LG 111 - Night 2: The Void Card
Araris Valerian replied to Araris Valerian's topic in Sanderson Elimination
This doesn’t work. You can’t become a hero by committing suicide by vote. Self-voting is frowned upon and generally not specifically accounted for in rules. Also, I have to say, that sounds like a pretty boring way to spend the next 2+ weeks of this game. Furthermore, if somehow the wielder of the Smoking Gun was the only person to vote on themselves, the Gun would pass to a random player. -
Night 2: The Void Card (credit to @coco.pudding for the writeup, and to @Mist. for the Deck RP) The discussion had at last come to an end. They all turned to him, and the evidence was explained: They believed he had deceived them, lied about what he was doing last night. He had been the last one seen with Archie, had been near Warren in the crowd the day before, had even been lurking around where the first body was found. Or so they said. They searched him first, wanting to make certain after the terrible mistake that had left Warren dead. It was Patrick who found it. A bomb, ready to detonate, concealed within his jacket. “He has a weapon!” He called, raising it up for all to see. That, of course, was the final straw they had been looking for. As they debated once again of what to do with him, Brax quietly drew a card. It took only once glance for him to know: his fate was sealed. Verna was the one to do it. These things had always fascinated her. The knife plunged into him and he fell, the card fluttering down to land atop his chest, blood soaking into the edges. The Void. Brax @Mist. has been executed! He was an Innocent Explorer. Night 2 has begun, and will end at 8PM Pacific Time on Friday, April 24. Don't forget to submit a night action. Let's get 100% actions tonight! While I am not going to confirm or deny the current scenario, if folks so desire, I can proceed with the writeups as if we are in a particular scenario. Anyone that would like this should let me know in their GM PM, and if a majority of players support the same scenario, I'll go with that one. Vote Count: Mist (4): Fizz, Star, Doc, Mint Star (3): Mist, Striker, Verdance Doc (1): Miss Fallen Player List:

LG 111 - Day 2: The Collapsed Room
Araris Valerian replied to Araris Valerian's topic in Sanderson Elimination
The gun counts as an action, so other actions cannot be taken at the same time. I'd also just strongly encourage everyone to go read the parts of the rules you believe to be relevant at this point in time.- 90 replies

I guess I’d prefer that votes/retractions for @___ include both ___ and mippo for the sake of visibility. Also, a brief reminder that directly quoting PMs, GM or otherwise, is against the rules. You are free to paraphrase, but no direct quotes.- 90 replies

Day 2: The Collapsed Room With no other ideas, and with trust beginning to fray, the explorers set forth once more into the halls of the House. This time individuals split off from their groups much faster, hoping to avoid being caught alone with the unknown killer. Even Brax and Verna parted at the first intersection they came to, though they promised to re-unite come morning. Archie, somewhat anxious now that he was alone, opened a doorway and was surprised to see a room that appeared to be somewhat in disrepair. So far, every part of the House was nearly good as new, which made some kind of sense, since the place hadn't existed a week ago. But in here, mold covered the walls, and the floorboards were damp. A musty smell hung in the air, so unlike the fresh scent that permeated the hallways. Perhaps this room, clearly left uncared for, could hold a clue to the secret of the House. Archie made his way across to floor to a stack of crates leaning against the far wall. *Crack!* The damp floor had rotten through, and no sooner than Archie's weigh was fully over the dark patch the floor gave way. His hands flailed about, grasping for a hold to no avail as he fell a dozen feet into the room below, landing in a crumpled heap. A windspren hovered over Archie's prone form, unusually still for one of its kind. The spren prodded first his legs, then his cheek, and was rewarded with a groan as Archie weakly opened one eye. "Speak the words. They are your friends, you want to protect them." Archie's mind was fuzzy, but it snapped into focus as the words he was to speak formed in his mind. At the same time, his vision cleared, showing a person approaching swiftly from the side, an arm raised and holding some kind of weapon. The newcomer hauled Archie's body off into the shadows, and the spren made as if to follow when a pulsing *bum-badum* emanated from deep within the House, shaking the walls and passing through the air of the basement room. When the vibration contacted the spren, its shape fuzzed and it dropped to the floor, motionless. Then the color slowly seeped out of the spren, spreading out into the floor before dissipating into some unknown part of the House. A grey outline of a young man remained momentarily, frozen in a pile on the floor, before a light draft scattered the form to mingle with the dust floating in the air. In the rest of the House, a few of the explorers noted that the decorations they passed in the hallways and the hues of the rugs they walked over seemed a bit more vibrant than when they had ventured forth at the start of the night. Archie @Divergent has been killed! He was an Innocent Explorer and a proto-radiant. Day 2 has begun, and will end at 8PM Pacific Time on Thursday, April 23. There will be a majority execution this cycle. There is no vote minimum, and ties will be decided randomly. Player List:

LG111 - Night 1: Justice Undeserved
Araris Valerian replied to coco.pudding's topic in Sanderson Elimination
For anyone that explores for a clue, there is a 65% chance of a clue from the current scenario pool, with each of the 3 options being equally likely. Then there would be a 17.5% chance for each of the other two pools, and again, any of the 3 options are equally likely. Also, there is a 20% chance up front that exploring players get lost and find nothing. Also, C is fixed at the starting value.- 27 replies

LG 111 - Day 1: A Locked House Mystery
Araris Valerian replied to Araris Valerian's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Yeah, rules as written, a body the Kandra discards would always flip as vanilla. -
Day 1: A Locked House Mystery As the night wore on, the various groups eventually split up, each individual hoping to find some secret or treasure they could keep to themselves. And despite the rather long and straight hallways, once separated, the explorers didn't bump into each other the rest of the night. Somewhere in the house, an explorer turned to leave the room they were inspecting to find the butler's gift lying in the doorway. The explorer picked up the box and tucks it into their bag for safe keeping. Eventually, growing exhaustion overtook the exploratory urge compelling everyone, and across the House people began to settle in for the night. The well-prepared had sleeping bags, and just conked out on the floor wherever seemed out of the way. Some other folks nestled themselves into the corner of a room, while those fortunate enough to have found a bedroom took full advantage of the House's lavish quarters. Altogether, despite a few strange happenings, the unshared sentiment was that the House wasn't yielding the excitement it had promised from outside. Warren wandered back into the entrance hall, yawning, and waved to Randal, who was leaning over something in the corner. Randal was distracted and failed to notice, so Warren padded over to join the taller man. As he stepped closer, Warren turned, and Randall was struck immediately by the paleness of his friend's face. Then he noticed what had been occupying Warren's attention, and the color drained from him as well. A body lay there, evidently strangled to death, given the deep bruising present on its neck. As the other explorers trickled in, they each saw the body in turn, and a shocked silence prevailed over the entrance hall. Some time after everyone had gathered together, a rather stuffy voice spoke up. "My friends, I believe this is what they called a 'locked house mystery,'" Harley said. The secretary had donned a deerstalker hat, which made him reasonably convincing as a detective figure. "As our good friend Randal showed last night, the door doesn't open, and I at least was unable to find a single window large enough to leave from. Thus," and he swept his hand out grandly, "the killer must be one of us!" "Or the butler!" another voice chimed in. "It couldn't have been the butler!" someone else shouted. "The dead fellow's got marshmallow stains on his neck. Whoever the killer was, they had some s'mores with us last night." And then it was if a dam had burst for all the voices that began to speak up, each with their own thoughts on the situation. Harley tried to reassert his "expertise" to gain control of the conversation, but enough of a hubbub was building that his rather quiet voice was drowned out. The Haunt has begun! An unnamed friend was killed! He was an Innocent Explorer. Day 1 has begun, and will end at 8PM Pacific Time on Monday, April 20. There will be a majority execution this cycle. There is no vote minimum, and ties will be decided randomly. All GM PMs have been updated. The value of C, the chance of finding a clue from the pool of clues for the scenario the game is in, is 65%. Night 0: A Warm Welcome The campfire is warm, and the s'mores are tasty. Apparently you weren't the only person itching to check out the house on the hill, given the rather lively crowd that has joined you. You swap stories with the folks sitting to either side and mostly avoid getting your hands too sticky from marshmallows as evening settles in. One-by-one, the conversations around the fire begin to die down, and an oppressive silence builds across the courtyard. Who will go in first? The question, though unspoken, can be felt by everyone present. As if in response to the rising tension, the doors of the House swing silently open, just as the sun begins to dip below the horizon. A well-dressed older man steps out and beckons you to come into the entry hall, which is clearly lit. Startled, you rise to your feet, catching the attention of your new friends, who turn and see the man as well. Emboldened by the company and your own itching curiosity, you find yourself stepping forward, your mouth opening to ask who he is, though the question dies on your lips as he smiles and answers before you can even ask. "My name is ____. I've been instructed to make you all feel at home until the morning. There's food in the kitchen, if you can find it, though I see you are already well-provisioned. Similarly, there are beds aplenty. Oh, one more thing. I've prepared a gift for you. My master doesn't know about it, and there is only one." He holds up a sealed box of dark wood with an ornate sigil inscribed on the lid. "Let me know who I should give it to before the night is over." You enter the House first, surprised by how cozy it feels inside. The tiled floor is covered with rugs to either side, and warm lights illuminate several hallways that turn off into unseen parts of the building. The ceiling of the room seems a bit too high to leave space for the second-floor windows you saw from outside, but it's hard to tell for sure. Your companions file in around you, each as anxious to take a look around as you are. The butler departs down one of the many passageways, mentioning some business he has to take care of. As he turns a corner out of sight, the thought crosses your mind that you can't remember his name. That's odd. You were certain he introduced himself. Oh well. Time to see what secrets this old place is hiding. Some folks are pairing up, but you want your first discovery all to yourself. In the now-empty entrance hall, the doors swing silently shut. Night 0 has begun, and will end at 8PM Pacific Time on Saturday, April 18. GM PMs will be going out, but as of now they don't contain any player specific information. PMs are open, but must be 1-1, and should also include myself, @coco.pudding, @little wilson, and @|TJ|. The thread for this cycle is RP only, but PMs can be in or out of character as you prefer. Don't forget to submit your exploration order and your gift vote before the end of the Night. Player List:
