  1. For anyone who is wondering (probably no-one), from the start of the Szeth section to the end of chapter 88 Feather says "What?" a grand total of 23 times Oh and Feather, in the immortal words of wit "That one is stronger than you think." Once I would have struggled to understand how someone could get that emotional about a fictional character, Frozen cured me of that. Edit: Now that I have finished listening to the last one: Thankyou for recording these Feather, and for your part Chaos, it was a very enjoyable ride and it was very interesting hearing someone else's reactions. (I figure we almost certainly will get at least one Renarin point of view in Stones Unhallowed now that Brandon no longer needs to conceal Glys.)
  2. As you wish, vote adjusted. At the moment so long as we are working together to hit the sharders I am happy. (I dunno where Jim Bob Dirt is at actually. He might be busy irl.) Which I should be too, *sigh* back to work =P
  3. My comment was mostly a joke I view shipping in a similar manner to how I view romantic relationships in general. I can understand what people get out of it, but having considered the advantages and disadvantages I concluded that I have other priorities.
  4. Ok, let's put it this way. There are 12 players left alive, 4 are Sharders. Each of those sharders has 2 lives meaning we need to get 8 hits on them to kill them all. 8! they have as many lives as we, Lighteyes/Merchants and Darkeyes combined have people. Beyond that they almost certainly have nightwatcher boons including a kill weapon of some form. One of the GB is already dead. If you attack us now, and kill off our GB or Worldsinger we all LOSE. Straight up. We are going to focus all of our efforts on killing sharders for the time being and if you do not want to lose you will do the same, vote for Sarams (red for emphasis) with us, he is the other sharder "loyal" to us. If you have a sharder target you would prefer then say so while there is still time to change votes. I do not really care who we hit, so long as they are a sharder. On a separate note as you could see from the posts above our most recent attempts with the nightwatcher backfired horribly. Because Rubix is cruel and sadistic, just like any good GM ; ) I will not try to deny that the Darkeyes have an edge over the Nobles and Merchants at the moment. However, the nobles and merchants combined are a match for us even without the sharders. We are not going to attack you at all until the sharder threat has been reduced to a manageable level so if you do as I am suggesting, a cycle or 2 from now you can turn on us and you will have a surviving sharder or two still boosting your ranks above our own and you will be more than a match for us. You will be able to kill us without causing a victory to the sharders, if you play this right.
  5. I don't really know what I can say. You are trusting the lies of an enemy that has already deceived you and is working to kill us all. I will take it as a compliment that they are calling me a key player, but I would guess that is off past performance as I haven't been around much this game since very early on, in the thread or in our doc. I know we aren't allies, but we have bigger concerns than eachother.
  6. I'm not sure that counts as "evidence" that I am a darkeyes. I referred to the darkeyes as "us", that isn't terribly ambiguous I chose to tell you because I know that we need to work together. The results of last night were overall helpful in the fight against the sharders but they did weaken the darkeyes as well. Regarding the shardblade, this is going to sound hard to believe. But Ashiok went to the nightwatcher last night to request that a shardblade fall on Aonar so that he had at least done something useful this game. That is what he is talking about here: Notice that the shardblade n the writeup ends up in Xeneth's hands. The arguments I made yesterday still stand, because of the Sharders 2 lives, the boons they have from the nightwatcher and their ability to communicate privately and securely they are still a greater threat. There is no point me saying that I am not, as I would say that regardless and you would have no reason to believe me. What I will say is that I have never discussed my role in the darkeyes doc (as was standard practice in our doc). Whoever is feeding you that information is lying to you, again. What a surprise ; )
  7. Nice try Aonar. If we ignored that the sharders almost certainly have multiple nightwatcher blessings, most likely including a killing item, then your argument would be almost sufficient. By all means, let's fight it out tomorrow But if we fight it out today the sharders are going to equal us all combined in numbers and with their co-ordination and ability to actually trust eachother they would almost certainly win despite us now knowing who they are. I do not think it is unreasonable to guess that at this point their blessings from the nightwatcher are equivalent to what we have. We suggested attacking a sharder who I think is "loyal" to us rather than one who is loyal to one of the other factions. If you follow through with that plan you are hurting the sharders and us in the case where we do succeed in reducing the sharders numbers to a manageble level (and if we don't succeed at that harming us is irrelevant). The plan benefits you either way and the sharders are not being subtle in trying to dissuade you from it. Not the best written post, but I'm tired *shrug*.
  8. This stands as the best argument I have seen for not shipping
  9. I winced at "Shallan and Renarin are going on a special mission, and it's going to be wonderful." Poor feather
  10. Yeah I'm still around and active, no I don't have time for rp Stupid exam period.
  11. I found it almost as entertaining, but a bit less disturbing, when you were a Shade. Cos, shade, delightful, box full of lights, you get it right?
  12. Try this. steel alphabet font.zip If you cannot open that one, download 7-Zip or WinRAR and you should be able to open it. Let me know if you still have any problems I didn't expect this thread to get revived =)
  13. Clanal slipped through the back alleys, carefully checking corners for rioters. The highstorm had washed away the blood and corpses, but the images remained fresh in his mind and it could only be a matter of time before the streets were again filled with blood. Clanal had no intention of participating in the gruesome decoration and he hurried on, hoping to reach his destination without meeting anyone. Yeah I'm still around. Barely because of exams and major projects, but still here.
  14. Clanal watched,Vobserving the?fighting but avoiding:taking part.) Really busy atm so no real rp for now =(
  15. Nobody said Eric was completely sane, just that this was your insanity we were listening too
  16. Here you go The general rules thread combined with Rubix's OP should tell you what you need to know. If you have questions though feel free to ask It would also be great if you took a quick look at the etiquette policy if you haven't already Oh yeah, and a little other note to new players: if you haven't noticed this from watching games before or from other parts of the forum: white text is fairly common here My fault, not sorry. So, as the game won't be starting till just after I go from crazy busy to moderately busy I will join as Clanal I haven't missed a game yet and I don't want to start with this one ; )
  17. That one. I can't really think of much else to say here.*shrug*
  18. My post was also supposed to be in good-natured fun, sorry if that didn't come across right. DANG TEXT LIMITATIONS! =p
  19. Having considered some more I have decided not to change my vote. (As the duel was announced far too late in the day I do not have to.) Faialen is suspicious, but I am not certain of his guilt or otherwise. Beyond that, where things stand at the moment the ghostbloods would need to use both reversers to get someone else lynched, if they do have both. If they do have them, and they do use them both then we at least know that they do have a second one now and we will still gain information by them doing so. I would say more, but it is 2:22am and I have multiple major assignments due on friday so I really need sleep.
  20. Sorry Meta but you are around 12 hours too late to do that: Whoops, forgot to add that in. It must be declared with 24 hours left. I do have more to say but it can wait till a little later before I go to bed but this needed to be noted now.
  21. Swimmingly is now "Midnight Essence" at 1501! It's been ages since I was the first to notice a new rank. =)
  22. My signed TES hardback begs to differ. I don't care if something is a Novella or a novel, if there is a book of it it's a book The only two there that may not be books by that definition are the infinity blade novels. I don't know if you can get hardcopies of them. Even if you can't, I would say they still deserve mentioning.
  23. I'm going to stick to my guns and vote for Jim Bob Dirt. I took a look back through at all of his posts and literally the only post he has made this game that hasn't been saying that he doesn't intend to vote or arguing against voting on the first day is this one: We are on day 3, and the most he has done (in the thread anyway) towards hunting down the GB is a single query. His fervent arguments against my information gathering still make him highly suspicious in my mind, particularly his insistence that we learned nothing from the accusations and voting. There is a difference between being cautious and sitting back and watching while the GB kill everyone. Quite frankly, and somewhat callously, if someone who isn't voting is killed and they turn out to be innocent we haven't lost as much as if we kill someone who is actively helping the discussion. I still think Jim Bob Dirt is a GB though. Now this is neither here nor there, but during day 1 Tors was voting for Jim Bob Dirt before his vote was changed to himself. There could be several reasons for this that do not involve Jim Bob Dirt being a GB, perhaps they wanted the irony of Tors voting for himself or wanted to ensure that it was Tors who died even if someone else used a reverser. This is far from being any form of conclusive proof but I think this is worth noting.
  24. Not trying to be a pain here but while Words of Radiance is his most recent book, Way of Kings was released back in 2010 so: -Alcatraz versus the shattered lens -Towers of Midnight -Memory of Light -Infinity Blade: Awakening -Infinity Blade: Redemption -The Emperor's Soul -Legion -Alloy of Law -Steelheart -The Rithmatist (and some short stories) I think that's everything. All came out in-between Way of Kings and Words of Radiance.
  25. Interesting, very interesting. Here are my initial thoughts. I think the Elantrians are horribly overpowered. The rules for exploring Elantris that you hid in that post would make it far too easy for them. ^I wonder if anyone will fall for that. I find it interesting that the converts are working against the one who converted them But as a game mechanic it could be fun. Reminds me of cultists in Munchkin Cthulhu in some ways actually. So if the Gyorn or Odiv tries to convert the Shu-Korath Priest they will get a pm saying they failed? Or they just won't appear on the list of converts. Dula, yay Cupid! Ahem, do the lovers get a shared victory with the Gyorn and Odiv priest if everyone is converted? As their only victory condition is to "survive". So the King/Queen is a revealed role from the start? Pirate will be interesting. Though thematically it is odd that your hostage doesn't know they are one. I am guessing you are thinking of Vivenna/Denth. I like the debtor. It should make things more interesting. Oooh, the Hoed rules look challenging and fun.
