Played all since Rome apart from Shogun 2 and Napoleon. The strategy in Rome 2 is pretty good but the tactics just turn into a giant melee. Favourite has to be Empire or Medieval 2.

Not being an expert in pubs, I defer to any suggestions. I would check for age restrictions, though.

If I remember correctly, metals (with exception of atium) are not investiture, they are spiritual pathways or something which grant access to a part of Preservation's power. All the investiture is already in the person or spike.
