  1. It depends on whether Ara'ngar views him/herself as a man or a woman, in my opinion.
  2. The place "nearest to Honor" almost certainly means Honor's Shardpool. Just saying.
  3. The Worldbringers existed before TRL did. You're thinking of the Keepers.
  4. Also, Dalinar knows what his boon was, and he shows no indication of thinking that Navani is his dead wife, which he would know if he knew his boon, and his boon was bringing his dead wife back as Navani.
  5. I was basing it off of the Ars Arcana chart. Order 9 is the only one that deals with stone, so it seemed a logical assumption to me. If the Windrunner's essence is Zephyr, then it seems logical that the Stonewardens have Stone (or in this case, Talus) as their essence. We don't know for sure, but I find it hard to believe that any other order is the Stonewardens.
  6. Burning the Tears is an interesting idea. I like the idea, but I imagine that there might be some problems with the body "recognizing" the flowers as a burnable substance. Brightsand is off the table, though. Alcatraz isn't part of the Cosmere.
  7. Let's start out with a limmerick: Out of the sea stepped a little old man,
  8. This thread is similar to the three word story thread, only instead of making a story, we'll be making poems! Each person adds one line of the poem. When that poem is finished, we'll continue on with another poem! Admissible poetry forms include: Keteks Limericks (clean, please!) Haikus (ukiaHaiku festival standard) Haikus (5-7-5 Westernization*) Shakespearean Sonnets Bad rhymes are completely acceptable, and don't worry if you have to bend the meter to make it fit. That's where the fun is! If you have any poetry form you would like to add to the list, link its rules, and (if it's time for a new poem) start it out! Try to avoid anything longer than a sonnet, though. (No, epic poetry is not an acceptable poetry form!) Completed poems: *or more accurately, misunderstanding
  9. about the 16%, Preservation took a deliberate hand in making sure that the mists would Snap exactly 16%, in order to draw people's attention to the number.
  10. He strikes you as Resourceful/Dependable? (that is the stonewarden Order, right?) He strikes me as either Creative/Honest, or Loving/Healing.
  11. Or a way of traveling through time, like Hoid does. (We still don't know how he does that)
  12. I feel like this must have been asked before, but I can't find the answer. If the mists didn't snap nobles, and skaa can't become Allomancers, who were the mists snapping?
  13. Going back to a much earlier quote in the thread: Remember - most Dula don't/can't become Elantrians. I don't think having magical powers/being immortal is a requirement for being part of the Seventeenth Shard.
  14. I like this. Especially as I'm pretty sure that Scadrialians have light skin, due to the whole ash-blocking-the-sky thing. Remember, Demoux is a Seer. I wonder if that helps get you access to Shadesmar...
  15. More likely, Edison was putting out his many patents, and then one misty night, a tall figure with iron spikes in his eyes appeared in Edison's house... After that, he stopped putting out patents for things he didn't invent.
  16. Anything beyond our solar system, they'll be using the FTL method Brandon has mentioned.
  17. Would a spiritual connection formed by an awakener of the 10th Heightening be... A Rainbow Connection?

  19. Oooh! Maybe on this world, Tesla will beat Edison, and we'll actually get some of his awesome inventions!
  20. Vin's metal dust trick. It will be less effective than it was against Inquisitors, but it could still mess up Coinshots and Lurchers.
  21. Welcome! Have a cookie.
  22. that awaited the
  23. I don't see how this would generate infinite power. It doesn't seem much different (to me) from attaching an object to a string. Also, I don't think infinite power is possible. Arbitrarily large power, on the other hand, is possibly possible.
  24. Actually, we do. Wax mentions that Wayne is flaring his metal at one point, to give them as much time as possible (I think it's at the first meeting with him)
  25. Also, remember Kaladin's "ride the storm" dream. That could be flying as well.
