  1. Just dropped to a 9 Oof Well, I’m not using you for a higher purpose. And I’m sorry you feel like that. *bear hugs back* We’re here for you. No matter what. If it’s hurting you so much, maybe you should drop it. And if you choose not to, then you definitely have to keep complaining. Make your voice heard. But most importantly, take care of yourself. *hugs tight* You are right about a lot of things. But not everything. That small, tiny light? It does matter. Because at its heart, waiting to be unleashed, is a little fire. A fire that can light countless more. Light the fire. And it will be infinitely worth it. When you look back, you will see the pain. And the darkness. But you will also see the light. All the lights that you lit. The fire you carried. And that you will not regret. Will you banish the tunnel? Maybe not. The tunnel will always be there. But it will be lit. And you will not have to walk it alone.
  2. 209845 waited until they were out of sight of the main group, taking the opportunity to check again on Jidah’s location, then turned to Rhyme. ”So,” it said. “What exactly is your business? Of all the members of the party here, you appear to be the least normal. And you’re sudden appearance, right in the middle of our group, soon before a rebooting but claiming to know nothing of it, was no accident. What is your business here?”
  3. Poseidon, I know you got in a fight with him ten years ago, but now he’s mad at Ody, and I know you don’t like him, but he’s grieving, and I know you said you got over it, but we all know that’s not true, and now he’s wants Ody dead, and I was hoping- It’s moments like these that make me debate my life choices
  4. 209845 turned around, already beginning to head back down the stairs. It prepared itself to argue, then reconsidered. “To answer your first question; when the Web and reality are mixed in this way, both are altered severely. On this end, that means physics being broken, reality coming apart, and massive casualties. The leak continues to expand until it envelopes the whole world, and everything is destroyed, replaced by an endless well of chaos and matter floating in limbo. On the other end…” it left that sentence unfinished. 209845 then promptly turned and resumed its descent of the stairs. After a couple steps, it turned back around. “Well? Are you coming?”
  5. I’m back!

Today I had MUN and it was actually really fun!

I need to work when I get home though, cause I need to submit a position paper draft tonight…

  6. I understand. I really understand. Yes. I do. More than that, I’m scared of the person I’m becoming. It’s like being stuck between two abysses, walking a tightrope but unable to see which is which. The past will always be there, trying to control you. What matters is that you keep walking. Even if you don’t know which way you’re going. I do this too. While the music is on, it feels for a second like I can do anything, and nothings stopping me. And then I turn it off, and I fall back into my life. My meaningless, pathetic life. Yes. And for this, I don’t have the answers. But maybe, we can find them together. So you pretend to be someone you’re not. You look at others, the expectations they have for you, and begin to wonder when you became a terrible person. When you let them down. And when they will notice. You’re not bad. Maybe you’re different. You’re hurting, and you feel like a terrible person. You want things you can never have again. But that little girl? She didn’t endure the things you have. She didn’t suffer through waves of fear and anxiety and come out the other side stronger. She didn’t survive. But you did. The world has been hard on you, and you’re still alive. And that’s amazing. Because they don’t know what normal for you is. Nobody does. And so you are forced to carry the weight. On and on. Alone. But you don’t have to. We’re here for you. And we can carry some of the weight. I really need to go now. But talk to me, okay? I’m your friend, Hawks. I want to help you. I don’t care how bad you think you are. *mega hugs*
  7. “It is. In fact, it’s more than we expected in this area. You see that?” 209845 nodded at the rift. “THAT’S what the Cloud fears. When too many viruses gather in an area, such as this, their combined essence creates a Rift that connects the physical realm and the Web. Once the Rift gets big enough, the Web begins to leak out of it and change the structure of reality. This Rift isn’t quite there yet; but it will be soon.” It looked down, thinking. “Normally, the Cloud can detect emerging Rifts to neutralize them. This one must have been hidden by all the dirt and rocks…” Suddenly, 209845 was interrupted by a rapid beeping sound in its head. Jidah’s cookie had gone dark. It took a quick look around. ”Wait,” it said then assessed the situation. Yes, the Jidah appeared to be unconscious, but still alive. Good. It needed to get to her quickly, though. She still had a place in 209845’s plans. It returned its attention to the others. “Jidah’s in trouble. I’m going to go find her. Stay here, and do not draw attention to yourselves.“ It turned to Rhyme. “And DON’T touch anything.”
  8. Did someone mention April Fools Plans?!
  9. I think TheBestTruthwatcher is using it.
  10. 209845 reacted instantly, rushing between her and the totem. “Careful!” It said, then relaxed a little. “We don’t know how old these artifacts are. They’re priceless, and we definitely don’t want to damage them.” 209845 nodded, then turned back to what it was doing. It walked up to the window and looked out… and it’s pulse skipped a beat. The window overlooked a massive cavern, whose walls were as tall as a dozen tree trunks. The window 209845 was looking out of was roughly the thirds of the way up, giving it a perfect view of the thousands upon thousands of viruses that filled the space. The viruses seemed to blanket the entire floor of the cavern, which was as large as a small lake. And hanging in the air, in the center of the cavern, emanating the odd glow was what appeared to be a rift in reality itself. The rift took the form of a long gash hanging in the air. The edges of the rift were hard to delineate, but it was massive and seemed to pulse in iridescent light. What was happening here, in these caverns, was far greater than 209845 ever expected.
  11. I don’t know if this is kind of what you feel But you know the sensation when, say, you’re standing on a balcony and just imagine leaping off. Not because you want to hurt yourself, or feel the need to do so, but just because you can. And it’s scary because you imagine how easy it would be. And how close you are to doing it. Even though it would make no sense to do it. I’m not good with relationships… but I hope you can find the strength to make a decision. And regardless what that decision, we will be here for you.
  12. Hey, I was just looking at the doc, and can you add Cascea to the section on factions and cities where the other continents are shown?
  13. Oh. Argenti’s already kind of red, so I guess I’ll take orange?
  14. Alright! Time to get down to work Civilization 1: The Forgotten 1. Blattelans (bug people) 2. The blattelans are anthropomorphic insect-like beings. They have triangular heads and long, spindly legs ending in talons. They have a set of arms coming from their shoulders (like humans), also spindly and with four fingers. Finally, they have a third set of limbs extending from the middle of their torso. These aren’t really legs or arms; they’re a sort of in-between, that can be used to grab stuff (also four fingers) but aren’t really good for manipulating stuff, and can also be easily adapted to serve as an extra set of legs. Their ancestors were winged, and current day blattelans still retain wing buds were they used to be. Like bugs, they have an exoskeleton, and their language consists of clicks and chirps. They have two large eyes recently adapted to see in the dark and the cognitive capacity of people. 3. The blattelans are some of the few life forms existing on Arvus before the arrival of Indulgence (but not predating the Shattering). They believe they were created by a powerful god they call Perfection, or really “The One Who Seeks Perfection”. According to their myths, Perfection created them and then disappeared long before the arrival of Indulgence. (I was hoping this “Perfection” could be Order, my Shard proposal, thus making it canon in this world even if it will have no plot relevance, just as a larger universe tease, but that’s not necessary). When Indulgence arrived, they believed it to be the return of Perfection. When Indulgence proceeded to terraform the world, driving the blattelans underground, they believed it to be the dark version of Perfection, or Havoc (“The One Who Seeks Havoc”). 4. The blattelans live in Arvus, in Cascea, the Untamed Continent. Cascea is a smaller continent in the South Pole of Arvus. Before Indulgence, Cascea was a hub of life, one of the few places where the heat wasn’t too overpowering to prevent life. After Indulgence’s arrival, Cascea froze over, and most life died out or was driven underground. Today, very little life exists on Cascea’s surface. Most people on Arvus don’t know about the existence of the blattelans, and vice versa. 5. The blattelans live in a Unity (“That Which Creates Unity”), which is essentially a large alliance between a variety of independent states. Most of the states are on good terms, and they regularly interact, but each has a slightly different culture and language (might flesh them out more later).
