  1. I'm going to switch my vote back from Lahilt to Ash. I kinda want to vote Mat, but I think Ash/Mat is a reasonable elim team, or Ash/Mat/Lahilt if there are 3, so I'd lean towards getting more support than being picky between the 3.
  2. If it’s a 2-person team with Mat then probably Mat/Lahilt, based on Mat’s strong position towards voting off Lahilt that isn’t really justified. Also, to @Azmine_king and @Matrim's Dice who are considering stalling, the elims can do the same. Just not send in a NK. Why would they, if it only helps us narrow our POE? I think at this point everyone should list who they are willing to vote for so we can work toward a consensus. I’ve done a complete about face and am pretty suspicious of Mat now, in agreement with TJ, so I’m willing to vote on Mat, Ash, or Lahilt. That would be my guess for a 3 person elim team. Edit: Looking at the suspicions people have posted, I’m pretty sure we can get a majority vote against Mat, maybe against Ash, probably not Lahilt.
  3. I generally have 2 different approaches to a game, which end up with wildly different kill targets. The first is what I've said already. My other approach involves killing low active people as a sort of CC or attempt to keep the thread active. These kills end up being low-info, but that isn't really the point. Recently I've switched to a much more aggressive form of elim play because of meta things and people getting used to my old elim strats and way too many elim games in a row. So I can play either way, and I guess you all can decide which playstyle meshes more with how I've been playing in thread. I mostly like Mat's read list, in that it is at least consistent. IF TJ is elim, then most likely Danex and Lahilt are village. And Ash/TJ is a sensible elim team based on D1 voting. But I don't see how that puts TJ as his strongest elim read. Also, @Matrim's Dice, could you elaborate on Danex and Lahilt, independent of TJ's theoretical alignment? Like, what specifically do you have them down as doing that is villagery? Also, if there are 3 elims, this is it, right? 5-3 goes to 3-3 and we lose. Makes me think that there are only 2 elims, since otherwise the game could have ended C2. If TJ is village, then the elims probably split their votes D1. And probably both voted Mage D2. That would make me think one of Mat/Ash is elim. And then one of Danex/Lahilt. The elims have been killing people that didn't vote for either Mage or TJ, so that makes me think TJ and Azmine are less likely to be elim. So my elim teams are Ash/TJ, Ash/Danex, Ash/Lahilt, Mat/Danex, and Mat/Lahilt. So while I'm still happy with Lahilt, I'm going to switch to Ash for now.
  4. Yeah, that struck my mind as I was posting that. But Mat's unwarranted(?) aggression towards me might make him a good candidate for that position. Gotta see how things play out today. The alternative (and probably unlikely) possibility is that the elims are lying low and hoping us active players kill each other off under the assumption that one of us must be elim. This is Illwei's first game GMing though, so I doubt she would make the elim team full of quiet folks. That runs the risk of them all going inactive.
  5. My elim kills would be Archer, Mat, and then TJ (only last because he was busy early on) (also assuming that none of these are my teammates). That's all the most vocal players besides myself gone, so controlling the thread wouldn't be too hard from there. Why are you opposing the Lahilt vote (as opposed to perhaps joining it)? And wasn't your initial elim read on me based on your 100% certain elim!Mage read?
  6. Does this mean that I'm worth 2 players? Or is my bus the 9th? I really liked the reads list that Archer posted during the Night turn, it basically fit everything I was thinking. I also think elim!me wouldn't have made the kills that have been made this game, so if Archer and I are on the same wavelength in terms of reads, I don't see him advocating for those kills. However, my interaction with Danex last cycle felt fairly positive to me, so I think I'll join TJ on Lahilt. I'm not a fan of him pointing a finger at Mat following a village!Mage flip, since it's pretty common for Mat to tunnel on villagers as village. And I'm not sure yet if I've played with Mat where he has artificially constructed a tunnel as an elim player to fake being village.
  7. While I didn’t say that, we learned that Mage is village and we managed to drag Mat out of his tunnel. You realize that you would be on this team, right? And since I would be on it as well, it makes perfect sense for me to :bus: you. Archer.
  8. Yes to the first two. I'll let everyone else judge on the last one. But I think we as people are more likely to forget things that aren't very important to us. So an elim that is happy to let things fall out as they may would be more likely to forget to check on things than a villager whose stake in the game depends on it.
  9. I certainly stab people when I am trying to kill them. I'm not sure I recall saying that I'm not trying to promote discussion though. Regardless, discussion comes from engaging with players in a way that gets them to give nuanced responses. Which poke voting most certainly doesn't, and stab voting can if employed correctly and with follow-up posts. Ultimately, I think a real threat of death (toward anyone, not just the player you are wanting to hear from) is what you need to get the kind of engagement that is most worth analyzing.
  10. That's kind of the elim mindset in a nutshell. Also, I would pretty strongly disagree that poke votes promote any discussion except about how poke votes fail to promote discussion, but that's besides the point.
  11. So TUO, Tani, and Azmine all failed to consolidate, and all gave various reasons for not doing so. However, the fact remains that none of them placed their initial vote with intent to kill anyways, so the lack of consolidation doesn't really mean a whole lot. Unfortunately, I've played enough with Tani and TUO to know that they would probably do that as either villagers or elims. Not really sure about Azmine. TJ is probably going to get booted by the filter. That makes me feel a little funny about Danex and Lahilt. Not much point voting out someone who is going to die by default anyways. I'm going to give Mat some credit for sticking to his guns last cycle. Nothing doing on Archer or Ash unless Mage flips elim. I'll vote Mage, since I honestly found them suspicious during C1 (and hence my vote then). If Mage flips elim, I'd probably pin one of Archer/Ash as elim. And Danex/Lahilt/Azmine as the other. I'll hold off on what I think of Mage flipping village, since we'll also get another NK before needing to vote again in that instance.
  12. Well, good game everyone. Thank you @Sart for running this! It was definitely different, since it was sort of a FFA, but the interaction was weird. I think activity and PM usage are the two largest variables in how this game ended up playing out.
  13. I'm gonna be gone the rest of the cycle, so I'm going to vote Xino. We need at least 3 votes on a non-Sacrifice, assuming someone agreed to work with them.
  14. Does anyone want to claim the vote on TUO? Because PMed me last cycle about being the Sacrifice, and if nobody voted him, his claim might have been truthful.
  15. I'd like to hear from everyone who they voted for. I put mine on Xino, like I said.
