Just replace "gancho" with "mate" and it starts to fit. I was surprised when I first heard but the idea has grown on me. (I'm Australian if that matters.)

You Know You're a Sanderfan When...

I'm not entirely against craziness That said, proposals should only really I have 1 main point and I'll tell people if their proposal needs a little adjustment. I don't really want to limit the number of votes someone can throw at a proposal, definitelynot by breath/roles as that is a little too much in Hallendren's ffavor.I do have net access on my phone, so I'm able to make relatively short posts now and then No color though

I've been working on some rules for negotiations at the end if they do occur. I'm on my phone so will be pretty brief but here is a rough outline of what I am thinking. Comments and suggestions are welcome. (I'll fix the colouring here when I get on a comp.) When the last PK dies a "proposal" stage will begin. I will set a couple of basic proposals and each surviving player can put forward two of their own. A proposal should be relatively specific, for example "Hallendren must stop using their lifeless." Could be a proposal. After 48 hours I will post a list of all the proposals and a 48 hour voting cycle will begin. Each surviving player will have 10 votes that they can cast for or against proposals. (You can use more than 1 vote on a single proposal.) Once a vote is made it cannot be retracted. At the end of the 48 hours the treaty will be formed using these proposals, any proposal with more votes for it than against will be passed, any others will be rejected. I'll do a final writeup and the game will end. On a different note: a number of you have noticed the message hidden in the writeups (old habits die hard). The first two people to pm me the end secret of the message will recieve a breath. Before people start spamming me you do not currently know enough to get the answer. I will also accept a maximum of 3 guesses from any one person, you should know when you get it. Good luck There, colours fixed =)

To make this clear: Like how I will call out anyone who pretends to use the Idrian monk ability in thread I will call out anyone who pretends to reveal themselves as a returned when they are not one. So don't do it. And yes, Aili is a returned. Soo many things that we never think of till they come up and are misunderstood or unclear or simply not catered for by the current rules!

Day 4: Overdue Progression Cadmium After their happy agreement on a partnership at the Red Salmon Jeo and Aili retired to the restaurant to hash out the details. Late into the night they had finally sorted out a full agreement. Jeo had just finished clearing the last of the dishes and was walking back to the table where Aili was sitting when she noticed something odd. The way he was walking seemed slightly off, as if he was very tense. Alarmed she started to rise to her feet and Jeo lunged forward, catching her in the side with the kitchen knife he had concealed behind his back. Aili gasped with pain and clapped a hand to her side as she fell back to the floor. Jeo stood over her, “Time to die soul-eater!” He raised the knife again but before he could strike the door to the restaurant crashed inwards and 2 men charged in. Their skin was grey and their eyes were dull with no spark of intelligence or life. “No!” Jeo shouted, he stepped away from Aili and tried to make it to the back exit. But the lifeless were too fast for him and one of them blocked the door while the other advanced, raising it's sword. Jeo raised his knife in a pitiful attempt to block the creatures swing. Bright red blood sprayed against the lifeless's dull grey legs and trousers, their orders complete they then quietly left the restaurant leaving the door hanging off its hinges and Aili lying on the floor trying to slow the flow of blood from her side. In another part of town words were whispered and breath flowed. With the blood for the night already spent and the available breath bought the town grew quiet and empty. All except for the abandoned blacksmith which glowed with the light of the forge. Inside, a figure hammered away, forging a blade like none other. They smiled as they worked, their brow covered with sweat from the heat of the forge. With this sword in hand there would be no stopping them. Finally the work was done and the smith stood examining the sword for a moment, then they spoke a command and an enormous wave of breath flowed from them and into the sword. The figure tenderly lifted their creation, admiring it in the light of the forge. Then they spoke; “Sword, I name you Cuddles!” Edit: As day broke Vard (now a lifeless) was discovered and added to the Lifeless garrison. __________________________________________________________________________________________ Jeo was a normal Pahn Kahl! Aili was saved by the 5th heightening but is now injured! An awakened sword called "Cuddles" was made. To make sure it is clear whether I say normal or awakener or whatever next to a dead player describes their role at the beginning of the game. Day 4 begins and will end at 22:30 AEST / 12:30 GMT on Monday. Extension over the Easter weekend. A quick note on Returned as people will likely have forgotten or not noticed this. Returned can be any of Hallandren, Idrian or Pahn Kahl. That isn't to say that there necessarily is a PK Returned, you will have to find that out for yourself, I would be posting this reminder regardless of if there was one or not. All pm's will go out in the next couple of hours as I get time. I will post saying when they are all sent (sorry for delays.) Major assignment due effectively tomorrow night/friday morning is taking a lot of my time. Happy Easter everybody =D

The night is over, working on the writeup. Just so you know I haven't dissapeared.

Night actions are now closed. Writeup in 12 hours. Hopefully, this one will be hard to get done on time.

Well, here is the survivorist hymn (recorded by FeatherWriter) And here is a Vin version of Let it go. (also recorded by FeatherWriter) And here are some lyrics that haven't been recorded (to my knowledge) "Wasing the wanting of snowman building", eastern street slang Do you want to build a snowman. (incomplete) "Go of the letting", eastern street slang Let it go from the same thread. (Complete, but like the above it would be difficult musically due to the addition of many syllables). A pre-WoR Kaladin Let it Go . We played a bit with a few different cosmere parodies of Frozen songs on steelministry a little while back. (A quick disclaimer, I didn't actually write most of these): A Nightblood version of "Do you want to build a snowman" "Do you want to kill some evil, Come on come out and slay." Bridge Four singing "Fixer-Upper" to Shallan about Kaladin. Remarkably little of the song would have to change. Even, "Hold it! She's engaged to someone else!" "So he's a bit of a fixer-upper, so he's got a few flaws. His past as a bridgeman, His thing with the wind-spren, That's a little outside of nature's laws." Kal, walking through the chasms. "The spren glow red on the winds over head not a harold is in sight A world of desolation When I breathe in, I grow bright The wind is howling like this swirling storm I feel I can keep it in, I said the ideal Don't let them die, don't let them go Be a radiant! How? I don't know!..." "Let me glow, let me glow... I can hold it in better than Szeth... Let me glow, let me glow... I'll save my men from death. I don't care what the lighteyes say, Let the highstorm rage... The winds never bothered me anyway." I might go back and fully flesh some of these out someday when I am not run off my feet. But in the meantime there is some snippets I really ought to be working, not collating cosmere parodies, back to it.

You now have just over 11 hours to get your night actions in. I am still missing a lot more than normal. A quick reminder on what bodies are available to lifelessify: Dyrii, Fron and Swimim's corpses are still available. I am considering instating a rule that a corpse is no longer usable after 3 nights. After all how long are they going to be just left lying around That is rather morbid come to think of it, oh well.

It says that someone asked me Does that mean someone is close to making one? Maybe, or maybe someone is worried that someone is close to making one, Or maybe someone is... Oops, fixed. Thanks for pointing it out. Late at night a figure slipped from the shadows near the orphanage and swung himself in through the open window with one hand, the other held a dark object. The figure padded silently through the dorm and stopped before a young child's bed. The figure took the object and carefully settled it next to the sleeping child. The child drew the small ball of fur close to them and it uncurled and snuggled into their embrace. Satisfied the figure crept back out of the room and into the night and turned into an alley. The alley blazed with light for a moment and the figure was gone. I just had to, you can't just steal and orphan's bunny.

Half skaa, half noble I think. I don't think we have had any other cases where people were expressly called half-breeds. Who knows, you might get allomancy some time down the line ; )

Night 3: Scant Illumination Brass It was a day of confusion. Nobody seemed able to make up their mind about who was guilty. Oh it started peacefully enough, it was nearly midday before the first accusation was made, but as soon as the first vote was cast the chaos began, gradual at first but rapidly devolving into a madhouse of votes and changes. “We ought to kill someone.” Jeo stated, “And it had better be a Hallandren, how about Ver, he's been quiet after all.” The response from the Hallendren's was swift, returning from visiting the orphans Cog overheard Jeo's announcement. Kill Hallendren's eh? He thought. Where's the sense in that? Our awakeners are more powerful than anyone they have. “How about we kill you?” Cog was rapidly backed up by Ben who certainly didn't like the idea of killing Hallandren's. He then hurried back to his house to begin the construction of his pillow fortress, just in case. The votes then began to stack up, some for Chide, some for Jeo. Dyrii's lone voice called out for Wil'son, but everyone ignored him. As the day wore on Aodan finally came forward and placed a vote for Dyrii, encouraging everyone to consider carefully before making any changes to their votes. All the same shortly after votes started stacking up for Dyrii as new votes were placed and old votes were changed, some for the second time. Amidst the chaos of the voting Bartholomew and Summon both went to Aodan and, with a simple phrase, relinquished to him their breath. When the sun finally set on that mad day, despite a couple of the voters getting distracted and wandering off, the vote sat on Dyrii. Elated to survive Jeo took Dyrii by the arm and marched him to the gallows. As he faced his fate Dyrii spoke his final words, he said something utterly incomprehensible that had something to do with a hat, Wil'son and a potato. __________________________________________________________________________________________ Dyrii was a normal Idrian. Dyrii (Dyring) 6: Jeo, Aodan, Aili, Grim, Rick, Tril, Rowan Jeo (The Only Joe) 4: Gammer, Cog, Alan, Wil'son Chide (Chid) 3: Elo, Wyrm, Asgren, Peng Wil'son (little Wilson) 1: Dyrii Bartholomew gave his breath to Aodan Summon gave his breath to Aodan This writeup was a lot of fun to do =D It has come to my attention that some scenario's involving awakened swords are not in the rules. So before one is made here is a summary of the details. So as a useful list of such situations: -An awakened sword will kill someone who has a lifeless protecting them. -An awakened sword will kill someone who has a mercenary protecting them. BUT, the mercenary will still kill the attacker (and be injured) and will end up with the sword as a result. -An awakened sword ignores the 5th heightening effect. -If anyone kills someone bearing an awakened sword they take it for themselves. -If someone with an awakened sword is lynched the sword is lost. -You can pass the awakened sword to someone else as your night or day action but during the day, like with breath, you have to do it publicly. Any questions, just ask. Through pm or here. Night 3 begins and will end at 22:30 AEST / 12:30 GMT on Wednesday. All actions must be in by 10:30 AEST / 00:30 GMT on Wednesday. I am going to be away over the easter weekend (probably without net) so we will need to have a lengthened cycle. We could shorten Day 4 by 24 hours and make it a night cycle over the weekend but I think it would be better to just lengthen the day cycle. Thoughts?

The day is over! So no changing your votes for the third or fourth time New thread coming right up! *rubs hands together excitedly* this one is fun!
-
I have been wondering how many people were aware of this, and how long it would be before someone actually called me out on it in thread. I'm still a tineye at heart ; )
-
14 hours of the day remaining. @Edgedancer, I've been having fun with those =D
-
This is essentially why they have a choice in whether they want to try to take the breath or not. Regarding giving breath during the day. To be clear, it just takes up your day vote and the transfer will happen just before the lynching at the end of the day. Things are starting to get very interesting =)

Welcome to the forums LinkasZelda! Steelheart is fun, I have to admit to somehow not having read Legion yet though. Somewhat embarrassing given I've been here for some time now. Got any favourite games? (I'm quite a bit of a gamer myself )

Short Introduction and WoR Ending Theory for Nightblood
Claincy replied to M'Hael's topic in Introduce Yourself!
Welcome M'Hael! I think it is fairly certain that Nightblood was created using breaths (1000 off the top of my head but I could be wrong there). He is definitely a type IV awakened object. He is very similar to a shardblade true, Brandon has stated that some aspects of his different magic systems are essentially the same though are created or accessed in different ways. Such as stormlight healing and feruchemical gold. They are essentially the same power, but one is accessed through a nahel bond and drawing in stormlight and the other through storing in gold. It was a cool idea though. Nightblood is pretty awesome regardless. -
Welcome to the forums Olorin! I too was initially brought in by mistborn. Still one of his best works. Is there a story behind your username? It sounds cool.

Welcome to the forums ilikebacon! That is a very cool personalization. om nom nom nom

Welcome! The number of poems around here must have increased lately to attract a poemspren. Sorry you didn't get a welcome before now. Meant to make sure that didn't keep happening, failed =(

I'm fairly certain someone asked if there were waffles on Scadrial and Brandon said their were. Hence the Scadrian waffle cook I presume. I really hope I'm not remembering wrong.
