  1. Send me a PM please, it can be nonsense. It's for a meme. Edit: also, I always imagine your PFP as a fairy with a Christmas hat on lol Edit 2: @Doomslug the Arcane nevermind, I got someone else to do it:
  2. Do what? Ping Chaos and ask him to do that? Or ask if anyone has won yet?
  3. Has anyone won yet? Imagine @Chaos posts something here like "I win", then immediately locks it.
  4. That was three posts ago, you were supposed to do mine. I think
  5. Firstly, I don't really know what 3-BP is, but that's irrelevant as long as you explain how "chaotic" the orbits are. Specifically, what will it look like on the surface? It might affect calendar stuff. Maybe - depending on how rare the nights are, and if they follow a set frequency/pattern - the people would base their "years" on the nights. Each night would mark the start/end of a year. Or they wouldn't even have years. And how about days? For example, on Roshar they have obvious days but also the three moons rising and setting. And the weeping marks new year. Do you think it would help to have a simple program for that? What kind of "rolling" is it? Are you just clicking buttons on that Worldsmith site? Edit: we could always just be boring and have one (or two) stars in the system.
  6. Thanks for all the tips! Would you recommend soloing First Step or running it with the players? They may benefit from being introduced to the basic mechanics. Also...there may only be 2 players, hopefully 3 and - if I'm lucky - 4 (which I know is the recommended minimum). Also, they have not read Brandon's books. Should I give them the "Welcome to Roshar" material that was linked to in First Step and the guidebook? If I end up having a small party, what would you recommend? Just having less/weaker enemies? I may be able to get up to 3 or 4, I'll see.
  7. Oop, accidentally rated and haven't read it yet lol. Edit: finished reading. Nice job!
  8. Wow, I never new that feature existed! Thanks!
  9. If I read it, I don't have an e-book reader (which I assume you need to make use of epubs?) Otherwise, I'm fine reading a PDF. I already read a chapter or two past the AU excerpt in a PDF a few months back, but didn't continue.
  10. Please remove the original question from your quote (see the above empty quote). I made that mistake too lol
  11. (Final Empire spoilers in case anyone cares) @Akimikoisthecutest I would recommend putting your answer in a spoiler tag, since that is kind of a big spoiler.
  12. I see. That thought came from: Now, I believe you were talking about how they compressed the plot, right? I guess I didn't think too hard on it, and thought of "trash compactor" as basically meaning "turn into trash." Speaking of...I may not ever read the White Sand prose (from the newsletter), but in case I do, I noticed that it has -- rather than em-dashes. Is this dependent on how I open the file? Can I convert them? The same is true for underlined text, which I believe should be italicized. Sample: (Using MS Word): Also, if you recall, we already discussed White Sand some.
  13. Mol? Wait, are the Pruners humans? Are they the only Investiture users? Why would they want to destroy the plants? To keep them from getting "out of hand"? Why are they indestructible? Do they just heal very quickly? Or attack humans when they get to close (I suppose the opposite of what many Rosharen plants do.)
  14. It is indeed Sophi Tarcsel! The round is yours!
  15. It is not Allriane the Rioter, though I would consider it close. This character was successful. This character claimed that a relative was responsible for something. This character is the daughter of said relative. This character was a large contributor to technological advancement.
  16. Was the movie really that bad? I guess I don't have anything to compare it - having not read the book(s). Honestly, sometimes it depends on who's watching the movie (or reading a book). Maybe it is bad (I don't doubt what you are saying), but some people can still enjoy it. Especially the "non-critic" type, who are just there to get some entertainment. But anyway, I suppose I would not enjoy something similar with a Cosmere adaption. Edit: not trying to be offensive or anything. Side note: what's your opinion on using "--" for an em dash when it is not easily typeable? I see that most people (yourself included) use the hyphen with space around it, which honestly looks better and I have now began using that version as well.
  17. It is not the Sorry Sadeas. This character was successful. This character claimed that a relative was responsible for something. This character is the daughter of said relative.
  18. 10.01 What would you do with 100,000 Breaths (or BEUs)?
  19. I like that suggestion. Even if the "lots of rain" doesn't prove scientifically correct (I have no idea whether or not it is), we could just say Inv.(estiture) does that lol. Have you read The Sunlit Man? I think that may be relevant. This is a good idea, but aren't the nights short? I don't think the plants would need a constant supply of Inv., right? The could survive a couple hours (or however long) without it? Unless they do. Maybe all life (humans includes) need it. So if they (humans & plants) constantly need Inv. to survive, then, yes, they would seek could use alternate sources of Inv. @KaladinsSenseOfHumourSpren will there be any moons? Correct me if I'm mistaken, but isn't moonlight (not the character lol) sunlight reflected off the moon? So would it still have any Investiture (if the sun(s) are the source of said Inv.)? Edit: what if humans get their Inv. from the plants? (via consumption) Just an idea.
  20. Kis: Tan, M: Chan, Kil: Bav. Shallan - Veil - Radiant muahaha
  21. Nope! It was not the dog who wanted to fly. (Is that how I do these responses?) 1. This character was successful. 2. The character claimed that a relative was responsible for something
  22. Ok, wow. Sorry about that I guess. I haven't read Armada in many years and at the time I enjoyed it. There are many books I've been meaning to read, but have been too busy with Sanderson or simply don't feel like starting right now. Edit: thanks for adding the books. I saw that you added Dungeon Crawler Carl. I was actually thinking of suggesting it but didn't realize you'd added it already. Also, I don't see His Dark Materials anywhere.
