-Range Game 3 is now open for sign-ups! I’m looking for around 20 players, but the more the merrier. This game will start a day after Long Game 8 ends. Rules: Setting: You are part of a group of Rithmatists, battling wild chalklings in Nebrask. However, it appears some of your battalion actually support the chalklings, and are secretly trying to sabotage the front lines. General Rules: This game has the day and night combined into one cycle. Players will vote on who to lynch in the thread, while sending the GM (me) their special action in PMs. PMs between players are not allowed in this game. Each Cycle will last 48 hours. Rithmatics: To combat the chalklings, most soldiers (excluding Non-Rithmatists) use Rithmatics. Each day, you may do one of the following. However, you may not repeat the same action two cycles in a row. Line of Forbiddance: You protect yourself for the cycle. As long as this stays up, you can't be killed. Line of Vigor: Cancel a target player's action. Line of Making: You create a chalkling that will spy on a target player. Unfortunately, chalklings are extremely dumb and can only be given extremely basic commands. Chalklings will walk in a straight line and will only return to you if they run into a wall. If a player was using a Line of Warding or Forbiddance, you will be informed that they were protected. Otherwise, nothing will happen. Line of Warding: The camp gains one defense for the cycle. (See below) Advanced Rithmatics: You can substitute one of these for your special action, if you have been taught them. Line of Revocation: Kill a target player, as long as they aren't protected by a Line of Forbiddance. This is only available to Rithmatic Scholars. Line of Silencing: Cancel a target player's vote. Special Roles: The Forgotten: You command the wild chalklings, and you win once you outnumber the good-guys. Every night, instead of using Rithmatics, one of you can kill a target player. You are also immune to Wild Chalkling kills. Of course, you have access to a Google Doc to formulate plans. Non-Rithmatist: You are clearly crazy. You sneaked onto the front-lines without having any powers! However, you have studied Rithmatics extensively, and have learned about Advanced Rithmatics. Once per game, you can give a target Rithmatist access to these powers. Sentry: As long as you stay alive, you passively give the camp 1 defense. See below for details. You are also immune to the Wild Chalkling kill. This role will be added if we have enough players. Artist: Because you can draw them so well, your chalklings are smarter. When you use Lines of Making, you will learn what special action your target did that turn. Defense: Since the camp is on the front-lines, there is always the threat of wild chalklings invading. The power of the chalklings is equal to the number of Forgotten. The camps defense is equal to the number of people making Lines of Warding plus the Sentry bonus. If the power of the chalklings is greater than the defense of the camp, a random player is killed. This kill ignores Lines of Forbiddance. If the camp's defense is equal to, or greater than, the power of the chalklings, the camp doesn't lose a player. Quick Links:

Bunnt Wilson This seems really suspicious. We've got three people ganging up on Kamden, who hasn't showed up in the thread at all recently. If he's a kandra, that's great, but I have the feeling that the kandra are swaying the vote from one of their own. I can't do anything about this right now, but I'm getting really suspicious of Bunnt. It just doesn't seem right to risk dying by changing your vote to someone who only has one "get-in-the-thread" vote. He couldn't know Twei would jump on that vote, unless they were communicating. All in all, it reads very false to me.
-
Wilson Well, we need to start making accusations. Right now, there are 7 good guys and 3 bad guys. That's not the greatest odds, especially since the bad guys can keep switching bodies. Alim, I didn't spike any one last night, but I am concerned about one thing. I suspect that kandra have infiltrated one of the Set, in order to steal our spikes. Therefore, you should post the name of the person you tried to spike, in case Wilson (or you) is a kandra. I'll put a vote on him so he will show up.
-
...I think you're missing some votes.
-
Taliz Duede Tulir Well this is embarrassing... I'm getting my T names mixed up. I meant to vote for Tulir, so I'll get my votes changed.
-
I guess we'll never know... Until Gamma gets done posting the master spreadsheet. By the way, it was fun speculating on this game, although I was the only one besides Gamma on the doc.
-
Taliz Duede Hmm... Well, there's probably three kandra, 2 of whom have moved on to other bodies. I'm hesitantly going to put a vote on Taliz Duede. I think he might be the Tineye, though I don't have too much backing on that. It's mostly to provoke discussion.

Satrams strolled across the street, contemplating his life. Nearly being killed twice would put anyone in a philosophical mood. He liked having the streets deserted in the middle of the day. It gave him room to pace. The kandra were getting out of hand, and he was in a position to stop them. If only he could figure out who they were! They kept jumping bodies before he even began to suspect them. He suspected Morgan, but how could he be sure. The arguments against Quitania were also convincing. How likely was it to not have a power in this type of group? He sighed. He didn't have any answers. He walked back to the bar humming a solemn tune. It went something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zLfCnGVeL4 For people who can't remember what happened this day, here's a vote count: Morgan Hanks (2): Satrams, Bunnt Terra (2): Araris, Morgan Hanks Quitania (5): Alim, Koll, Alv, Taliz Duede, Willa
-
Ouch. I hope you get better soon.
-
In fact, I'm pretty sure I told you that in our PM. Anyways, I'm bored, so let's make a vote count. Morgan Hanks (2): Satrams, Bunnt Terra (2): Araris, Morgan Hanks Quitania (4): Alim, Koll , Alv, Taliz Duede Hmm... I'll keep my vote on Morgan for right now, but Quitania is another solid choice. However, we've already had one vanilla player (Aonar), so she might be telling the truth. Edit: ... Terra and Quitania aren't the same person? I'll edit the count.

the Gleeman First off, there are 3 kandra in the game. The kandra mentioned his 2 partners in the writeup, so it is basically guaranteed. I would also suspect that there was 1 kandra in each group. Therefore, we can assume that there is a kandra in the Koloss Riot. I suspect Morgan Hanks is the kandra, because he hasn't done anything productive in the thread. However, he has been keeping track of the game, flying under the radar. I would love to see who you suspect. Also, if he's been helpful in the Riot PM, what has he been advocating? I'm just trying to pin down motives. Furthermore, even if he isn't the kandra, the Riots still have Koloss-blooded individuals, so we won't lose a player if we hit one of them.
-
While it's good that we're making plans for the night cycle, we need to remember to vote. No one has come up with a reason not to vote for Peng, which makes me very suspicious. The kandra would probably defend their own/ make a post to the thread about it. I'll wait until I hear more discussion on votes to place mine, but we have to be smart about this. I have a bad feeling that the kandra are going to start impersonating people soon, especially since we've gotten so many trusted people.
-
Sorry for the confusion. For some reason, highlighting doesn't work right on IE with Windows 8. I'll try using another browser to vote, or I can put my votes at the top in red, so people can see them. Anyways, Aonar's plan makes sense. Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing if we actually have a Lurcher in the game. If there is one, great. If there isn't one, we know that I'm safe for the night. However, I hesitate to take up a leadership role, mostly because my body would be easily stolen.
