LG112 - Pseudocycle Three: No Spoilers

Well, Striker switching his vote is a big part of you not getting exed. I wouldn’t be surprised if Verdance’s claim to have scanned Striker is just an attempt at distancing. -

Verdance is already pseudodead. -

I wouldn’t believe any scan from Verdance, green or red, unless he flipped green afterward. I find 2 village roleplayers to be fairly unlikely unless the game was balanced around the meta-elims being almost guaranteed to win their bet. But that seems counter to the whole idea of the game. Honestly, the only reason I give any credence to Verdance’s claim to begin with is that there is a specific interaction in the rules for meta-elim roleplayers. -

Why was anyone voting on Xino in the first place? Won’t he get filtered out fairly soon anyway for not posting? In particular, I think the filter hits Xino at the end of this turn. I suppose there are pinch hitters lined up so we won’t actually get a flip. I only see one wasted exe. Even if by some twist of fate you flip village, your slot needs to be resolved or we’ll be stuck wondering about you all game. -

I mean, it could be that the meta-elim team has outed itself, in which case we should be excited rather than frustrated . Myst/Verdance/Striker/(Hoid or Kit Kat) -

Well, Striker switching his vote is what allowed the vote manip to save Myst. Hopper flipping Roleplayer is another nail in the coffin of meta-elim!Verdance. I find it a little interesting that there wasn’t much of a response to the Tineye message last turn, in the sense that Striker never got pushed to say what he was going to do with all his investiture. Also, I wonder if Hopper scanned Striker as meta-elim, which could explain his vote. If not, then he probably PM’d whoever he scanned at meta-villager, and that person should claim. I’m not liking Hoid or Kit Kat for helping save Myst either, so I’m fine with exeing them or Striker today. -
LG112 - Metacycle Two: Under New Management

I know the facts of this post are largely irrelevant, but the way it reads strongly inclines me to think of Myst as an elim. The post is very adversarial against TJ based on unfounded assumptions (the NK and the distro). Furthermore, the excuse about not claiming is pretty much what I’d expect e!Myst to say in that world. Myst I’m also interested in flipping Verdance, since I don’t really think anything has overturned my read on him from the last cycle. -
I've been brainstorming updates for my House on the Hill game and am interested in ideas for rooms/items. The current ideas are here (page 4), I'm curious what folks think might be fun to accidentally stumble upon in the House.

The thing with Verdance has me thinking that Myst is more likely a meta-villager than not (either that or the elim doc communication has seriously broken down). Also, I'm not really sure what's wrong exeing people back to back. It certainly adds a lot more sting to the pseudo-exe if we have a pattern of following it up with a matching meta-exe. Is Seeker that useful of a role? I'm still kinda surprised we haven't just had someone post a list of the elims yet, TBH. Also, for the folks worried about getting too many votes this turn, I don't really think that should be a main concern, if we're all largely convinced that Verdance is a meta-elim and thus a shoe-in for the next cycle execution.

Alright, joke's gone on long enough. I'm not a Roleplayer (I don't really know the metagame roles, so I didn't even know there was an alignment scan in the metagame). I was just a bit bothered that Verdance was asking what was going on when there were only 1.5 pages of stuff to read. Buuuut, I'm not really enthused with his reaction to my claim. I mean, what are the odds that he's in the exact scenario to mechanically deal with my fake-claim (and picked me to scan, of all people)? Furthermore, the delay on his ultimate claim response makes me suspicious its something that came from a doc. So my vote is gonna stick, at least for now. I can also verify my role, if it becomes necessary to show that I am not a Roleplayer.

Alternatively, Myst could be an elim that we caught a tell from, or the lot of us could be misguided villagers. It seems to me that there are several possibilities here beyond the ones you've listed, and I'm just trying to tease out why you think the ones where folks voting on Myst are elim are more likely. Mind elaborating what about Myst makes you think he's village? Is it gut or do you have something he said that makes you lean that way? Edit: I scanned you as a meta-elim last cycle so we're deciding the best way to execute you.
