Cayansa, New Hallandren, New Hallandren Garrison Midas led Cayansa into a cell-like room. The sudden lack of colour felt a little like how they would imagine dying; grey and black and iridescent all at once. They were relieved to be unbound once more; doubly so when Midas gestured for all three of them to be questioned together. "So, why were you at the explosion?" Cayansa wriggled in their seat, then stopped in case it made them look suspicious. Reyx, on the other hand, was glittering so frantically that only the natural shimmering of the room prevented them being instantly visible - even then, they weren't exactly inconspicuous. Calm down, Cayansa thought to them. We haven't done anything wrong. Yet. That's not reassuring! Reyx hissed, almost audibly. "I came to check if anyone was hurt in the blast," Starseeker said, seeming calm but irritated. Well, if he was divinity as the guards had claimed, he probably wasn't arrested very often. Probably. "So did we," Cayansa added, words stumbling over each other in a nervous stampede. "We heard the explosion, and Kai was in Urithiru and so were we, and we came to help because there were people. I don't know much else." @KnightSkye Reforged @KaladinsSenseOfHumourSpren @Koloss17

What spren do you wish existed IRL?
Ink and Embers replied to pureintonation's topic in Stormlight Archive
Building on this, it would probably make it easier for me to work out how I'm feeling too (alexithymia, aka "Huh, I'm mildly in pain, which means I'm either hungry, full, angry, shocked, worried, upset, ill, depressed, or there's actually a problem which means I'm in pain", so emotionspren would be very useful for narrowing down the range!) -

I'd like basically any kind of emotionspren, because I'm really bad at communicating how I'm feeling to other people and I feel like it would help a bunch ("No, I actually am happy right now"; or "Hey this is really really getting on my nerves but I can't articulate that without sounding rude so please just look at the angerspren") -

I have "staring into space" procrastination, which is worse for both my productivity and my "oh-great-I'm-useless" feelings, and also "eh, I'd rather do something else" procrastination, which happens more. I actually really like school, but I'm lucky in that pretty much everyone is friends and bullying is pretty rare.

You know Schrodinger's cat? Where it's both alive and dead at once? That's a superposition; picking one makes it reality. The others are just possibilities. Picked "Never" Relationship Road Rhythmic

Cayansa, New Hallandren, a few blocks from the garrison Cayansa stared at Midas, at a loss for words. Time that turned minutes into centuries? Other planets? A place that wasn't either? In the future, our planets would have interacted... There were people here who would have been born long after Cayansa had died of old age. There were other Rosharans here, too, maybe people who- They must know! Reyx said, glimmering rapidly in excitement. Some of them, about happened back at home. If everything's already happened but none of it's happened yet, then you can learn it. Perhaps this is where lost moments go. That makes no sense whatsoever, Cayansa thought back. Time is meaningless then, under these rules. No. Time was meaningful before your people invented timepieces, and it still be constant once you're dead. This place is outside of time, like Midas said. What don't you understand? Cayansa gave up debating with Reyx. "Magic from Nalthis? How does that work? Is it the one that removes Stormlight, or the one that makes everything so colourful? Are they the same one?" They wished they could move to write this down without giving away the fact they were untied. Gesturing with their head to the guards, they added, "What about these people? They seem to be less colourful than everyone else. Not the most striking conversationalists, either." Or the most observant. @Koloss17 @KaladinsSenseOfHumourSpren @KnightSkye Reforged

Cayansa, New Hallandren, a few blocks from the garrison The head guard, Midas, raised an eyebrow, looking amused. "How long have you been here in Alleycity?" he asked, an edge to his voice that most commonly heralded a mocking kind of laughter. "Uh ..." Cayansa peered around them. There was one large timepiece on a turquoise building with people streaming in and out of it, but there were too many segments and too few hands to make sense. "A day and a bit? Definitely not two nights. Well, that depends on how time here works, which is strange, because time is supposed to be constant, right? That's what makes time time!" They remembered the first timepiece fabrial they'd made, one of three, probably all sold to rich lighteyes by now. The spren had pulsed in the gemstone, spinning in time to some unheard song that perhaps humans had never been meant to understand. Then, of course, they'd been packaged up and sold like chulls to the slaughterhouse. Cayansa focused back on Midas and Kai. "How are you using the anti-Stormlight? No, it can't be anti-Stormlight, or there would've been-" Their eyes widened "- there would've been an explosion..." @Koloss17 @KnightSkye Reforged @KaladinsSenseOfHumourSpren
