2C, with me.

What. I'm not the traitor, Stick is! He was the one who was lynched.
-
We need to lynch Gunners, before more of us get shot out of the sky. I'm voting on Stick. I'm always in favor of a Day 1 lynch, and him being so happy about not having one seemed off.
-
I'm not. Cadmium Compounder. We always need to generate lynch discussion. Yes, we want to prevent the all lose scenario of the Krell winning, but we can't afford to ignore the Gunners.
-
Question. Where is Poco-2? It's not in the list.

Oh right, I haven't signed up for this yet. Signing up as Sarah Potts aka Seraph

Quick Fix Game 37: Black Shadows in T'Telir
Sart replied to Young Bard's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Vote Count: CadCom (1): Maill Alvron (1): Steeldancer Steeldancer (4): Rath, Joe, Randuir, CadCom "Perhaps I'm missing something here, but Ch Aracter TBA (CadCom) didn't have a reason to pass his Breaths to N'Narim (Lumgol). Look at his last words yesterday." "Does that strike you as someone who would then ally with N'narim instead? But, oh, we're supposed to believe his tear-jerking story that he felt moved with pity over poor N'Narim's lack of Breath." Sart rolled his eyes. "What lack of Breath?!" Sart shouted. He paused, adjusted himself on his seat, and spoke in a calm measured tone "N'Narim (Lumgol) admitted that he had a Strawman, which was worth a fair amount of Breath. If Ch Aracter TBA had actually cared about giving more of the Hallandren Alliance ropes, he could have had Lumgol give him the extra breaths, rather than making a rich man richer. And yet it appears the rest of you have fallen for it hook line and sinker. With sweet arguments, he's convinced you to look elsewhere, and now Awakened Steel (Steeldancer) is in the hot seat. Bah. I only stopped voting on you since I believed you had a Strawman. I see that thought process was obviously skewed. Well, I won't make the same mistake twice. It's time for you to meet your maker @Cadmium Compounder. I hope you're prepared." -

Vote Count: Lumgol (2): Elandera, Randuir Elandera (2): CadCom, Steeldancer Steeldancer (1): Mailliw "Well this is certainly interesting. My two main suspects have turned on each other. Originally, I suspected that they were working together, but this casts doubt on that theory." Sart played with one of his coat tassels, thinking. Ch. Aracter TBA clearly had a Strawman working for them. Such an item would cost a pretty penny in Breath. With that much Breath, the Shadows could start amassing Lifeless. That seemed unlikely to Sart. So, then what? Well, there was only one other person who made his gut rankle. "Turqouise-Bellied Alligator (Elandera), I must confess I'm still suspicious of you. I see N'Narim's actions as a failed gambit, rather than a sign of evil. Plus, you voted on me, which was rather unkind of you." -

To clarify, I'm voting on CadCom because he voted on Ark, not on Alvron. His first vote was non-alignment indicative. However, what rang as very suspicious to me was his immediate switch to Ark. We both seem to agree that Ark's vote swings were just Ark being Ark. I read CadCom's vote as trying to join the "obvious" lynch, rather than taking the time to come up with his own suspicions. This post makes me think you're less likely to be evil, but my gut still isn't sure. With all that being said, I'm in a rough place now. The vote is tied three ways. I could switch to Ark, but like I said, I'm not suspicious of them right now. I may vote on them to save myself if I get another vote, but I'll wait as long as I can for that. -

Vote Count: Cadmium Compounder (3): Sart, Ark, Alvron Lumgol (1): Joe Alvron (1): Randuir Ark (3): Steeldancer, Mailliw, CadCom Sart (2): Xinoehp, Elandera Sheesh. My gut is going crazy over this post. Allow me to explain why, piece by piece. "Reading alignments might be a bit difficult this game." They always are. Even with copious analysis, a vote always comes down to gut feeling. "While elims are almost certainly going to try," Try what? Bandwagoning? Well, yes they always want to join lynches started by villagers to implicate villagers later down the line. "Village has just as much incentive for joining it as elims." Joining the lynch? We have more incentive. It's our only way to gain breaths. The elims can kill to gain more. "I'd actually venture to say that it might be worth bandwagoning to limit the amount of breath any elims might get from it" Yes, let's hop on lynches and quell discussion. That seems like a solid plan. "I'd also say elims will be more apt to try to lead the lynches, as it would garner them the most breaths." They don't need the breaths, they can kill to gain breaths. Even then, the Breath gained by a lynch will be minimal at best. "That being said, I don't like the bandwagon on CadCom." Why not? I voiced reasoning for it, and Alvron seconded that reasoning. "It seems purely for the sake of gettting breaths, rather than for finding elims." If you're so mad about that, go lynch Ark. I've provided reasoning for my vote. CadCom is doing the same thing that Lumgol did in the Long Game. He had two votes on him, and panicked, voting on Ark. While it's not a strictly random vote like Joe's on Lumgol, Mailliw's voted on Ark with the preface that it was probably going to change. Yes, Ark is voting on people who have votes on them, but that is a serious IKYK. I don't think Elim!Ark would be that bold about it. -

Quick Fix Game 37: Black Shadows in T'Telir
Sart replied to Young Bard's topic in Sanderson Elimination
"No. I'm afraid it's not. You seem especially eager to deflect the vote away from you. First you try to lynch Izzy, in order to blend in and perhaps lynch a coward. Then, when you realized he had spoken up, you voted on Katie (Ark). Why? I could understand voting on someone who is joining bandwagons left and right. However, that was not your stated reasoning. You wanted his vote off of you, and bargained your vote in exchange. If you were a villager, you shouldn't have had anything to fear. I would have removed my vote off of you, and Katie would then follow to a better target. Instead, you panicked, because you are a Black Shadow, and felt our suspicions were justified. Now, you could be innocent, but this is the best lead we have at present." Sart took a sip of tea. "Unless you have a better suggestion?" -

"In this game, it's vote now, and vote often." mused Sart, as he gazed towards the tranquil ocean. The seafood restaurant around him was buzzing with rumors about the mysterious Black Shadows. Sart was reluctant to get involved, but it seemed he didn't have much of a choice. As a businessman, he had a responsibility to eliminate any threats to his enterprise. Still, there wasn't much to go on. The votes were currently random, with little justification other than gaining breath. He decided, at least for now, to focus on the members that hadn't spoken up yet. It wasn't any indication of guilt, but it at least provided a place to start, and might help further the discussion. "Cadmium Compounder, where are you? We need your opinion." He fetched a waiter. "Tell @Cadmium Compounder that I'm waiting." -

Well, I'm not doing anything else. Signing up. -
Well, it's better to get a lynch off on someone I suspect, rather than someone I trust. Furamirionind will have to wait. I'll strategically vote on Lopen, to at least tie the vote up and give Lumgol a chance to survive. I'm unconvinced of the case against Levitaph. He just reads as a new player who is tunneling hard core on Lumgol. Seriously, he voted on Lumgol every cycle.

Operating under the assumption that if Lumgol was Sja-Ajanat, they would have converted someone before Day 2, since they were getting so much suspicion. Further, I'm discounting the possibility of Lumgol being a convert. If they wanted a convert who was suspicious as an IKYK, they could have taken me, and gained vote manipulation. So, if Lumgol is Sja-Ajanat, then who was their first conversion? It couldn't be Levitaph or Ark, since they both voted on Lumgol Day 2. Likewise, Lumgol voted on Dapper, so that is unlikely. Rath is the Stormfather, and also voted on Lumgol Day 3. Lumgol voted on Lopen Day 3. I voted on him for a split second, before panicking due to Dapper's vote, which I assumed was a last minute attempt to save a teammate. Furamirionind and Ark are now voting on him this cycle, although that could be a bus. Okay, so if Lumgol is Sja-Ajanat, barring any busing shenanigans, their first convert would have to be Snipexe, Devotary, Shqueeves or Xinoehp. Of those four candidates, only Devotary seems to make any sense. Both Snipexe and Xinoehp were inactive Day 1, and Shqueeves only placed a vote on Fifth via RNG. And as I look at Devotary's posts, they have expressed mild suspicion of Lumgol as well. So, every living player has either expressed suspicion of Lumgol, or has been seriously inactive. Thus, Lumgol is definitely not Sja-Ajanat. Therefore, we need to find an alternate lynch target and fast. I'm going to vote on Furamirionind. Why? Honestly, I'm not sure. I know Elandera was killed early, presumably because of how well she did as an Eliminator in my Mid-Range. The only living players who were following that game are Lumgol, Devotary, and Furamirionind. Since I've cleared Lumgol of being Sja-Ajanat, that leaves Devotary and Furamirionind. I suspect both of them, but I will vote on Furamirionind to start with, as they will be participating in the Mafia Championship soon, and I don't want them distracted with this game.

Crud the cycle is ending.... Um.... Do I still feel the same way about Lopen? Not really, it was kind of flimsy in the first place. I feel like Lumgol is more suspicious right now.

In theory, they can be useful to form trust groups and make alliances. However, in conversion games, they can be dangerous. If someone you trusted is converted, congratulations, the Elims now know your role. That helps them navigates the town's plans, and can lead to easy victories. It was especially dangerous in Fifth's case, as he was role swapping with everyone. Even if some Villagers lied to him, the Elims would have probably half of our roles if they converted him. The one time I was a converter, this was my strategy. First I converted someone blindly that was active. I wanted someone to shield me in case the lynch swung my way. Second, I converted someone who was involved in a bunch of PMs, in order to learn the village's plans and gain more information. Third, I converted someone with a kill role, to quickly eliminate the rest of the Village. I imagine Sja-Ajanat is following a similar strategy here, but obviously that will differ with play style.

Sure thing. The Forgotten Doc The Dead Doc The Master Spreadsheet I guess that's an open secret now. It's not really a rerun, and more of a re-imagining of the game. It's taking the mechanics from all of my previous Rithmatist games, and fusing them together into one final Long Game. That will probably be Long Game 56, so look forward to it. And now my thoughts on the game. Wow was this close! The Forgotten had a string of bad luck in the first two cycles, but Elandera was nearly able to pull of an incredible comeback. Joe nearly won as the Thief, but revealing his role to everyone probably wasn't the smartest strategy. If he had stayed quiet, he probably would have taken the victory. I only have one area I wasn't satisfied with. The Item Supply got way too bloated near the end of the game. It prevented Elandera from killing, which extended the length of the game significantly, and made her life that much harder. That mostly happened because Villagers forgot to take actions, and then the two people with the highest item counts died the same turn. I'll have to carefully balance that part of the game in the future. Thankfully, taking items will be a Day action, so it should alleviate some of the problems.

Vote Count: Ark (1): Lopen Oh come on! We have more information now than ever, but only one person has voted. Now then. Regarding Cadmium Compounder, and my revealing his role. I regret doing that. I got too amped up about lynching Fifth, on whom I believed I had a rock solid case. My main evidence was that he lied about his role. While he did lie, he was still a Villager, so revealing Cadmium's role was unnecessary. To clarify my position on role reveals, I like revealing them when they enhance the lynch. In my case, i revealed to prevent a mislynch, and in Cadmium's case, I did it to hopefully lynch a bad guy. What I don't like is people revealing their role for no reason, like in a role swap. That's dangerous, especially with conversion. Now then, since I have time to post, I'm going to place a vote. Lopen I'm suspicious of you. A similar lack of voting happened in my Mid-Range game on Day 3. Guess what happened? The only two people to vote were two bad guys. They weren't afraid to vote, because they knew there wasn't any danger of lynching a teammate. I suspect the same thing has happened this game. In addition, you're a fairly active player who has managed to stay under the radar. That might not mean anything, but it could have made you a better target for a conversion. For these reasons, I'm voting on you.

Why do I have such a hard time remembering people's gender? My apologies. Still, I'm not convinced of your innocence. At the same time though, I will feel bad if you turned out to be a Villager. This bandwagon demonstrates why we need more people voicing their opinions earlier in the cycle. I know I'm partially to blame for that since I didn't post my analysis until late, but at least I had my vote on you early. Out of curiosity, who did you scan Night one then?
