Current Tally: Meta-al (1) Willa (1) No Kill (5) Peng (1) Morgan Hanks (1) Quitania (1) Aonar (1) Lucky (1) Seems like there is not much we can to to cause a kill at this point, which may be a good thing.

Koll I think that we should have some tentative ideas spreading around during the first day, even if we don't kill anyone. Now, since the Riots and the Set all want to toast each other, my team is supposed to act as a kind of mediator as I see it. The Kandra are going to want to remove the people with powers, but IMO they will target the Riots so that the Set can grab up some spikes that the kandra can later steal. So, if we do have a kill today, it should be someone from the Set like Lucky.
-
I'm going to hazard a guess of 4-6 Kandra this game, since I think each group will have one (most likely) and maybe a group will have 2-3 after last game where each house only having 1 skaa led to a noble advantage. I think a no kill is ultimately to our advantage, but lets see what red: Koll has to say about it. Edit: Just because I'm corrupt doesn't mean that I'm also worthless... It takes a lot of pull to become a politician, if you know what I mean. (My "team" does have access to powers, just can't spike or survive random kills.)

Araris has a cooler name and he can turn himself to metal. If I was going to admire one person from the whole series it would be him. I also prefer how his character develops over time, since I haven't ever seen a person with all of the problems he encounters. Fidelias is just a spy that acts on misinformation and destroys his future, then spends the whole series trying to make it up in secret.

It appears that I will not have access to the Internet this weekend, so if people don't want me to play, then I'll step out, although I think I will just end up missing 1 night cycle or something.

Araris Valerian is signing up as himself. Its time to break my 1-0 streak and 100% survival rate. I'm not on vacation this time around, so hopefully I can be that much more involved in searching out family lines or, in this case, gang affiliations. Araris paused as he gazed over the sprawling city of Elendel. He was curious why the inhabitants of this town carried no swords, or even any weapons that were clearly obvious. Surely whatever means they had of protecting themselves was insignificant when compared to the strength of cold steel of his blades.

Perhaps another explanation is that instant hemalurgic transference is separate from the elapsed time equation. For example, if using the spike immediately like in making an inquisitor has a 99% power transfer rate but leaving it out of a body for an infinitely small amount of time causes a reduction to 80% transference, which then begins to decay exponentially. The two methods are distinguished at least in that the size of the spike only matters in delayed spikings, so perhaps they also have a different "base rate" of efficiency.

Long Game 7: The Annealing of Luthadel
Araris Valerian replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I would like to point out that through Cat's contact with Ren I learned that both Jae and Kaldin are confirmed by the Genie to be nobles, so if we don't get a confirmed skaa tonight or there is a 5th one then taking down 2 confirmed nobles wouldn't be that great of an idea. Edit: I'm the Genie btw for anyone who doesn't know yet. The skaa either already know this or it won't really help them to, since they hopefully will only get 1 kill action left this game.- 657 replies

Long Game 7: The Annealing of Luthadel
Araris Valerian replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I'm pretty sure Preservation is the resident cognitive shadow right now, and he got toasted by Ruin pretty hard. Might not be the safest thing for you. If only I had a couple coinshots, I could lynch the last skaa and shoot any competing noble houses for the win. I am actually kind of impressed that a house would have tried a pact with the skaa, and that they never revealed that they ha one in their house or anything. I actually suspect that someone in the "chain" of Mesist is a traitor, and sprung this on us to make a bid for soloing everyone. Either that, or there were 5 skaa and we are all going to be doomed pretty soon.- 657 replies

Long Game 7: The Annealing of Luthadel
Araris Valerian replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Ok, so for the informant info: Night 1: Gave my metal and asked about Cat and Quite, learned Cat's house and my house power, then Wyrm told me Cat's metal since I already knew her house Night 2: Gave my house and asked about Finch and Kas, learned Finch is in a minor house and Kas's house Night 3 and on: Became House Lord, used my power every night from here.- 657 replies

Long Game 7: The Annealing of Luthadel
Araris Valerian replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Hadrian strode into Keep Cett and announced, "I vote for red: Lord Tuy! I said we should take down a house lord on day 1 and still think we should! His house is the only one the skaa haven't gone after."- 657 replies

Araris Valerian replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Thirteen of us left, and probably 2 skaa. If the skaa have a Coinshot then we could be down to 11 in the morning. While we are still somewhat comfortable, we should start thinking about just who is left and whether or not we can trust people that we have up to this point. It would be fun if the nighttime thread actually was used for something a little more solid. Maybe, we could play "Guess Who's Sleeping" and whoever gets the most votes oversleeps and misses the next ball or something.- 657 replies

Araris Valerian replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I'm gonna vote for Kaldin! Actually, I would like to start by voting for red: Lord Tuy, since his great house is the only one that hasn't seen any attacks and he's been a bit quiet. I don't know who we should lynch at this point, but I think it is something we should consider when deciding.- 657 replies

Long Game 7: The Annealing of Luthadel
Araris Valerian replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Hadrian left the ball in high spirits. While he had initially doubted that Kassel fellow, it seemed the man was loyal enough to organize a chain of informants capable of searching through even the murkiest bloodlines. Unfortunately, the skaa had always been most active in the night, and they now had a chance to find any weak links in Kassel's sources. Lets keep this up guys, maybe all of the quiet people are skaa, although I hope the next time I cover someone in ashes they give a slightly more convincing reaction.- 657 replies

Araris Valerian replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Well, I'm not gonna be able to make any more posts in this cycle, but it seems that Wandrin isn't really leaning towards contributing, so my vote is going to be my final decision for today. In the rare event that I can post more this cycle, Wandrin, you should at least contribute something while you are on to say that you are here. We need all the help we can get, so convince me to vote otherwise.- 657 replies

Long Game 7: The Annealing of Luthadel
Araris Valerian replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Hadrian noticed a man walk into the keep and find a seat quietly in a corner, red: Wandrin. He asked a nearby skaa servant to fetch one of the sacks he'd had filled a previous night, then waited patiently for the boy to return. When the servant returned, Hadrian hefted the bag in his hand, then chucked it with all of his strength at Wandrin's head. "You have been as silent as a skaa! Well, now you look like one too!" The sack collided directly with Wandrin's head and exploded into a cloud of ash, while Wandrin's expression morphed into one of rage and he stood to address the accusation. @Ren, several of your questions will be answered if you ask the informant about me, but I would prefer you only spend time on that if it is really important to you. Suffice it to say that Cat stepping down dealt with what Ashette was worried about. Even if Mesist and others are suspicious in chat, we need to focus on inactivity right now, since part of the reason behind Tonul dying was that nobody gave any info that could validate what he said or help explain why he did what he did.- 657 replies

Long Game 7: The Annealing of Luthadel
Araris Valerian replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Hadrian sighed. He had never wanted to be the lord of a Great House, especially now when 2 had died in less than half a week. Moving into Keep Elariel was another issue; there were FAR too many people around for his own liking and most of them skaa. He respected the skaa, in a way, for being as hardy as they were. However, he also knew firsthand how ruthless they could be, especially with the power of the mists and Allomancy behind them. Well Tonul, good game. We really need to spend more time discussing and doing analysis and avoid early votes so that we don't have to scramble at the last minute to avoid a tie. I feel that with an extra 24 hours or even another couple of people contributing to the conversation, somebody could have brought something up to defend him. We should look at who avoided this last day IMO since Tonul ha already given us enough rope to hang him with.- 657 replies

Long Game 7: The Annealing of Luthadel
Araris Valerian replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I think this is a misunderstanding caused by the informants: I don't think that saying somebody was rioted can be put into the informant. Rather, you can say that you targeted someone with your metal. If Tonul told the informant that Jain was rioted, the GM might have changed that to the valid truth that Tonul targeted Jain, which is what Mesist pulled out of the pool. So, Wyrm, is it a valid truth action to say someone got targeted by a metal without including the person who did the action? Also, we need a lynch, and I'm gonna be offline for the rest of this cycle probably, so Green: Ash Red: Tonul- 657 replies

Long Game 7: The Annealing of Luthadel
Araris Valerian replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
They are. But your plan, if it somehow doesn't follow my chronology above, must rely on the skaa doing something beside random kills, which, after reading these last several posts, they know is a good way to let us kill 6 of ourselves. Your plan seems that it must have some way to stop the skaa from killing the new house lord, so why would they even try? If I was a skaa and Cat got lynched, I would kill someone random or with a dangerous metal or dangerous info, and let everyone else kill the new lord and then you for being wrong. Btw, if I am a skaa, and I understand how your plan works, then all the skaa know and it won't work. I see zero reason to follow this plan through. Tell us who said that Cat was suspicious and let us lynch them maybe.- 657 replies

Long Game 7: The Annealing of Luthadel
Araris Valerian replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Ok, Ash, assuming that you are a well intending noble and that your plan is mostly based upon a member of your house and their suspicions, you have a decent chance of being wrong. Lets follow that scenario out: Cat dies Random person gets killed by skaa New lord/lady dies from lynch to save the power Random person gets killed by skaa We lynch you because your plan was a bad idea Skaa get a 6th free kill So, if your plan is wrong but well intended, the skaa get 6 free kills. I say that's a pretty bad scenario, which is why I voted for you.- 657 replies

I know with 100% certaintity that Cat used the Truth action for the informant on night 1, which doesn't line up with the only other skaa we've seen. I want more justification for this "plan" so RED: Ash- 657 replies
