They use both West/East and Leeward/Stormward. The full map of Roshar use the latter, but they are the same.

Theory: Shardblades Barely Harm Infused Surgebinders
Aether replied to Moogle's topic in Stormlight Archive
He didn't say Shardblade in particular. I think it was more intended to mean that a strong spirit could resist emotional and cognitive manipulation, such as Soothing and Rioting. I do not think that a strong spirit would provide any sort of protection against a Blade. -
Well, very close at least. Though with Lists we're more or less supposed to make a lot of sound. I shall proudly make this part of my Signature, somehow!

I am not sure people associate Szeth with the Parshendi any more. At least it never really showed when they talked about his latest exploits, but then again, his ties to them was iffy in the first place.

No problem! New Threads and discussions on old subjects do show up from time to time, but sometimes it is fun to go back and look at the older ones.

Actually, yes. Especially considering there was quite a few embarrassing mistakes in the last one. But of course, dear Apprentice! I am not entirely sure what you wish for your Lists to convey, but let us start with saying that the order of which you write up things can have a huge impact on how that Lists will be read and understood! Clever colour-coding can also produce some fun effects. Work with it earnestly, and let the Survivor guide your quill.

This topic has been thoroughly discussed in other Threads, notably in my own Reviving a dead topic: Szeth's Shardblade is an Honourblade.

The trick is not to make the Lists lie, but to make them tell your particular kind of truth.

Yeah, sorry about that. I changed my vote in my List, but forgot to officially do so. I too got rather drunk last night, and I've had *cough* company tonight, so I haven't been paying as much attention to the game as I normally would have. I bestow upon you, little wilson, the Magnificent Title of List-Maker Apprentice. With this, I hereby give you leave to create your own Lists or add to my own (especially when I am myself knocked out cold.........). May Thine Systematic and Orderly Cataloguing be inspired and thorough!

I'll let these small spelling mistake Slide. Though you should Seek to not make similar ones in the future.

You did a great job with that list, Wilson, so I begrudgingly gave you an up-vote for it too. I still have a longer history of List making, though, so I am not yet ready to give up my self-proclaimed Master of Lists title! Where? . . Also, List updated with new developments. EDIT: Dang, Wilson, you beat me to the updates too!

I think it could be, at least indirectly. I do not think a major event is necessary to break a soul. I am open to the idea that it can be a gradual thing as well, such as being back-talked and belittled his entire life outside of his family. In Renarin's particular case, I do not think this have had any major lasting effect on his soul, but it could on other people.

And if there are Mistings for this, would they be called "Fab's"? (as in short for Fabulous?) EDIT: And hey! My number of posts is a palindrome again! (1111)

Welcome to the forum! I hope we'll see you around here too. I am not familiar with our policies on self-promotion, you'll have to ask the admins for that, but I wouldn't think it is worth a down-vote anyway. I gave you an up-vote to balance it out.

I more or less agree with this statement. As stated before, what Amaram did was horrible, but circumstantial evidence suggest that he might have (or at least feel like he had) been forced to do it. While this still does not make what he did OK, I am just to not out-right lynch him before we get more information on it.

As far as we know, Taravangian had nothing to do with Gavilar's assassination. Szeth's Oathstone was in the Parshendi's possession at the time - not Taravangian's - and they publicly admitted to having sent him after Gavilar.

I liked it! In fact, I might Return later to laugh at it even more.

I didn't count Lift because the book its from isn't officially released yet. And also because it messed up the calculation.

I approve of this list! I have to admit, though, that I feel slightly sad that you've gotten almost more reputation from this one try than I have gotten from all of mine put together ! ='( . Sorry guys, I've had a lot of work to do and haven't been able to join back in before now. I am not too happy voting for Wes, but that has more to do with out-of-game reasons. And especially since this is his first game, I think we should give him at least one more day. . So, to review the votes: Wes (5) - Gamon, Peng, Barty, Kukri, Olliver, Shimble, Lucy, Ridge, Quillion (1) - Vron, Maxill, Aonar, Wilson, Wes Kukri (0) - Wes Shimble (9) - Herwynbe, Aonar, Aspren, Quillion, Vron, Eddy, Wilson, Maxill, Aether, No one (2) - Aspren, Wilson, Seran, Aonar, Herwynbe, Cessie, Aether. Currently not voting (7) - Digits, Mathieu, Roban, Shiv, Grave, Dyring, Windy I might have missed one or two, as I haven't gone through our actions as thoroughly as I've done in the past (seriously, I logged on to 5 more pages!). I must admit I am rather torn. I do note really want to force (or help creating) a tie, but I do not want to vote for Wes either (again, for out-of-game reasons). I am just going to go ahead and officially vote for no one, but that will change if the majority shifts. May the survivor guide our decision! EDIT: Updated the List. EDIT 2: Updated with corrections. EDIT 3: Updated.

What bothers me the most with the suggestion that it is a Shardblade that is glowing from inside the safe is that it would have to be really big or excessively long to fit it. Those things are huge, and I am not entirely certain it would be safe to keep it there. Having a strongbox seems kind of useless when its contents are likely to cut it open from the inside.
