Adolin marries Sadeas?!?!?!?!?!
EDIT: murders, not marries, although that would be a bigger spoiler...

In all seriousness, does anyone think that we'll see a Nightblood interlude?

Apparently, the books usually are DRM free. When they have DRM it is usually in the form of a password protected PDF. I think it depends on the publisher as to what format they provide the book in, so Tor would probably give a set of .epubs.

But there is a good chance that the artifabrians have no idea why half-shards can block shardblades, and they think that it is the augmented strength which increases their durability and not the amount of investiture.

Is the blanked out planet Taldain? If so, there should probably be a split like on Sel, with separate timelines for the people on the dark side and the people on the light side.

Will be at Loncon 14-17th. Almost certainly won't be around for the signing.

I finally got the Lies of Locke Lamora.
Also, anyone wanting to read the Wheel of Time needs to buy Loncon membership.

I mostly liked Shallan's arc, but I felt that sometimes, she was lying or being secretive for the sake of it.

I would guess that Yolen is a special case, as it was probably heavily Invested in by Adonalsium, so it may not have a single Essence.

I think you're missing one thing. TLR did create some artificial reindeer and kept 8 of them nearby at all times. Why do you think that the eyespikes were long enough to stick out of the back of the head?

Urithiru was built st the place closest to Honour, so I would guess that either Urithiru is in Shinovar and they are both next to the physical representation of Honour or they are both near Shards, and Shinovar has Cultivation somewhere in or near it.

Silver is definitely not allomantic.

Kandra could also be an almost unlimited supply of meat, considering how fast it takes TenSoon to regrow himself. That's a bit closer to unsavoury, especially if the kandra is posing as a human.
EDIT: Kandra would not have to be paid in atium for prostitution. Their employer would have to pay for the contract in atium, but the customers would only have to pay the employer.

Woohoo, I have a completely defunct title now my god is dead. Someone upvote me so I can stop being a priest to a dead god

I think the problems come from Brandon trying to make his female characters stand out from other females in the book, and giving them interesting scenes, when they cannot fight or do not have any magical abilities. The most notable exceptions to this rule, e.g. Vin, Shai, Vivenna can all use magic.

Are there any theories as to what the scepter is? I would propose that it contains investiture from Aona or Skai, but Hoid was already on Sel? so he should have already gathered what he needed.

Do you think you could control zombies with a strong enough emotional push?

2048! Double-eye with the five swords through it.

I thik that there is a quote from Brandon somewhere saying that Odium is the third Shard on Roshar.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Pern or Dune.

Surely you have to be an Elsecaller. Infinite food, stormlight healing, teleportation and the ability to just hide in Shadesmar for an indefinite amount of time.

The trick is to pick one direction and never go that way. I tend to never go down.

I was going to actually add something relevant to the discussion in the edit, but then I noticed the typo and left it at that.
I would suggest that a Bondsmith can facilitate the creation of Nahel bonds and through the link with the spren, is better at identifying potential candidates. Because, on their own, the powers do not seem powerful enough to limit the numbers of the order to so few, and the characteristics needed to become a Bondsmith are not that difficult to find.
