  1. Just a reminder that you have 2 hours left to send me night actions. You have nothing to lose by doing so after all.
  2. XD Sorry about that. Not very sorry though.
  3. You should have explained it in eastern street slang Then you would be pretty sure about whether it made sense or not. When you have spent so much time playing sanderson elimination that you automatically want to post anything off topic in blue, anything related to rules or functionality in green, feel that anything related to administration should be orange, on-topic discussion should be black and secrets and fun stuff should be in white! Bonus: And it feels really weird when you make a post without different colours.
  4. @el_warko, Aww, why do you want to kill me So the reason I voted for Warkel was because while we had almost no information to go on el_warko's question about whether the Jeskeri mysteries people knew about eachother and I figured that saying that to try to throw people off would be exactly the kind of thing a member of the Jeskeri mysteries might do. I think we should keep an eye on Faidh but I don't think it is too likely that he is a bad guy. I would have expected him to push for conversation and would have been more suspicious if he hadn't. I also think that it is less likely that a member of the Jeskeri mysteries would be inactive on the first day like that. (Though it is possible that he was inactive in the vote but not in the sacrifice vote.) I'm going to stay with voting for Warkel for now, partly because he is voting for me, and partly because of the same reasons as before. It isn't the strongest evidence, but we haven't got anything truly strong yet :/
  5. I know the point is mute now, but I just wanted to explain myself here. I wasn't trying to say that most of the people with lots of reputation got it by being funny, not that I have anything against a good joke. However cracking jokes and being funny in general can earn you a lot of upvotes and it is only 1 example of ways of a reputation based system being strongly in the favour of those who have done or been involved in certain things. As Rubix mentioned the elimination games are a prime example of this, I have gained a lot of rep from there, as have many others. Direct theory crafting is actually one of the slower ways to gain reputation. The reputation system is inherently unbalanced and that isn't really a problem, however basing privileges off it wouldn't work well.
  6. I've updated the first post with the current player list and links to all the writeups. Sorry for the delay in doing so.
  7. No. I do not think that is a good idea. Reputation points should not have an impact on this. Nobody should be effectively penalized because they joined the site later, or don't crack as many jokes. And I am someone that would benefit from such a system.
  8. Yeah, my post made sense for roughly 10-15 minutes There's always another secret.
  9. Oh is that what you think? Taravangian gave it to me for safe keeping *evil grin* I'll be in touch. And as soon as someone upvotes me this post will make dramatically less sense.
  10. It is, and it is fun. I haven't been on it for a while due to being too busy I'll be back!
  11. Night 6: Aan What? You had to know I was going to use that sooner or later, it's a Nalthis game for colour's sake. After being woken in the middle of the night by the foiled attack the patrons of the green potato had difficulty getting back to sleep. After tossing and turning through the night they were late to rise and when they finally did shamble down to the common room for a very late breakfast they sat quietly. Nobody knew who to accuse and some sat their struggling to find some evidence as to who might be Pahn Kahl. Others sat there wondering if with the Pahn Kahl numbers reduced so far the other nation would begin attacking them under guise of the Pahn Kahl, seeking an advantage in the negotiations. A small number wondered how in Colours they were to kill everyone else, and a few wondered only what was for breakfast and dreamed fondly of their beds. Taking up Elo's lute Aodan proved himself a capable musician and his tune seemed to gradually wake people up. Finally, hesitantly, people started putting forward suspicions. “How about Cen?” Gamm asked quietly. “Hmm, could be.” Ben agreed. Cen then gave his breath to Dainard and suspicion slipped to other targets. Summon boldly challenged Ver. Then, as no further votes seemed to be coming Aodan voiced his own suspicion of Thomas. After a long pause Alan and Dainard agreed. With the sun setting and minimal opposition they dragged him out toward the gallows they had set up. “What?” he cried “No! I said investigate me! Not kill me! I'm innocent!” Ignoring his protests, and anxious to get back to bed, they strung him up. Only afterwoulds, when they searched his things for anything incriminating, did they realize that he might just have been an innocent wanderer who had the misfortune to come to the wrong place at the wrong time. _________________________________________________________________________________________ Thomas was a normal Idrian! 12. A minute late, but it wouldn't have changed the outcome anyway. Things would have been tricky if it had.
  13. 15 minutes left. Just enough time if you wanted to vote.
  14. A little under 2 hours to go on voting .....Your vote is very significant if you vote now.... 5 votes, really? Everyone is that clueless? =P
  15. Here we go Caan tromped down from his room. He noticed that there was something odd going on, everyone seemed upset and on the verge of panic, he supposed he should find out what was going on. But, especially in times of danger, it was important to remember priorities. So Caan went in search of breakfast. What? It's the most important meal of the day!
  16. I, er, forgot about that Not particularly deep, meaningful and hilarious is it =( It isn't a 24 hours starting from when you gave rep at some point. If I am correct it is 24 hours starting 24 hours ago. So if you have given x rep in the past 24 hours you can't give more. Once a little time passes and the first of the upvotes you gave is over 24 hours ago you are below the limit again. Edit: Chaos, could you confirm how this works? So I can stop trying to guess/figure it.
  17. In that case I would guess it is a tally over the past 24 hours rather than a day cutoff. This fits with the way the posts today thing works. I could be completely off base but I reckon I'm right.
  18. I'm honoured I do seem to have started something *grins* I guess I just haven't thought of anything suitable to put there yet. I'm sure I'll think of something deep, meaningful and suitably hilarious eventually.
  19. There is a simple solution Aether, one that I am sure will appeal to you: Make a list! Such a simple, elegant and totally original solution. I am curious as to what the current cap is though.
  20. STOP RIGHT THERE CRIMINAL SCUM! ; ) (You know I don't mean it.) It has already been officially confirmed that you keep your previous powers! ...well, maybe not official but it has been discussed! ...for...two posts...but Kadrok and I were in full agreement! That's gotta count for something right guys? ...right?
  21. All night pms have been sent. On with the day.
  22. We don't have a confirmed boundary for that. I get the feeling we will soon. I really really hope there is a worldsinger rank and I would be pretty certain there is. Cos that's where I want to get to. (If my member title didn't give that away.) Gonna take a long while though by the looks of it. I think I left it un-bolded because I wasn't 100% certain that that was the boundary. I just figured that 1111 would be the start of a rank.
  23. Well that is awesome. I figure situations like that will become more common as Brandon's fame grows Which is fairly inevitable now I think.
  24. Day 6: Intense Gravitation Pewter A figure crept through the town fingering the hilt of the dagger strapped to their leg. It was a good dagger, folded steel with a leather wrapped hilt. A poor weapon for fighting, but an excellent one for a murder. The figure scowled as they considered it, as excellent as it was it couldn't possibly compare with what they had lost. It was like comparing a mere drab to a returned. The figure growled quietly, they would take it back. Sooner or later, perhaps tonight. They slipped into the Green Potato through the back door, closing it quietly behind them. The inn was quiet now, the last of the inns patrons had long since departed to one of the inn's rooms or to their own homes. The figure kept moving, climbing the stairs, stepping carefully over one he knew would creak. Finally the figure reached the right door and carefully tested the latch. Finding it unlocked the figure pulled on the handle and carefully swung it open. On the other side, silent and completely still, stood Paxen. Seeing the figure the lifeless raised its sword and attacked. The would-be murderer leaped back, desperately trying to avoid the attack. The lifeless struck again and the figure barely deflected the blow with his dagger. If Paxen had been a remotely capable fighter the figure would be already dead, their dagger was simply no match for the lifeless's sword. The figure turned and ran across the landing to the stairs, desperate to escape, and Paxen ran after them, stumbling slightly over an uneven floorboard. He reached the stairs just after the figure and, heedless of the risk that would make an ordinary man pause, Paxen leaped after the figure and tried to grab them. Paxen missed and he went crashing down the stairs past the figure, landing in a heap at the bottom of the stairs. The figure cursed, the racket would have woken everyone in the inn, there would be no chance of killing the target now. They hurried down the stairs, stepping over Paxen's broken body, and ran out into the night. Asgren strolled through the dark streets. For a change tonight he had found no difficulty in procuring another breath, and the extra life and perception made him cheerful despite the situation. He sobered somewhat as he considered it, Peng was dead, as were Elo and Jeo. They were being killed off, one by one and worst of all the sword was gone! Taken by whoever had murdered Peng. Still, Asgren stayed positive, regardless of how this ended it would make for an excellent start to his career as a historian. He had been saying he would start for years, but had somehow never quite got around to it. Of course that didn't stop him from frequently and proudly referring to himself as a historian. Somehow it never occurred to Asgren that he might be killed. After all he was a historian and who would kill a historian? Historians observed and recorded, they didn't interfere directly. Except, technically, Asgren was interfering. He knew he shouldn't, but there was just so much potential for a great story here, a major war between countries with such long-held enmity! Asgren was just giving history a little helping hand. The others wanted the war for petty revenge, but Asgren considered himself above such emotions, he served a higher cause. Caught up in his reflection and self-gratification Asgren failed to hear the footsteps approaching from a side street until he bumped into the other man as he came round the corner. Asgren stammered an apology and backed away a step, but the other man stepped forward. Only then did Asgren notice the grey cast of his skin and realise that he was in serious trouble. He looked up into the dead, emotionless face of Vard. “W..wait” Asgren stammered as Vard advanced, “I'm sorry we killed you, but...but you were in the way! H..history demanded it! Please!” Asgren's plea's fell on deaf ears, if Vard was still capable of understanding, he showed no sign. Vard's sword rose and fell and blood spattered the cobbles. Elsewhere words were spoken, breath flowed from one person to another, and in another place Wyrm rose and stood all colour drained from his body Paxen's body was too badly damaged to be reused and was burnt. Dyrii was found and was added to the lifeless barracks. __________________________________________________________________________________________ Asgren was a normal Pahn Kahl.
