So here are two odd things about Szeth. 1. he doesn't have a bond to a spren possibly because of a connection with odium 2. He is a truthless Now, we have no Idea what a truthless is but I think that these two oddities might be connected. The Shin seem to try to be just as anti Odium as the Parshendi are worshipful of him. I think that maybe they somehow realized that he wasn't bonded to a spren and thus saw his powers as fake and false. So they called him a truthless. Could there be two kinds of every order or Knight radiant. There are the versions that are bonded to Spren, ( this seems to be controlled by the night watcher, probably Cultivation. But I think that Odium has a counterpart to these. I think it is a lot like how hemalurgy was fueled by Ruin and normal genetic allomancy was fueled by preservation. I think that there are different ways to receive radiant powers but if you receive those powers through Odium he gains influence over you. I also have some questions Spren can be killed. So what happens to a Radiants powers if the spren is killed during the bond? I assume it is the same as what happens to the spren when the human dies. But hey, I could be wrong. Maybe that is how Szeth has powers with no spren though I highly doubt it. I also have a terrible theory that I hate very much. I do not believe that this theory is correct whatsoever. Syl will die Evidence supporting 1. Spren can die 2. there are ways to retain you Radiant powers without a spren (so Kaladin could keep his powers. making it more plausible) 3.Brandon loves torturing his readers, giving lots of surprises, and he loves killing main characters. Evidence against all the 17th sharders would be so sad that we would all change our names to Syl for an entire year and change our profile pictures to match. This would cause immense chaos confusion because everyone would be the same. the 17 shard would crash and Sanderson would lose his best fan-site. I think it is more likely that Brandon will kill Wyndle

Wax does wear goggles at one point in the book and Wayne wears a hat so... I guess this is a lot like the Brazilian cover for Mistborn where Kelsier is fighting five inquisitors at the same time.
-
Another question I had but forgot to ask this. If the first picture is Wax and the second picture is Wayne, (sorry about the blurry photo) then why is Wayne holding a gun?
-
You probably already knew this would be a RAFO. I guessed that it would be. In fact I think that someone has already asked it. The question was why are spren so disturbed about shardblades? He said read book two and find out. Did we already know that we were going to find out in book two? If not, at least I accomplished something.

Sorry about the double post. This is new information so I think its valid this is a list I am working on filling out. I am hoping that the categories in the list will lend reality to the story. I don't have them all filled out yet but here is what i have so far. Magic system How light beams work A person who has absorbed their color of light can shoot straight beams of light along surfaces. If the beams hit and edge it is expelled as a colored dust. If it hits a wall you can decide which plane to direct the light beam. They can have it bounce or they can have it go up a wall. They manipulate the distance the beam travels and the place where light imparts its energy by envisioning it in their mind. So a violet eyes could harden a spot on the floor by imagining that spot as the endpoint of the light. So before starting the light beam they would imagine the angles at which the light would bounce in order to get it to its target. However, if they don’t fire the beam in the right way in order to copy the image in their head the beam will fizzle at the point where the actual light beam ceases to match the picture in the persons head. If a person is skilled enough they can change the picture to while the light is shooting in order to keep the light from fizzling. The farther you have to go to hit your target the less potent the energy will be when it hits the target. Rough surfaces make it harder to predict the pattern of the light. It also takes more energy. You can effect a distant target a lot if you put a lot of energy into the beam. If you stop feeding energy to the beam is turns into dust. It can affect organics. When it affects organics it takes more energy and leaves a dust. Also the use of beams uses the light that you have absorbed. you can not reabsorb energy once you have expelled it as a light beam. If you don't cut of the energy that is being fed to the beam before it uses it up, the beam will use your life force in order to reach its target. when it starts using your life force the beam will gradually change color. How the power works If someone directly touches someone or something to expel their power the effect is much more potent then a light beam. When someone uses the power on themselves they leave a dust trail. If an orange eyes uses the light to speed them self up they will eject particles of orange dust. It is thought that black eyes have to touch a person to suck out their light. If you are in a room that is the color of your eyes your power will not work. As I said before the eyes effect the color of light you can use. Paint A paint can be made from the dust residue left by colored eyes. The paint made from a color will reflect that color. The less dirt and other stuff the light has in it the better it will reflect that color. No matter what the light beams will bounce off of it. Black paint is extremely rare and difficult to see o find. It absorbs light beams. Environment Large trees The trees are big enough to mostly block sunlight. they also ext Swampy goopy ground Twin suns Normal sun White sun The normal sun is like our sun the white sun is smaller and closer and lets off very little heat but a lot of light. You know how one part of the year you can see Saturn because it rises at night but during the other part of the year you can't because it rises during the day. it would be the same with this sun except there would be one month a year where it would begin rising before the normal sun. At first a few minutes earlier until the middle of the month when it would rise and set before the normal sun by the end of the month the two suns would rise in unison and you would hardly be able to see it. It would orbit the normal sun on the inside of the planets orbit. You would only be able to absorb the light via prism house when the white sun rose alone. when they are both risen the light mixes and is impossible to absorb. on the one day when the white sun rises and sets before the normal sun rises would mark the beginning of each year. The cards are metal. Paper is useless in the humidity. Climate It would be very humid where the story takes place. Culture Currency and ID tracking The tracking system used for identification. When they come of age everyone is issued a finger stamp. this is like a thimble that is placed on ones finger and is worn everywhere they go. the finger translates the pattern of their DNA onto the material that the thimble is made out of. the thimble can only be made of certain materials. The thimbles must be specially made to do their job. Stone and metal are two of the materials. Most people use metal for convenience. the corner games use metal cards. Stone thimbles are going out of style. It is common to decorate the thimbles. Everyone has a different DNA pattern. the patterns are like symbols. When issuing a promise of money it is common to send it on a sheet of stone or metal with your stamp on it. This way you can be held accountable if you don't live up to your promise. Feathers For every Ten years of age, a woman gains a feather to put in her hair. The feathers are a sign of wisdom and are considered sacred. If someone has 7 feathers they are to be respected Corner games Corner games are like community gambling games. At street corners a table it set up with two our four player strategy games. any one can come and make a move on the board. however, the rules keep one person from making more then one move per game unless the game goes on for more then three days. they can also only vote for one side per game. They would use the finger thimble thingies to stamp a vote card. this would be called a finger vote. there would be different cards for each side. the person would have to submit two monetary units to make a vote and if the side they voted for wins they gain money. if the side they voted for loses they lose their money and it is divided up along with money from the other losing voters among the voters of the winning side. In order to retrieve your money you would use your finger stamp to stamp an kind of primitive ID card and the game overseer would inspect the symbol and then give you the money along with your voting card. Politics Only Grey eyes can hold political influence. it is said that since the colored eyes already have power they should not be allowed political power. Colored eyes can be part of nobility, but they are a different class of nobility and can hold no direct political influence and cannot become involved in politics. Grey eyes frequently hire colored eyes as protectors. Having many colored eye protectors is considered fashionable. It is a sign of wealth. Political opponents will try to bring each other to financial ruin or will try to damage each others reputation by attempting to buy off colored eye protectors. If a Grey eyes loses a colored eyes protector it is seen as a sign that the grey eyes cannot keep his own bodyguards. it is also seen that he did not treat the man properly. Also, trying to buy someones colored eyes forces the opponent to either up the colored eyes pay or lose some reputation. If he only ups the payment in small amounts at a time, he can be sure that his opponent will be willing to simply pay more. The Grey eyes could slowly lead his opponent to bankruptcy. (By the way, i am planning on coming up with different terms for Grey eyes and Colored eyes. Colored eyes is too awkward to even write) Cringes inwardly at all the time I wrote Colored eyes. Colored eyes and Grey eyes The two are equal in all ways except that colored eyes have powers. to balance that out they decided that political influence and power could only be held by Grey eyes. Life, creatures and races Derogatory terms For example: By the white sun! (they would have some cool name for it) Plot Characters

Nope, I showed up during the last 30 minutes and got RAFO'd. For some reason I have the overwhelming urge to frame the RAFO card and hang it up by the front door for all my visitors to see. I could also get Brandon's fingerprints highlighted and sell the card in 30 years for a couple thousand dollars....Yes I fervently believe he will become that famous.

I think you read the post before I modified it. I found the info confirming how Harmony can read minds. So I turned it into a post inviting ideas as to how other Shards figure out what people are thinking. This technique is a useful one and I don't see why a Shard wouldn't want to learn how to do it. However the modification creates a problem. Now the post extends past the Mistborn series and encompasses Cosmere material. It should probably be moved to the Cosmere section

A Unishard is a name I came up with to describe a single piece of Adonalsium. Harmony isn't a Unishard since he is a combination of two Shards. haha So there has been some confusion about how Harmony can read minds. This was already cleared up. (Thanks Kurk!) Holding both shards gave him abilities neither shard had alone. each shard had a piece of the ability to effect the cognotive realm. put them together and booya you have mind-reading ability But the other Shards don't seem to directly have that ability so I was thinking that maybe they read minds through reading faces. They might simply not even try to read minds, but I think it would be cool if Shards used this technique. Hoid was able to do it pretty well before he died and he didn't live for thousands of years. Even Midius could tell their emotions based on the faces. Shards have a lot longer to practice. It's possible that he could tell exactly what a person is thinking based off of the face. http://coppermind.net/wiki/Electronic_works#The_Liar_of_Partinel Here is a quote from the Liar of Partinel sample chapters. Thoughts?

Who actually went to the signing?
-
So maybe since lift can touch Wyndle ( in the cognotive realm) maybe she can also effect the spiritual realm. if so maybe she can use regrowth to heal a wound made by a shardblade
-
the cream of the cream of the crem. Is that supposed to mean the cream of the cream of the Crem? if so... Kaladin. since he is among the crem of the army and he is the cream of the crem to to speak
-
The names are just placeholders for now. I will be changing them. Thanks for the ideas from the misting chart
-
Yesteel? Since he is so good at awakening. or a returned with their ability to give their breath away to heal someone

A cloud fought its way through the sky with Cain riding like a titan on its surface. Throwing a dozen head sized lumps of rock into the air; he manipulated the particles of airborne water to catch the rocks in mid fall. The thick arms of cloud swirled around him pushing the rocks in a circle. People emptied the streets in the city below in a panic. To them it looked like a cloud the size of a large car was slowly moving towards them with mighty arms of water vapor swirling around the entire formation. Cain condensed the water in the air around him into cloud and the foundation beneath his feet. By constantly condensing and briefly compressing the cloud beneath his feet he was able stay atop the cloud. Water vapor flowed towards him making the effect that a funnel would. He was the opening and the gaseous water flowed to him, dropping from his feet as rain. In order to maintain the effect, he had to pull more water vapor into the cloud at the edges. Many of his kind chose to make an intimidating impression rather than to preserve the effectiveness of the cloud. They would make their cloud base up to the size of ten buildings put together. The result was that the humidity in the air was used up faster, not to mention the fact that it took a lot more effort. Wasted effort. When the vapor was gone they would drop from their throne above to collide with unfeeling mother earth. Smaller clouds lasted longer. As he approached the bright city he turned his attention to his spinning missiles. He sent 8 of them streaking towards the tallest building while keeping the other 4 in orbit around his cloud base. The eight projectiles struck the sky scraper near the middle of its expansive height. Solemnly, he watched as the middle of the palace exploded in a massive ball of fire. It was amazing what you could do to a building if you hit it in the right spot. He had made a calculated guess at where the huge mass of targeted cargo would be placed in the building. Upon the explosion, he knew he had been correct. Never, ever, stick that many explosives in a building. He thought. Several figures piled into the cities’ center Diamond, a large clearing in which the public executions were held. Arrows zipped upwards and ripped through his cloud base. Contemptuously, he sent the last four lumps of rock downwards. This time they were directed at the group of soldiers. The smartest soldiers fled the clearing, natural selection at its fastest. The rocks hit the ground in the midst of the remaining soldiers, bursting and sending sharp chunks of rock through flesh and bone. Screams sounded on the diamond. At last the screams weren’t those of the innocent. He condensed water vapor below him starting a pathway that headed towards the ground. It extended about 30 feet. Allowing himself to drop from his cloud base, he condensed the vapor just beneath his feet when he hit the pathway and continued to do so as he slid towards the ground. At least 20 feet ahead of him the pathway continued to form and water poured from under his feet as he slid. The cloud dipped inwards as Cain rode down the cool, white surface. As it neared the ground the pathway leveled out slowing him to the point where he could slide onto the ground without tripping. As his shoes ground into the dirt, he leaned backwards slightly and then knelt into the impact. After glancing at the incapacitated soldiers that had remained in the clearing, he stood upright and strode to where one of the smarter ones cowered. Even this well hidden soldier had large gashes in his body. Cain knelt and examined the silvery buckle that adorned the man’s white uniform like a silly ornament. With a fluid motion he ripped the buckle from the man’s chest. Desperation filled the man’s eyes and he cried out. “No! You can’t. That isn’t what you’re looking for!” Cain replied in a confident tone “I search to find the key of thunder, and where better to hide such a powerful tool then on a dying soldier as a silly ornament.” The soldier began to sob “How did you know? I was supposed to be protected. They promised me wealth! They promised that you wouldn’t know” In a desperate maneuver the man screamed, lunging forwards with a dagger in his hand. Cain broke the man’s neck with a powerful kick. No one else dared fight back. Another cloud condensed and Cain stepped onto it. The rain began to fall again. Cain was no longer in the city. So basically, this is me trying to be original. That is super hard to do these days. This is based off of a magic system that deals with the water cycle. People who receive the mutation (how they receive the mutation is a secret for now) J will be able to control water but only water in a certain stage of the water cycle. So they would be able to control, to a limited degree, one of the stages of a water cycle. Cain is a condenser. He can condense water vapor to form clouds. If he condenses the cloud enough he will form rain but he can’t control the rain he controls the water vapor. I guess that it is more about what form the water is in and less about the water cycle. (Yes I know the names are rather lame but it’s all I got for now) Condenser: controls water vapor and can condense water vapor Evaporator: controls liquid water and can evaporate water Interceptor: controls the absorption of water vapor by plants Transpirer: controls release of water vapor from plants (I’m considering combining this and interceptor) Depositor: can turn water vapor directly into ice Sublimator: can turn snow or ice directly into water vapor Cycler: controls the whole cycle Its super rough and I hope to add more to it but that’s it for now. I would love some feedback

Dalinar? I didn't think Rock would be he answer. too obvious
-
uuhh.... Rock? hahaha there are probably a dozen reliable characters in Sanderson's books so I'm guessing it has something to do with the word rock
-
am I the only one thinking Doctor Who? XD (not a guess, just a funny thought) Okay how about the chasms in the shattered plains
-
hmmm sell.. I just can't imagine him with powers like that. I always imagined him as kinda chubby, not sure why. I certainly can't imagine a chubby KR....as funny as that would be. Elhokar has the ability to soulcast Edit: I guess what I can't imagine is Brandon writing a chubby knights radiant character into his book. I can totally imagine a chubby person flying through the air assassinating great rulers and such.

You're up. You guessed the guy I was thinking of I just wanted to see if any one would guess Tonk Fah

Nice Catith
-
Nice, can you think of anyone else that is a torturer as well?
-
I would say Way of king is definitely first on the list for me. Emperors soul is absolutely incredible though. It comes in second or third for me Welcome to the 17 shard jager!
