  1. Having the attribute disappear makes the most sense to me.
  2. Maybe they do, but without noticing? or maybe they don't think it has anything to do with their Allomancy...
  3. But an Allomancer can only become a savant by constantly flaring his metal, no? And there isn't much point to flaring copper, is there? Unless to intentionally become a savant. Either way, seems kind of unfair that some metals induce negative effects when constantly flared, while others don't. Is it confirmed though?
  4. Social anxiety actually sounds pretty solid. But some of the other metals just don't make sense to me that they could have a negative effect on the body. Like Copper or Bronze... what could possibly go wrong? Let alone Steel/Iron and pretty much all the rest.
  5. So we know that being a Tin savant causes the Allomancer to feel numb while not burning Tin. We can also safely say that being a Pewter savant will cause the Allomancer to feel weak and tired while not burning Pewter. And maybe being a Gold savant will cause you to have a dissociative identity disorder while not burning Gold. But what about the rest? I haven't the slightest.
  6. I think my theory is pretty soild. I mean, we don't know what tapping investiture does, it could very well be useless on its own but while tapped it could enhance the metal you're burning, whatever it is. Edit: Maybe that's how TLR's soothing was so powerful. Edit 2: Actually, this is a much better theory that makes much more sense than mine.
  7. Umm I was talking about tapping Nicrosil, not burning it...
  8. In the wiki page about compounding it says there might be a way to enhance Allomancy with Feruchemy, and I think I figured it out: If you're a Twinborn, and your Feruchemical metal is Nicrosil, then if you tap investiture while burning your Allomantic metal it would be more powerful. Thoughts?
  9. Now I'm intrigued. What could compounding copper actually do? Leave the memories in your head for a few minutes after you store them or...?
  10. I can't really think of anything a Duralumin Gant can do, other than sacrificing himself with Hemalurgy and having someone else take it. Actually, there's a better way: Steal an Allomantic power from someone with Hemalurgy. This actually sounds like a good idea for a story: A guy hates the fact his ability is useless, so he decides to learn Hemalurgy and become a villain, stealing powers from others.
  11. If you can't affect metals in body with Allomancy because of investiture, then why can you affect the mind with Allomancy?
  12. So far, every Misting whose metal appears in his nickname also has an alternate nickname (other than Gnats). Pewterarms are also Thugs. Copperclouds are also Smokers. Yes, that's just two, but still. Tineyes are just Tineyes and I think they should have an extra nickname. My suggestion: Sensor. Also, seeing as Aluminum Gnats aren't completely useless, they should have a name too I think. My suggestion: Purifier.
  13. Wayne should be played by Robert Downey Jr.
  14. Kind off seems like deus ex machina imho.
  15. Just finished it, and I'm a bit disappointed. Don't get me wrong, the story was interesting, but the glossary talked about those cool new Allomancers and Ferrings while in the book there were no Leechers, Nicrobursts, Gnats, Oracles, and barely any Ferrings. Also, I've read in another thread before finishing the book about Miles surviving a beheading and I thought I read a spoiler, but no such scene was in the book. So where is it from?
  16. Have a needles poking out of the handle of your knife/sword, welded into it, and when you hold it have the needle pierce your flesh. Inconvenient, sure, but can save your life. Question: How did the trick with the coin inside Zane's mouth even worked? I thought a metal had to pierce your flesh or be in your stomach in order to not be affected by Allomancy. Otherwise, will holding a coing inside your fist also work? And if not, what's the difference?
  17. Enough for 300 years? Seems unlikely.
  18. All the Atium was gone at the end of HoA. Marsh might have had some Atium beads in reserve, but surely not for 300 years? I was entertaining the idea that Harmony provided it to him, but he clrealy stated it's not his job to have favorites, but actually quite the contrary. So how is Marsh still around?
  19. Twinborns are rare though, and same metal Twinborns are even rarer.
  20. Say there is an object that weighs like two people. What happens if two Coinshots Push on in at the same time? Will they both be moved backwards, or will their combined Push move the object forward?
  21. A double Chromium Twinborn. Compounding luck would just make life so freaking epic.
  22. The Pro Bending Arena in Legend of Korra is pretty awesome, which is why I find it weird there are no Allomantic sports yet in Scadrial. But until then, what do you think they could be? Well the obvious sport can be a Pushing match between Coinshots and a Pulling match between Lurchers, but that's not really all that exciting; it's more of an Allomantic arm wrestling than an actual sport. Do you have any ideas? Feruchemical sports also welcome.
  23. He's indeed an exceptionally busy writer; most fantasy novelists rarely focus on more than one series at the time, and certainly not as many as Brandon. This, of course, is double edged sword. I mean, considering how good his books are, just imagine how much better they could have been had he only focused on one series at a time. But hey, what do I know, I'm not a writer.
  24. Good points, but as I originally said, I'd be fine with just one book. Also, I'm pretty sure that so far, historically, he's written more than 1 book per year.
