Long Game 104: The Flame of Tar Valon
Through the Living Hopper replied to |TJ|'s topic in Sanderson Elimination
Alkarii felt like his heart was going to burst. As the wolf-man prowled ever-closer, so felt Alkarii closer to death. He pressed himself further into the alcove, scrambling for anything. His cloak, a darker version than one that those of his Ajah normally wore, might have been enough, but "might have" got people killed in this Tower. Even in his frenzied state, he thought back to what the strange wolf-man had said. The only way someone would know if their Ajah was clean was if they were Black Ajah. But then it wouldn't be clean... Either way, he was lying, and lying prevented people from seeking knowledge. Alkarii did not like that, but though, he hungered to know what dying felt like, he was rather fond of being alive. As the wolf-man neared his alcove, Alkarii jumped up, grabbing onto the low and decorated ceiling and hanging there, covering as much of him as possible with the cloak while still being able to see. At least I'll have the high ground if I die. There, he sat and prayed to whatever god was out there, for the seconds that felt like eternity. *** Sorry if I'm just adding details in to help me. I've never played this game before, so if I need to change what I'm doing, just let me know. Also, either way Emmet is lying, or at least he can't truthfully and knowledgeably say that.- 1009 replies

Long Game 104: The Flame of Tar Valon
Through the Living Hopper replied to |TJ|'s topic in Sanderson Elimination
Alkarii Tay'TerTüne slipped into yet another alcove, his treasonous heart pounding. The man he had been following had already been followed! Alkarii hadn't even seen the person the wolf-man had just pressed against the wall, and he was one of the best at sneaking around. Whatever was happening, it was much bigger that Alkarii had thought. The Black Ajah... ...was everywhere. *** For the record, these conversation are definitely scaring me.- 1009 replies

Alkarii Tay'TerTüne slipped out of the nook that he had somehow found. He had a knack for figuring out where those would be. He added this one to his collection. Useful one, he thought. Nice, comfy, and best of all, behind the wolfman. He had heard the rumors about Jane, of course. He knew all of the gossip. Of course, he, being the reasonably intelligent man that he was, didn't believe them. As he stalked behind the wolfman, he briefly wondered what he was doing. If you die, the Secret... he mentally slapped himself. Fool! Even your thoughts can get you killed here! He thought that the wolfman was a viable suspect. Those that are so quick to point fingers are often guilty themselves. His footsteps, virtually silent to untrained ears, seemed echoing to Alkarii. He forced himself to go on. The Black Ajah must not win! They mustn't know that... Fool! *** Is there special formatting for in and out of game? I thought I read that somewhere. First game! I'm so excited that it finally started!- 1009 replies

How do I do that? I am terrible at checking things (it's a real thing, don't judge), so that would be helpful. -

I really feel Roshar, because even a gold compounder will die if repeatedly stabbed by a Shardblade. Also, if this battle took place in a highstorm - because seriously, Rosharans are smart; they'll know that's the best plan - the Surgebinders have essentially limitless Investiture; the airplanes can't fly, and the bullets would just be thrown around by the wind. A fourth-level Skybreaker would just kill everyone.

@#1 Taln FanI apologize for my rudeness; I actually would like to hear your reasoning. Why do you think Skyward deserves to be counted among the best?

I don't know if you could drown; you would get stabbed pretty quick. If I didn't know the Aethers were about to kill me, I'd take that. At least it would be quick. WYR learn the Alethi woman's script or Iriali?- 954 replies

Sharder Origin Stories
Through the Living Hopper replied to #1 Taln Fan's topic in General Discussion
I thought WoK looked cool and like something I wanted to read. I had already read Steelheart, and I read Tress for school. I started with Alcatraz, and I thought that was pretty funny. I had wanted to read WoK for a while, but it was never available at our public library. I was rereading the Cosmere for Dragonsteel, and I was into Oathbringer when the Stormstrider showed up. I was very confused, and I remembered the 17th Shard, because I had searched on it before. I picked it because it was a shortened version of something like That one Worldhopper that nobody knows the name of. It was supposed to be about the Worldhoppers in the background, that show up but nobody knows who they actually are. -

Do I need to have read the Wheel of Time? I'm a little bit embarrassed that I didn't know that was what this was based on. -

"Normal colors? Pshaw! No one does those anymore. On an unrelated note, would you like some Tawny Mauve fruit juice?" Did I miss something? Where does it say what the different Ajah colors are? -
I just finished a run-through - to the credit roll - of Hogwarts Legacy, which took me a year, mostly because I have a weird thing where I don't like ending things like that. I started again, and did it in half of the time. Now I'm trying to 100% it with my new character. I'm around 50-60% right now, after playing for almost 30 hours. IT'S A HUGE GAME!

Long Game 104: The Flame of Tar Valon

Alkarii Tay'TerTüne had always wondered what it would be like to die. He was not suicidal, no, not like the villagers all thought. He had no desire to die. He simply wanted to know what it felt like to die. If he died, everything he knew would go to waste. No, Alkarii had no desire to die. For if he died, the Secret would die with him.- 1009 replies

If someone could give me a play by play of how Wayne shortchanges the man in chapter 4 of Bands of Mourning, that would be great. I've gone over it so many times and I still can't figure it out. Also, for future reference, would this topic go in Mistborn Discussion or Cosmere Q&A? I'm still trying to figure out where all of the questions go.

Trust me, you can't be worse then me.
