  1. @Winter: I don't think inactivity is really that good of a strategy. While the shards could hide this way, the eliminators could as well. The only difference is that if only these two groups stayed inactive then the eliminators would know exactly who to target to remove investitures. I think a general rule of thumb is don't be inactive. As for the Ruin kill, last game inactives didn't contribute much to the game at all, so killing them then or now probably wouldn't accomplish much. That being said, last game did have several people assuming that at least one inactive was a spiked, so using the Ruin kill could avoid having to worry in a similar situation.
  2. If you like board games and are willing to spend a bit of time, there is a great one called Eclipse: New Dawn for the Galaxy. The physical version is a bit spends but it's available on iPad for like seven dollars and plays really well.
  3. I would just like to say thanks to Meta for GMing this game and that the spiked were pretty dang lucky with that night 3 kill. Just saying, I had Unodus dead to rights and 2 soothers on my team. But everything after that the spiked played very well and deserved to win all the way.
  4. Aranad Longbeard is a scholarly old fellow that has begun a research project on why pizza lowers intelligence by 95%. Odium must be stopped or the cosmere will never be freed of poisonous foods.
  5. All of these reasons are spawned from an oppressive society that despises those of us that excel in every way. I look down upon all of you, and you look up to me in turn. Edit: Wookies are WAY cooler than ewoks, just saying.
  6. Think, think, think.

  7. Disembodied Voice: I'm not a ghost. I'm still a seeker, and there are no Koloss coming. That sword didn't even cut me... there's no way I can be dead. I'm glad everyone has given up on this nonsense about an invading army, so there will be no more senseless deaths in our town. I bet all of those people that I seeked found some way to kick me out of my body so that I couldn't berate them for not participating enough. Well townsfolk, it didn't work. Aralis the Cognitive Shadow will haunt you until this town has been cleansed of pizza and foolishness. At least that Rent fellow had the decency to leave us alone. *extended period of silence* "You would think that if a guy has the decency to stick around after being ruthlessly kicked out of his body then at least someone would be so kind as to give a scream, or at least faint..."
  8. I'm in a similar situation. I have lots of time to post usually, but I get things said and then click the refresh button every 10 minutes. The only time that I have been lynched was because Wilson is evil and people thought that my playstyle was off, but I don't see too much in that. I don't see myself as having a playstyle and half of the players in this game are in their 1st, 2nd or 3rd games. That's why its a bit frustrating that so many people are so silent. If those people end up being the only ones left then they will struggle to accomplish as much simply because of a lack of communication.
  9. I feel like this game would be so much fun as a rioter. Especially if you were spiked or were in a seeker group, you would have tons of influence as far as what goes on. So I guess this means that either myself or somebody else wanted Wyrm dead, although there wouldn't be too much point in me using my power for that if I could just retract my vote the vanilla way.
  10. For me to be a rioter, I would have had to rioted somebody that was also soothed, since everyone's vote except mine is where it should be. I don't think that really works out either, unless I rioted myself or something. Meta, is there a way to riot someone and lose your own vote without changing theirs?
  11. I was definitely soothed. I am in contact with someone that says that they soothed Wilson, but that PM came late enough last night that the order might not have gone through.
  12. Renegade, I retracted my vote this cycle btw. Eol, if he is spiked, probably wanted somebody that could back up what he was doing without implicating a second spiked person in the plot. Kas can't really do much about that situation anymore. I agree with Wyrm, we are focusing nearly all of our discussion on Eol and I think that it is time for us to find out what is really up with him. From there, we can work with who defended him/argued for his death since we have lots of posts in that area.
  13. Well, my opinion is that Kas was killed because his disagreement with Hero was generating a lot of voting and discussion and other useful things. My top two suspicions are of Hero, for all of the reasons that have already been stated, and for Eol, because even if wilson would have thrown him under the bus for pulling a stunt like that, that was the response everyone gave him. He got several votes in a very short period of time. Then, when he gave his explanation, everyone's opinions changed, so if the spiked still were upset with him, splitting away from everyone like that would mark them as off. Regardless of how many people Eol guess incorrectly with, he almost certainly learned some info from his experiment, and the arguments about suiciding a player to gain info like that that were made during the first cycle still apply to him, he just managed to avoid getting killed. I can come back online around 5:30 Pacific Time and then shortly before the cycle ends. Most likely I will vote for one of these two, even if it is last minute and decides a lynch.
  14. There is a button under each post that says quote, its in the bottom right hand corner of that post. I totally understand how you feel about school. I had a work period today for reading Handmaid's Tale and I spent it all reading posts in this thread instead.
  15. Maybe we should lynch you wilson, just so we don't have to read a massive wall of text every time you make a post .
  16. My vote on Hero was a response to the situation where Hero and Eol were the two main suspects and if we had a lynch at that moment in time then I preferred Hero. Eol was about to explain himself. That explanation got rid of the whole reason for my first vote since there was no longer a decision between 2 people. I also accept that Ostrich has done some more suspicious things since cycle one, I just wanted to see if you had any other reasons for voting that way. We need more discussion. The cycle isn't half over yet and we still haven't heard from several people so far.
  17. I am going to vote for Sarcomere. Hero is at the top of my suspect list, and you supported him, and the only support behind that was that he proclaimed his (supposed) innocence publicly. The next reason isn't really a good one, but you have also been active enough that I can expect a response to this post, which doesn't hold for some other people. Also, Ostrich, your first and only vote, was trying to get a group of people that could try and piece together what Eol was trying to do. I assume this is what you referred to in your post: His suggestions were in line with some other players and made pretty good sense in my mind, especially since we didn't know as a group by that time that nearly everyone had been contacted.
  18. I'm at school, so I don't have a super long time to look over things. I think part of the reason that Kas died was because of the discussion he and Hero generated with their disagreement. Getting rid of either one put a stop to that discussion and puts a measure of blame on the counterpart. That being said, I still put a large amount of suspicion on Hero. I'll try and list out everything that has been bugging me about him: The no-vote thing on the first day. People have no reason to respond and generate conversation if there isn't a serious threat of dying (especially the spiked). While the lynch itself isn't necessary, having one on the first day shows the rest of the players that a vote on them is something to respond to seriously. Repetition that he isn't spiked. This isn't really helpful, but it is a bit distracting and annoying. I also don't really like how you jumped to Eol right after the day was over. Any one of us, including you, could have made a similar decision. To tell the truth, I was considering voting for Eol right before the cycle ending to force a lynch and because he had been pretty suspicious. In my opinion, the spiked wouldn't have risked losing 1/5 or 1/6 of their members for a single kill. Also, what you said right at the start of this cycle. You immediately said that Kas's death would likely lead to yours, which then puts the first person to vote for you in an uncomfortable position. All of that being said, Hero already has a vote on himself so we don't really need to add another one right now. Pretty much everyone that I suspect has been voted for actually. Okay, I'm out of time, so wilson, why didn't you give more of a response to what dowanx said?
  19. @Ash: You should really RP yourself as a ruthless character, and then it would probably come much easier. Just find a thread that someone argued with you in or someone that killed you in a previous game and make up something about why they should be killed today. If you claim to be a seeker, you probably would be believed long enough to pull of the kill. You have to have some sort of discontented feelings towards at least one of us.
  20. @Ren: I mentioned that in my post where I voted for Hero, that we still had around 24 hours to discuss things. However, if the cycle had ended at that point in time then that's where I wanted my vote to be. I do disagree with the conclusions that Hero has reached, although the points he brings up are valid. Since the eliminators have more information than us, we should force them to use that info so that we gain some access to it as well. @Ash: Not voting can be the same as pulling the trigger yourself since you can have the power to save or sink somebody. I suppose that my original reason for voting for Hero is gone, so I need to find someone else. I'm not quite sure what is up with Kas. We just had a decently long discussion about eliminators and suiciding, which could be popping up again (Kas is a spiked tineye that wants to be dead). One thing that I am kind of surprised hasn't seen too much attention in the thread is the Wilson/Claincy strategy with decently sized group PMs. My group had a little talk about our opinions of the effectiveness of communicating like that, and I have seen several people saying that the bulk of conversation should go in the thread since the spiked work best in secrecy. One thing that I am considering is whether or not we should let everyone know who is in what group so the whole village can be a little more involved with using those PMs to the best for the whole group. My vote will go on Jasnah for now, since she has a history of not doing very much of anything, and hasn't even read the PM that Wilson and Claincy started with her.
  21. Well, my username is Araris Valerian, and I'm actually a little disappointing that I didn't get a message from you. I applaud your bravery to attempt something like this; its a really creative way to go about doing things, if you are doing what you say you are. My personal opinion is that it makes no sense for the spiked to suicide someone unless they are a tineye that they want to get rid of, which can wait until the other tineyes are dead and also would probably involve the suicidee going along somewhat with the plot. I would also like to point out that gauging the reactions of players would be as much or more helpful to the eliminators than to a villager. I do think that asking after a role that is important does more to figure out things than asking after a role such as being a thug. Unfortunately, the eliminators have probably been able to figure out a bit more about what roles people have now as a result of this.
  22. As best as I can tell, the current vote count is as follows: Herowannabe (3): Renegade, Kasimir, Araris Valerian Jain (1): Wyrmhero Eolhandras (3): Mailliw73, ostrichofevil, mckeedee123 Dom (1): lord Claincy Ffnord I don't think that killing Eol at this point is an imperative, mostly we have a decent reason to think he is spiked but since he doesn't have a dangerous role (if we are right) then killing him will waste our lynch for one day. I think that it is probable that the spiked have at least one emotional allomancy role, so if they want Eol to die then we would have to go out of our way to save him. We still have around 24 hours to discuss (right?), so for now I will put a vote on Herowannabe for the following reasons: 1: Not voting is close to as unhelpful as not talking at all. You could at least have said that you would wait and see before you placed your vote. 2: Eol, if we are correct about him, is probably going to die if there is a tie vote involving him. I think that we can spend our lynch in better places. 3: Eol has said that he can give us some info on why he did what he did I still think that Eol is a perfectly viable lynch target. When his vote is close to one of an innocent, the spiked could (again, under the assumption they have a soother/rioter) just force the vote onto the villager and we would learn nothing. I guess what I'm trying to say is that by then end of the cycle we need to have a clear idea of who we are going to lynch so that nobody plays tricks with us.
  23. I assume that the 3 hands means that there were three people with tin last night. I would guess that we have 1 tineye and at least 2 mistborn, although the chances of them both getting tin seem a little low to me. Another possibility that I don't think is too likely is that the spiked have a tineye on their side. I'm not too sure how that would work out, but I assume that once the village tineye was removed that person could suicide and try to bring someone else down to remove the PM function from the game. I suspect that the spiked have a mistborn, which would explain that last message, although it does seem a bit weird. There isn't much of a reason to reveal something like that, although it isn't that helpful for us to know. On the other hand, somebody good could just be trolling us. As far as voting goes, Alvron didn't post last cycle so his death doesn't really give us much to act off of. I'll spend a bit more time looking through the ideas and suggestions people had before I actually place a vote.
  24. "Of course my eyesight is failing! The mark of true wisdom is the loss of vision. I can't believe what I said to you there. Dirty tavern is such an oxymoron. Usually I'm much more careful with my speech. I might think better of your establishment if you stopped allowing foreign type disgusting foods to be displayed and eaten though."
