  1. Ebon nodded. That would give him time to collect his things and make some plans. It seemed approaching Perses had been the right decision after all. Ebon followed the man into the parlor and took one last look before leaving the building. "That sounds good. Until then." He nodded, then walked off as the doors shut themselves behind him with a final clang.
  2. *hugs* It's okay to cancel sometimes. Your friendships shouldn't be a chore. If you just need some time for yourself, they should understand that. Oof *squeeze* Well, storm them. I'd have you on my team over any of them any day. When I was younger, I played soccer, and basically the same thing happened to me (admittedly, I did really suck, but they still could've been nice to me). Eventually, I quit soccer, and I ended up finding a sport I really like with people I actually like being around (ultimate frisbee). Not saying that's the solution for you, but you shouldn't do something if all it does is make you feel worse. Best of luck with your... operation on Tuesday
  3. Okay, seems like I missed a lot. Let's see Evinir returned from lunch break back into the busy conference room. Austre, why had that meeting needed to be so long? Regardless, it was time to get caught back up on all the action. After some quick milling about, Evinir was surprised to see yet another huge push of pressure on TUF. And yet, to Evinir, TUF had still done nothing particularly suspicious. The opposition against him appeared to have been inherited by Wiz (someone who Evinir had mainly ignored so far, but he should definitely begin to pay more attention to), Elidyr, and... Timmy? In fact, Evinir found it interesting how Timmy suddenly, without seemingly providing any explanation, shifted seamlessly from pressuring Wiz to TUF. Suspicious, or just nervous behavior? (OOC: Can someone please tell me why we're all attacking TUF? I still don't get it. Also, like I said, I'm not a huge fan of Bridgeboi's varying levels of activity, and then suddenly coming in and giving his vote without evidence.) And then there was TeeJay... in the morning, Evinir had been suspicious of him, due to the conflict between him and Izmir. He still was a little wary, but he had to recognize certain things. First, TeeJay was a highly experienced member of the Assembly. If he wasn't a traitor, then he was undoubtedly one of the most invaluable tools in catching them. So for now, Evinir chose to leave him alone and allow events to play out. His attention was more focused elsewhere... (OOC: Honestly, I dunno. TJ has a point about him maybe getting framed, and also, he does seem like the person who most knows what he's doing (although that could be a ploy). I just don't see an elim leading the villager force so completely, unless he completely duped all of us.) Evinir couldn't help but agree with the arguments TeeJay kept lobbying at Raven; and while they weren't particularly strong, he also didn't like how defensive Raven was getting, in particular when TeeJay inquired as to their change of mind regarding Simon. Simon, who was also now on Evinir's radar. (OOC: Yeah, Raven is kinda sus here. Throwing around accusations, without good evidence. Let's take a look at them, shall we? In their opening post last cycle, Raven attacked Stink (although that might have just been a poke). However, they suddenly changed their mind about Stink (a little sus) and went on to not really make any attacks for a while. They went out of their way to mention their reads are notoriously bad (perhaps covering up their nonsensical nature) and then... never voted for cycle 1? Then in cycle 2, Raven suddenly became much more active, attacking TJ because he feels "off" and furiously defending themselves.) And then there was also TwinStorm, who had been oddly quiet the entire time so far. So quiet, in fact, it was easy to forget he was even there. Due to the evidence presented above, my vote is changing from TJ to Raven.
  4. FREEDOM

I'm back! So, today officially marks the start of Semana Santa, which is basically a week-long vacation (think spring break). And as my family travelled to Lima (Peru) for Semana Santa to visit family, I essentially spent all yesterday either at school, packing, or on a plane. But now, I'm free!

So yeah. I'm kinda excited 😋

  7. Oh, shoot This is not good Evinir strolled into the conference room in the morning feeling strong and refreshed... and froze when an aide told him the news. Stick had been taken overnight, and continued to claim innocence. But that didn't worry him. What worried him was Izmir. He stayed in shock as the aide led him up the stairs, and failed to register the event until the body was lying right in front of him. Izmir... Evinir shut his eyes, that had begun to water, and opened them again. There was no time for grief. There was work to do. Izmir's killers were still out there, and they would strike again. Evinir could not allow that to happen. "Get the others," he announced, unable to tear his gaze from Izmir. "We need to talk." I'm all for pressuring inactive players, but we should also look into who Kas was attacking. So that means... TJ I want to start hearing some defenses Also Morning
  8. Evinir took a deep breath, then stepped back into the embassy room. It had been a long day, and now, he finally had time to return his attention to the matter of the Returned. His fellow diplomats were mostly in shambles; only a few managed to maintain their composure well. Of course, that was probably due to the fact that some of them were probably traitors. In one corner, Stick, a longtime rival of Evinir’s, schemed with… Izmir? What an odd surprise. Izmir shared many of Evinir’s anti-Hallandren ideologies( he saw him as something of a mentor, of sorts. The difference between them was that Evinir wasn’t too proud to recognize the subtleties of maintaining stable relations. (OOC: I don’t like how Stick is blindly following Kazimir either… in fact, I have yet to see any convincing arguments from her, but I’m willing to have my mind changed. For now though, sticking with my vote) Evinir didn’t want to give up his breath; especially not to a Returned, of all things. But he also knew that as vocally anti-Hallandren, he might be blamed for these events. Best to maintain good relations. Giving up his breath would be a show of goodwill, that there were those that were trying to get to the bottom of this. He took another look around the room, spotting Wiz, Simon, and Elydir. All people with whom he had passed notes regarding this situation. For now, he opted to trust them. He had bigger concerns at the moment. Evinir took a glass of water from a passing servant, and began to stalk purposefully towards TUF. From a quick read of the room, it seemed most in the room, especially Stick and Izmir, were geared against him. And yet, Evinir wasn’t quite convinced. Yes, TUF could be a little headstrong at times, but Evinir values his opinion. He wanted to hear his side of the story. (OOC: Exactly that. I feel like the attacks against TUF are a little unjustified here…) Overall, my reads are these (and note it’s my first game, so yeah): Elims: Stick and Kas (they just keep ganging up, and I don’t like it) We also gotta consider the people that aren’t really getting involved at all… getting people to forget about you is a good way to not get voted out. Also, consider my breath confirmed!
  9. School today from 8:00 to 5:00 (Panama time)

  10. Well, if the strategy is being used as a way to reveal elims, then therefore anyone who gave their breath successfully was not an elim, and thus they are sorta cleared. But since you accept this, I'm happy to take away my vote if a better candidate steps up Speaking of votes, is there somewhere we can view all the votes for people? I don't want us all to end up voting different people and ending up with like a four way tie. Also, what is WIFOM? I'm happy to confirm, but I'm not sure how to actually give the breath away. Like, what am I supposed to do?
  11. NOOOOOOO! My strength!!!!!! *spikes my cognitive shadow back to my body* *chases you down*
  12. WHOAH WHOAH WHOAH! Watch it there, will ya? If we’re gonna get on with votes… *cracks knuckles* The only person I think we could realistically make an argument for so far is Stick.. Why Stick, you ask? Because this: Stick proposes in this setup that it will work to out an elim, even though any elim would have to be quite short sighted to allow themselves to be outed in this way. In proposing this, however, Stick creates a vehicle for elims to “clear themselves” (even though it likely wouldn’t work like that). (Of course, Stick also acknowledges the flaws in this strategy, so either there’s some crazy reverse psychology going on here or maybe she’s honestly innocent). It’s a weak argument, but at least it is one. Which is *drumrolls* progress!
  13. Okay! I'm here Evinir stalked down the street, worried. As a decently high ranking diplomat in Bevadis, he had been one of the first to be alerted of the... incident. He had to see it with his own eyes. Ever since the Returned's arrival in Idris, Evinir had staunchly and publicly opposed her. Evinir was one of the leaders of a new movement in Idris, that believed power should be amassed not through collaboration with the Hallandren but independent of them. Only through independence could Idris ever reach its potential. Evinir was aware his political stance was... controversial, to say the least. But he had still done the best he could to be polite to Starkeeper following her arrival. Best not to inflame the situation any more than was needed. Of course, that went out the window as soon as the Idrian priests were murdered. Evinir arrived at the door of the Hallandren delegation, and knocked. He took a deep breath, then prepared for what came next. I have been summoned! I'm good with giving up my breath, if that's what the group needs Whoah whoah whoah, already voting? Don't we have tomorrow to deliberate as well? Maybe there's something I'm not understanding correctly...
  14. What is this business of soul stealing?
  15. 209845 listened to their conversation with half its attention, while also looking around for any hints. As they walked, the tunnel began to descend, and sure enough, it winded down back in the direction of the virus cavern. Eventually, a bend came up ahead, and from around the corner glowed a faint iridescent light, illuminating the cavern walls. They were here. Time for the leap of faith. 209845 stopped before the bend, signaling with its arms for the others to do the same, and crouched down to inspect the tracks on the earth. Fresh. It stood back up, and turned to the group. ”We must be quiet. Around this bend is most likely the virus chamber; we need to think of a way to sneak in without drawing their attention,” it whispered, then hesitated. “And also without triggering… my protocol.” @Through The Living Glass@Bird Furious@BlueWildRye@SpiritOfWrath@CoderDrag0n8
  16. I’ve never joined a Sanderson Elimination game before, but this looks cool! Sign me up as Evinir. I don’t know if I should add anything more to the character.
