Vote Count: Sart (1): Kynedath Araris (1): Xinoehp512 StrikerEZ (1): Elkanah Abstrusity (1): Araris Another cycle of sporadic voting. I'm not going to help matters by voting on Xinoehp, but he's my biggest suspicion at the moment. I could definitely see a team between him and Elkanah. He broke the tie to save them, and I haven't been getting good gut vibes from either of them. Add that he is voting on Araris, who I currently lean village on, and I have my suspect. I was assuming no one had roles, because on Day 1 two people without roles were lynched. However, that is clearly not the case, as I was roleblocked and we had our Gunner die. Given that the Elims probably have a gun, this is going to be do or die. I hope my read on Xinoehp is right, but we need to have a backup plan. If you have enough chits, buy a gun ASAP. If you don't have enough chits, consider passing your chits to someone else.

Araris Valerian (1): Fifth Scholar Sart (1): Kynedath Elkanah (2): Kidpen, Abstrusity Kidpen (3): The God King, Rathmaskal, Araris Valerian Zillah (1): Elkanah Well, this is interesting. I was going to propose that this might be a vanilla only game, but I was roleblocked so that's impossible. It appears the lynch up to now has concentrated on those who voted to arrest Coda. Personally, I support that action. Game activity sags when people don't post, so from a meta perspective, I like having Contribution Crusade lynches. That does not bear on alignment, but it does speak to a level of activity that I support. So, what now? The two candidates leading the vote are the ones who broke the tie. Honestly, I have no idea at this point who to vote for, but I always put a vote down because it's the right thing to do from a meta perspective. I'm just tired. I've never understood how people can discern who is lying, and who is telling the truth in these games. I've never had the right knack for it. I rely mechanic synergies to better suit my strengths, but that fails in situations like these. We have only one vote train that got anywhere last cycle, and I need to somehow find the culprit from that scant evidence. It's frustrating, and it feels like I'm frustrated more by the meta-construct of Sanderson Elimination than anything else. So I'm just going to take a guess, and say Elkanah. I may be disengaging with Sanderson Elimination, but it's still the game I signed up to play. I don't like how they've generated several codes in thread that don't do anything. They're just fun for decoding, but they don't help the game itself. It feels like we're more interested in something other than the game we signed up to play. This post has gotten really bitter. Sorry, it's been a long day. Let's see how this vote shakes things up.

It is a bit of a mayor plan, I admit. I wanted something that would start discussion, so I tried to come up with a plan to debate. The Elim kill is a role action, meaning that they can both pass their chit and make the kill at the same time. Plus, if they get chits for RP or discussion, they might be able to buy the gun Cycle 2. That's fairly quick, and that concerns me. It's not game breaking by any means, but it definitely gives them an advantage. You do bring up a good point that the plan requires 100% activity, which is probably a fatal flaw. Speaking of inactivity, I saw Shanerockes lurking in the thread, but he didn't post anything. It's worth a poke vote.

Sam "Silver Fox" Navallo tried to examine the contraband problem. The rebels had a clear advantage when it came to funds, because they would be able to give chits to one another. This would allow them to illegally obtain a pistol, which would have lethal consequences. Was there anyway to stop that from happening? He had to come up with a plan. After all, he was the Silver Fox, known for his inventive stratagems. So, how could they prevent money from being handed over? If everyone had an alibi, they could confirm that no one was channeling funds. He thought through the item distribution. He was assuming no one had started with a hovercar as those were prohibitively expensive. Radio usage was easy enough to confirm. The other party just had to respond, and then that alibi would be set. Obviously, a pistol would have lethal side effects, so he was not in favor of resorting to violence yet. A light lash could apprehend criminals, so they would be useful if used properly. Plus, the person who was ensnared could confirm the action. However, what of the people who started with no items? No one could confirm if they were funneling their money elsewhere. His eyes gleaned as he came up with a strategy. If those without items gave just 1 chit away to the person next to them, it would confirm that they weren't funneling all their money to their teammate. It was an imperfect stratagem, but it would do in a pinch. By using all available items, they would hamper the rebels enough to prevent needless bloodshed. TLDR: If you have items, use them. If you don't, give 1 chit to the person below you in the player order.

I feel really bad that I died from the inactivity filter. I thought I had a couple more hours in the cycle, but alas. Anyway, props to my teammates for making the game last as long as it did.

Hmm... I feel like Striker is trying to pocket me. I'll vote for him next cycle. However we're tied now, so Elandera and Venture , Coda. Sorry but De Tess is right. We need a lynch today.

Well that backfired. Still, I accomplished my goal of getting people to vote. I've always been in favor of a Day One lunch, but the town was so reluctant to do it this game. I could have voted on another player, but that would tie up the vote, leading to no lynch. Therefore, I decided to blatantly sheep in order to provoke discussion. I've realized that votes don't start flying until someone has 2 on them, so I spread up the process. Unfortunately, all I managed to do was center the discussion on me. Whoops. I know I should vote in self defense, but the person I'm most suspicious of is Elandera. Sitting on the sidelines like that just ticks me off.

The black market was full of whispers. In public, everyone was carrying on business as usual. One lone voice was calling for Charley's head, but that was the exception. Everyone didn't want to say what they were thinking. No one wanted to acknowledge the traitors among them. In private though? The whispers grew ever louder, each dealer getting more and more paranoid. This place was a powder keg, and it was only a matter of time before it blew. Even now, many people were discussing the best way to defend themselves. Perhaps a gun would be the ultimate weapon in the fight, but those were rare, and a knife seemed just as a good. Some would possibly hold out for protection, but a good offense would be a better defense. The traitors couldn't kill you if you killed them. I ignored the whispers. Back alley threats were never my strong suit anyway. Me? I prefer the direct approach. Waiting around too long, pretending that nothing was wrong would only lead to more hardship, more pain, and more suffering. Better to get it off your chest now, then wait later. Twibanu is calling for Charley's head, so let's get Charley's (Butt Ad Venture) head. Unless anyone objects, there's no point in waiting. I'll kill now, and I'll kill often, until I'm king of the bodies. That's a promise. So come on. Abandon your dark dens, and your webs of secrecy. It's past time to begin. This is a powder keg, and I'll gladly light the fuse.

I'm wondering why Devotary had his type revealed. I had hoped that it was because he was lynched, but Darkness disproved that. Perhaps it was because he voted on himself.

Ugh. I forgot how quickly these type of games move. Darkness Ascendant. I'm voting on you. As a Thug, you would know the Devotary lynch was pointless, so you would score village points if you fought against it. You also tried to direct suspicion towards Lumgol, who voted on the Elim, and is now confirmed good.

Yikes, these votes are going all over the place. I think there's a train emerging on StrikerEZ, but I'm not sure if I should jump on it. Eh, I guess I will, in case the Elims have vote manipulation. StrikerEZ, nothing personal, but you're the best lynch candidate currently.

To whoever attacked me with a Shardblade last night. Ouch. I doubt the Ghostbloods have one, so we nearly had a Villager kill a Villager. In terms of lynching, I'll amp the pressure on Drake. I'm still suspicious of him, so hopefully this time we can get some traction.

While there is an inactivity filter, Xinoehp was avoiding it by posting this. He wouldn't have died from the filter, and could have skated by stealing more items. And since he was the Thief, I doubt he started with any items, so he probably stole the Reverser he died with Night 1. So I really don't feel bad about lynching him, although I would rather have lynched a Ghostblood.

We only have two hours left, and I'm currently leading the lynch. Great... I could tie the lynch up against StrikerEZ, but I'm getting village vibes from him. Instead I'm going to vote on Xinoehp. I don't like it, because it feels like a waste of a lynch, but we can't keep doing this. He's got a history of being inactive in almost every game when he's signed up. It drives me crazy. This is a vote on principle, and we can't keep rewarding this type of behavior.

Vote Count: Sart (2): Coda, Amanuensis StrikerEZ (1): Elbereth Hemalurgic Headshot (1): Araris Valerian Elbereth (1): StrikerEZ Straw (1): Hemalurgic Headshot Tleir was somewhat worried that she might end up lynched, as she was the only person with two votes. In addition, Leiken (Amanuensis) had shot a hole in her theory. The Ghostbloods could have killed Ellarel (Elandera) for her Pain Knife, rather than to quell discussion. Still, she didn't want to abandon her theory. Rather, she wanted to focus on one specific person among those who lynched Hymnyes (Butt Ad Venture). Brightlord Ekard (Drake Marshall). There were three points against him. One was simply her gut. The man's tone just seemed off to her. Second, he kept his vote on Hymnyes jokingly in retaliation. That seemed to go against the man's character. Finally, and most importantly, were the words of the dead. Both Hymnyes and Ellarel suspected Ekard at one point. And yes, while being confirmed good, did not equal being confirmed right, where there is a dropped stone, there would be ripples. For these reasons, Tleir had decided to vote for Ekard.

"If I might interject, I have a theory on why the Ghostbloods killed Ellarel. Simply put, they are trying to kill discussion. Most of our debate was centered on Ellarel and Hymnyes yesterday. By killing both candidates, they are trying to make that day's discussion meaningless. However, I think we can glean more from this. Suppose the Ghostbloods killed someone else last night. Naturally, suspicion would fall on the people who voted on Hymnyes, a confirmed Noble, rather than those who voted on Ellarel who would still be of unknown alignment. That should have pleased the Ghostbloods, as they could have framed Ellarel and made us kill one of our own. There was a risk though. Suspicion could have shifted to someone else who voted on Hymnyes. After all, Ellarel only voted on Hymnyes in self-defense at the last second. If there was a Ghostblood among those voting for Hymnyes, that could prove disastrous. My theory is that the Ghostbloods were trying to avoid that outcome. By eliminating Ellarel, they shifted blame away from the people voting on Hymnyes. That is where I would concentrate my investigation on."
