10-15 years sounds like a long time if the Final Desolation has already started. I always pictured the gap being between 1 and 2 years long.

Maybe we could summon one of them, and then they could tell us how to summon Peter.

I expect that Renarin will survive, anyone else is a bonus, apart from Adolin, he can die, soon.

That sounds so much better than stickability.

I am literally counting the hours left at this point. For me, it's 6 days 2 hours and 32 minutes as of posting.

What happens if you ingest atium as a non allomancer?

I found the European covers a bit bland, and the high medieval weapons and armour on the UK cover just annoy me. I do really like the Chinese cover, though. From a quick google search, it does not look like there is a Japanese version, maybe we could PAFO? (seriously, how do you summon him?)
EDIT: spelling

Here are the dimensions of the bridge, as described by Kaladin, "around thirty feet long, eight feet wide". This limits the maximum size of the chasms crossed by the armies at around 15ft across. This also means that you definitely cannot have a four abreast cavalry charge. You might be able to get four horses on the bridge, but even two side by side would be a very tight fit. The bridge would probably have to be at least 8-12 inches thick as well because it would have to support at least two more likely four, probably medium to heavy cavalry, which could exert a force of at least 3700-4700N each (adjusted for Roshar gravity). I have no idea how much force a horse kicks off the ground with, but an average medium warhorse weighs around 400kg on earth plus a rider of between 80-120kg depending on size of person and weight of armour so it seems about reasonable.
Assuming dimensions of around 10m x 2.5m x 0.25m, this gives us a volume of 6.25m^3. Since they really need about 25 bridgemen to carry a bridge in battle, the maximum any of them can carry while running is probably around 40-60kg on Earth. 60x25x0.7 is 1050kg. This gives the wood a density of 168kg/m^3, about the same as balsa wood.2 -
I meant that the population was stable before the war.

Space era Scadrial has got to be the best place. Especially if you are born as a pure Mistborn/Feruchemist. Then I could steal other peoples magic via Hemalurgy and get immortality by buying breaths from Nalthis with my magic devices.

Freedomspren? Libertyspren?

Easy to control though. Just mentally scar them by letting them burn gold once. I guarantee they won't try allomancy again for a long time.

I think that stormlight has a much higher Investiture level so it may well make you stronger than Allomantic pewter as well. Remember that Kaladin felt like he was pulling the bridge along singlehanded. The problem with comparing them is that the strength aspect of Stormlight is not really highlighted.

Does atium do anything if swallow it but cannot burn it?

Arcanum is an adjective, unless it's the noun for the English word arcanum, either way, it's nominative(/accusative, although this wouldn't really make sense) neuter singular.

I'm pretty sure that the plural of Ars Arcanum is Ars Arcanums because the Latin does not work anyway because Ars is feminine so it should be Ars arcana unless it is the art of the arcanum, in which case it would be Ars Arcani. So Ars arcanum should be a set phrase in itself.
EDIT: Ars is also singular. The arcane arts in Latin would be artes arcanae.

I would not be surprised if Parshmen reproduce by laying eggs, which is how they maintain a stable population with so few mating pairs (before the war)

Not the worst possible twist, the worst possible twist would be that Dalinar was actually Gavilar but with some plastic surgery and memory loss, the reason he did this is to hide the fact that he had an illegitimate daughter a couple of years before he died called Lift.

Did you remember that a week on Roshar is 10 days?

Michael Cera as Spook, Ellen Page as Vin, Cumberbatch as TLR or Marsh, Brandon Sanderson/Morgan Freeman as Hoid, Robert Downey Jr. as Breeze, Sean Bean as Clubs, Bradley Cooper as Kelsier, can't think of a good Elend.

New topic, Peter is a lightweaver?

I think that the third Mistborn trilogy is supposed to be a sci fi/space opera, so I doubt that the Stormlight Archive would go the same way, unless they found some spaceship or if there was a crossover. I think that the travel will be done through Shadesmar unless anyone wants to start an "Urithiru is a spaceship" topic.

Can we move WoK to the weekend? I can see I have to go to a library for this. Otherwise, challenge accepted!
