Shallan finding Urithiru could just be referring to the fact that it is from Shallan's viewpoint.

New world symphony 4th movement, somewhere. Probably the final battle in Hero of Ages or some as yet unwritten battle in SA.
Ravel's Bolero for any Szeth assassination.
Climactic moments should be accompanied by the cannons in the 1812 overture. All climactic moments should have this music enclosed with the book.

Finished Monogatari second series, starting Azumanga Daioh and Fate/stay night and Space Battleship Yamato 2199. I realise that these have basically nothing in common.
BTW, if you love space stuff, you should watch legend of the galactic heroes, planetes, cowboy bebop, or the wings of honneamise. Or all of them!

In the excerpts from WoR, Jasnah reveals that the cryptics and her own spren are like princes among the spren, they are not the absolute leaders. They are in conflict with the honorspren, so it seems reasonable to assume that honorspren have a roughly comparable standing amongst their own kind. Syl mentions that the honorspren had been forbidden by the stormfather from going back into the physical world. This implies that the stormfather is "king" of the honorspren, and could be a spren himself. It stands to reason that there is also a leader of the cryptic side, which I think is the Nightmother.

The chapter does not necessarily end on a cliffhanger, we don't know what happens in chapter 7. It is probably a flashback but still.

Going back a few posts, the first ideal seams more like a general belief than an oath or vow which is what the others are. The two second ideals we have seen are both promises. I will...

So will someone ask Brandon if all the books in the series will be named after books in the series?

Mistborn crossover. Elend vs Shallan, who had the most abusive father, Vin can be judge as the person with the worst history of abuse. To make this happen, Sazed arrives on Roshar and crushes Odium. The series is over in 2 books and the rest of the series is spent advancing side plots excruciatingly slowly like in Crossroads of Twilight + a Rand cameo as
Moridin

But then it is difficult to get the bridge over to the other side of the chasm once everbody had crossed.
With regards to the Ardentia and soulcasting, Doc makes a good point, the ardents are technically property and I believe that all soulcasters are owned by the crown. I do not have a quote on this though so if anyone can find evidence for or against, that would be great. Also, as ardents cannot own property, I would imagine that the king, whoever it is, provides the gemstones used in soulcasting.
Having permanent bridges would save money in the long run. The armies would be able to get to the plateaus faster and so would suffer fewer casualties. The highprinces would then not have to outfit new troops, pay compensation to families etc. Either way, Dalinar and Elhokar could just build the bridges themselves, Dalinar would certainly see the benefits in them and the highprinces could not stop them.

The cost of soulcasting should not matter. Permanent bridges are useful enough that Dalinar and Sadeas would probably advise Elhokar to waive the soulcasting tax.
The Parshedi do not need bridges so having permanent bridges all the way out to the further plateaus would not make anything easier for them, especially as the bridges are going from the Alethi side.
Having a line of permanent bridges would be much more useful when Dalinar plans his assault on the Parshendi. Then they would be needed for supply lines and easy access to the armies.

But he would not take up the shardblade to become powerful like the other darkeyes who managed to kill a shardbearer, he would do it to protect his friends.

I thought the reason the cryptics are called lie spren was very simple - Jasnah mentions it in pretty much the same breath as the Honorspren and Cryptics having a dispute.
...now, if you are an honorspren, and a cryptic tells you something...it's probably the full truth while being a complete and utter deception. Now to an honorspren, that's exactly the same thing as lying...hence Honorspren named the cryptics 'liespren'.
To a cryptic, honorspren are probably odious and naive, who's opinions aren't worth a damnation.
Hence the 'dispute' between them.
So should we call them AesSedaispren

Kaladin does not hate lighteyes inherently, he hates that they lie and abuse the authority that they are given. He does not want to become one of them because he thinks it might change who he is. When the time comes, Kaladin will take up or create his own shards.

I think the barracks were a certain design because it minimises the amount of soul casting needed. Presumably, if they wanted, they could build an entire building out of wood and then soulcast each board into stone or metal or glass.

Inkthinker, you are probably right regarding the cavalry charge, it just seems like a waste of horses though s as they are much rarer than on Earth.
Also, with soulcasters, why don't they make the bridges out of a suitably light metal or other material, or at least make the frame metal?

I think that Kaladin will get a shardblade to set him up for getting an honorshard later.
I think the Radiants left behind their weapons to serve as some kind of defence should the voidbringers ever come back.

The horses that we know have only been around for 1500 years or so. Even in Alexander the Great's time, his heavy cavalry only had horses the size of ponies. The Shin probably have not implemented a breeding program for their horses so we should expect the horses to be even smaller than that. This is fiction, however, so guessing the heaviest warhorse outside of a Ryshadium is about the size of a medium sized warhorse seems about right. the weight I calculated was at .7 gravity with a man in light plate armour.
EDIT: for reference, 1kg is 2.2lbs. So the total weight of the horses and riders is about 8000lbs. The cavalry charge almost has to be 2 across per bridge because otherwise the cavalry would get isolated before the infantry would arrive. At this point the bridges probably don't really work because the horses would break them. The bridge could probably take the weight if they were walking but the boards may well break if they are at a gallop.

So if the bridge is just over 10m long, the chasms are probably around 5m across max because it gets difficult to stop the bridge from falling into the chasm otherwise. I do think that the bridge needs to be a bit thicker as it has to support a cavalry charge of about 8 horses at a time (2x4). The weight of a medium warhorse is around 450-540kg so including a guy with armour, the max weight for a horse is probably around 450kg on Roshar. That would make the weight that the bridge is supporting about 3600kg and the horses would be at a gallop.

I always thought that Preservation made it so whoever was to replace him had to be prepared so someone did not pick it up who could not defeat Ruin.

I do know, I just wrote that to prevent people from coming to this page reading the old versions when there are newer ones.

Or imagine a confused edgedancer keeper. " And the ball slips through his hands again! He can't even pick up the ball."

What about growth? You can hide the ball and no one will ever find it in the grass.

I doubt that Elhokar's spren is the same kind as Shallan's if only because I think Brandon would want to show us as wide a range of powers as possible.

Having read Aether of the Night, I think it's safe to say that it won't be published, at least, not in any recognisable form, because Brandon has used too many elements from it in other stories. Taldain has to be broken sky.
