  1. As we well know, no story is ever complete without the circumstances that give it context. I wholeheartedly approve.
  2. We REALLY don't want Dalinar to die, because if he does, it will be in the Constest of Champions, and then Dalinar would be Odium's champion forever. Which would be terrifying. Really don't want that to happen.
  3. I like this, especially considering that the Spren are a part of the natural world and the Radiants owe their power to the Spren and the Surges, the natural laws that govern reality. Certainly things to think about.
  4. @Trusk'our, Know that I support your premise. While the applications of Lerasium do have a much broader range, future sight grants knowledge. Knowledge grants preparation. And preparation saves lives. To seek knowledge is a worthy goal, and Atium supports that cause. Sadly, as I am only a Lurcher, I would not be able to use Atium, so I would have to choose Lerasium. But I understand and emphasize with your stance.
  5. "This is life, and I will not lie by saying every day will be sunshine. But there will be sunshine again, and that is a very different thing to say." - Hoid, 1175.4.10.4
  6. In all honesty, I've read every single book Brandon has ever written, and I still don't consider myself a Sanderfan. You're in good company.
  7. Wise man. I, myself, am a weirdo that hungered for the old days. I play unmodded backloaded 1.2.3 because I like the interface way better. Call me silly. Oh. And Xbox 360 Skyrim Wizard only run. I'm nostalgic.
  8. An old and nostalgic favorite, "Tasell" by C418 from the Minecraft creative soundtrack. That and the rest of the second update album makes my soul beg for past times and grander ascensions to come.
  9. Well, Marsh has lived for several hundred years now. Is there any reason he couldn't have done in depth study of his condition in all of that time? He is also Harmony's agent when it comes to dealing with Hemalurgists.
  10. C17H35COONa + Being = 1(C6H10O5) I have become one with a stick on the chemical level.
  11. Oh dear. I even researched this, as I was sure I had heard something about it before, but found nothing. Please, forgive me. I was... relatively certain.
  12. Happy birthday, he who is one of our order! I am glad our paths have crossed in this shining corridor of the cosmos!

  13. Ah. So not a no, but simply not enough information. I see.
  14. Do Ryshadium have gemhearts? He have heard of their stone hooves and their strength; seeming adaptions to the beautiful tempest that is Roshar. But we also have heard of them bonding spren, musicspren specifically. Do these spren reside in a gemheart like they would in Singers, or are Ryshadium too closely related to humans to have gemhearts? The Ultimate Archivist
  15. I'm not sure I agree this idea. It's certainly possible, but I feel like it wouldn't really fit in with the "Immortal Glowing Knight" idea that still takes precedence in the Radiant story. I do believe that the Fifth Ideal grants access to a Ryshadium, one that is maybe faster or stronger than others. We already know that Ryshadium use spren, specifically musicspren. Perhaps, just like the other two Shards involve bonding spren (Radiant for the Blade and lesser spren for each piece of Plate) bonding a Ryshadium will have something to do with bonding the spren that lthe Ryshadium has. However, we can always trust Brandon to keep us on our toes! The Ultimate Archivist.
  16. I got Windrunner my first time with Stoneward second, but took it again recently with Elsecaller first and Skybreaker second. However, it was all four neck and neck. I didn't think to take a screenshot sadly. Looks like I could fit in many different orders. I'll take it!
  17. What about Adin? The boy Kaladin put his armor on? He was willing to sacrifice himself, but at the last moment, realized he didn't want to die? Just speculations. Heinous. A perfect word. I'm still leaning towards the Adolin theory, but I hadn't considered this. It is almost certain it will be someone it will be hard for Dalinar to fight, not physically, but morally.
  18. Yes, Metal minds and Primer Cubes. Typically, I like to think of something as complicated as a modern combustion engine: many small Investiture techs working in concert to achieve a greater and more intricate action. Things like construction equipment, modern weaponry, and home appliances. But it keeps cycling back to the same problem; is Investiture all that great of a fuel? Is it common enough to be used everyday? And is the work it accomplishes as efficient or as powerful? Magic can accomplish things with greater ease. But it is also much less available in the hands of common man. In order to get Allomancy to a normal person, we need Primer Cubes. In order to get Feruchemy to someone, we need unkeyed metalminds. Unless you want to use Hemalurgy... My point being, perhaps the technological age we seek for Scadrial is not as magic centric as we hoped. Perhaps only certain technologies can be enhanced by magic systems, and they build these more complicated and rarer systems on the backs of normal processes. We saw a lot of this in the second era, where guns and electricity were fairly common, but coinshots were still relatively rare. Are you seeing my point? A way out of this that I can see with minimal damage involves hemalurgic compounders. Men and women who gain a spike to make dozens of unkeyed metalminds and charge Primer Cubes to help the common folk. Hemalurgic compounding would be a great benefit; imagine strike teams, each with metalminds containing speed, strength, mental thought, and other attributes. An era 4 military of incredible power. I am wandering now. But the ideas continue to flow! Each man has a "survival pack" with a full unkeyed metalmind of each attribute that can keep him alive when he is in danger. What happens when each Scadrial soldier has a Band of Mourning? And it all comes from the Hemalurgic Compounders. I know I totally got distracted. Then again, this conversation is "Rambling about technology in era 4". But still, what are all of your thoughts? The Ultimate Archivist
  19. Returning to the concept of futuristic technomancy, I find this the perfect place to implement a theory of mine. @Trusk'our is already aware of this; we discussed the possibility of Awakened Primer Cubes. In considering this, we may find Cubes whose command had been altered; now when charged, they only push or pull on certain metals or emotions, or activate at certain times or under certain circumstances. I thought this was about the coolest idea that had crossed my mind. However, the earlier concerns are correct; Harmonium is scarce. Human attributes are not. If we focus on Feruchemical charges as power in an Awakened Metalmind, perhaps even more complicated machinery could be produced. Let's discuss! Also sorry if I missed something in the earlier conversations and you guys already talked about this. Trying to keep up; you guys are fast! The Ultimate Archivist
  20. Depends... its not a Cookie Clicker cookie, is it? Those are evil. Otherwise, definitely!
  21. You know you are a Sanderfan when your newer friend asks what the Wheel of Time is and you respond with "There's always another secret."
  22. As an adult male in this society... I adore it! Beautiful show, very kind and with lots of small tidbits that keep it fun! Phew. So glad there is no shame here.
  23. Have a wonderful day of birthday celebration!
