Those writing lectures are the best. I haven't gotten far into them but they are packed with good writing tips. hmmm it is an interesting quirk to have. very unique. Brandon does an excellent job with his characters
  3. but no, when I said distrustful I was not thinking of Shallan
  4. distrustful Edit: I decided to change it name like a choke
  5. I would awaken a flame thrower and use it to destroy bad government. The flames would be black and would turn anything they touched into smoke. booya!
  6. Wow, it is surprising how many names I actually got right for how fast I breezed over them. I breezed over Taravangian a little too fast though and I never really decided how I thought it sounded until I actually read the name and payed attention to it. it was always T*****v*****g*****=old king who hires assasins
  7. Well, Me and some cousins were telling each other about favorite books. We turned off all the lights and they told me about a wondrous place where mists come out at night and the people run and hide. But they also told me of the fabled Mistborn and their powers. Then they told me of a dark eyed man who has nothing but bad luck. it was almost like they were lightweaving. I had a dozen pictures painted in my mind about the setting and the magic and I have been captivated by Sanderson's books ever since. The first Mistborn book was the first Sanderson book I read and I loved it.

Also, what is up with Wayne being allowed to steal accents. Does he actually steal accents or is that just the way he sees it. is it just a character quirk that he borrows everything else instead of simply stealing it?

I asked Brandon to write something about Wayne in my copy of the Alloy of Law. This is what he wrote Remember, Wayne is a Terrisman. He compared Wayne to a non-practicing Jew. What do you guys think he meant?

  14. I didn't think it was Cosmere.
  15. look at this I am guessing that He Is Honor the almighty I think that Cultivation influences some of the bonding. She wouldn't be able to control the spren that become non sentient because they wouldn't remember a thing. However, she might be able to influence who they are drawn to. Syl seems to have no recollection of the Nightwatcher or Cultivation. I think that the spren that do retain memories are loyal to the Nightwatcher like a child to the mother. They would want to follow her wishes. The ring noticed that Lift had her blessing and so they decided to send Wyndle to her. It is possible that this is a situation a lot like the Kandra. Many hadn't ever seen the first generation. The ring might be just as much at a loss about what their Mother wants. Here is another thought, though, we may already know this. Maybe the only spren that can bond are the mixture of both.

  17. Are you two saying that getting shot by a sniper is worse then getting your skull and brain completely crushed? That would be enough to kill anyone else instantly and yet Limelight survives.
  18. I think smelling good should be a talent. He could rival Alcatraz Also, here is another connection. knights radiant have access to three abilities. You could call him a Knight Knack.
  19. I'll bet that Lift would be able to see and interact with Stephen Leeds hallucinations. Oh what I would give to sread that....
  20. This story was beautifully put together and although I love the tech system I think it was meant to stay short. For some reason making it longer would take away from the wonder of the story.
  21. I think that the best part was where
  22. I just had a thought, If you had a remarkable amount of breath, you could make a thunderclast. How powerful would that be. An awakened giant stone creature. would if have powers similar to knightbloods? You could even instill it with the command to bring desolation every once in a while if you were skilled enough. I also noticed that thunderclasts are a lot like Kalad's Phantoms. The reason the phantoms work is because they have bones inside of them allowing them to become really tough lifeless. I think that because of the material thunderclasts are made of, Odium is enabled to manipulate and create them using his own type of spren
