  1. I was familiar with only a few of these WoBs, so thank you! =)
  2. Well, if you're rabid for Sanderson, you've certainly come to the right place! There's a topic on the Lift Interlude, though it got hi-jacked quite early on. Maybe you can set us straight =P You should also take a look into the discussion on the new and updated synopsis for the Words of Radiance. Minor spoilers for some unreleased chapters though. And finally, if you're interested in reading more chapters from WoR, you can find a transcriptions of readings of the book here, and if you do the Shardhunt, you'll find an unreleased Kaladin chapter that you're absolutely going to love! And welcome to the forum! May you waste many an hour scouring the fora for more and ever so MOAHR (!!!) Sanderson.
  3. The Lord Ruler. I doubt it, but I wanted to get in a last guess before going to bed. EDIT: Actually, I think the Emperor from the Emperor's Soul would fit better.
  4. Let's just say that there is nothing weird to it. If you see it in the book it'll have a nice symmetry to it, that's all. The real interesting thing is how the map of Shadesmar is the inverse of the map of Roshar.
  5. "Great minds think alike".
  6. Um, dude? This is from the hard-cover flap illustrations and is most certainly canon. Or are you being sarcastic?
  7. The key might be with "set-up" and intention. He would be warned about almost any kind of planned assassination, but in the case of his death, Megan only reacted to something he did. His powers probably did warn him about her sudden plan to shoot him after he'd jumped, but by then it was already too late.
  8. Oh, I think you'll find most men quite generous in certain kinds of bodily donations. EDIT: Neptune's beard, I cannot believe I actually wrote that...
  9. In all honestly, I don't really think Taravangian fits the profile of a KR. No, I think our the Bondsmith is Dalinar, even though I do not want t to be. I'll keep my mind open for the reading though. It might in the end turn out to be even more awesomer than a Stoneward! (Also, pretty sure it's Stoneward, even though -warden sounds cooler)
  10. The magic system is great and conforms real well with the more complex and technical magic system of AonDor (and probably Sel in general). But I don't want to spoil it to you, so I shan't go into it. Suffice it to say, that I to had my doubts before I actually read it. Just get through the first few chapters (as with any book, really), and you'll find, maybe not his best book all-in-all, but an exiting one and almost certainly his most well written one.
  11. Wait, where is it indicated that his minions have Shardblades too? Darkness certainly had, but I can't remember any indication that his fellow constables had. Also, I always though Natans was referring to Darkness as "Blackie" because of his all-black costume. I had completely forgotten that he was of dark skin as well.
  12. I really want the Bondsmith to be Taravangian, because I want Dalinar to be a Stonewarden. But if that was so, why leave Dalinar out of the blurb and then incluse Mr. T?
  13. Well, there's that Really Bad Shard Ideas Thread, which is fun, and the Three Word Story one. Other than that, I think most of us are pretty open to suggestions =)
  14. I think there could be enough excess power around for Devotion to be reformed without killing the Seons. She/he would be a lot weaker, though.
  15. It doesn't really like the artist knows much about the character at all.
  16. Good to know.
  17. O_o !!!!!!!! I never thought of that! Plus, Brandon has let us know that it is a quirk of Feruchemy that lets him know where to go and when to be there.
  18. Brandon doesn't like having official drawings of his characters, so it was definitely not by his commission or initiative.
  19. That would make more sense. I wonder if you could, by the same logic, hypothetically use a Shardplate as a metalmind. Given, it is by no means certain that a Plate is made of metal in the first place - even less so the right kinds of metal - but the question is more theoretical than practical anyway. Would a Shardplate - being more or less nothing but Investiture if we are right about what Brandon is hinting at - still treat a feruchemical charge as orthogonal?
  20. Both!
  21. MOAHR, plz, MOAHR WAYNE!
  22. I seem to remember that the Inquisitors of WoA or at least HoA did use their spikes as metalminds. I might remember this wrong, though, because it strikes me as rather odd that Feruchemy would not conflict with the Investiture of the Hemalurgic spike.
  23. Dammit, I only got to be a Worldhopper for one day!

  24. I doubt he would send the Lerasium away, especially considering it is probably the last bead of it in existence. Besides, his Letter to his Dragon friend (yeah, I think were past the point were we can start feeling comfortable taking it for granted that he wrote it) kind of makes it sound like he's already consumed it: Also, we now have a word of that Atium isn't used for entering Shadesmar. That isn't to say it cannot be used to track someone Worldhopping, but it makes it seem less likely.
