The Battle for the Sandwich
Faerie Braids replied to AltonicKeys's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
As you ride away from the battle, your thestral steed rounds a cliff edge, and slams suddenly into a massive web. Though you struggle to escape the entrapping filaments, they are much too sticky. In mere moments, a horde of tiny spiders appear whisk the sandwich from your grasp, returning it, once more, to the Seventeenth Swarm.- 13681 replies

Why would you summon an elder demon in the school parking lot?! *shrug* I don't really mind either way.

Six Word Novels
Faerie Braids replied to Through the Living Elan's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
For anyone who catches the reference, I just realised that this is an existing six-word novel, and that knowledge is making me sob even harder: "It's you" "It's me" "Orpheus" "Eurydice" -

Having a Bad Day?: Get 'yer Hugs here!!

That is so cool! The tassels, especially, look exactly like I imagined them from the books!

Honestly, I just like having long nails because, when I paint them, they look like colourful talons! *Harpy noises* And if that was not sufficient, here is my official contribution of weird thoughts: It is impossible to properly punch your own reflection, because they always turn it into a fist bump! Very frustrating...

Hello, and welcome to the Shard! Choosing favourites is really hard, but I must say that my favorite Sanderson books are the Stormlight Archive, and my favourite non-Sanderson books are the Lumatere Chronicles trilogy by Melina Marchetta.

What would the other Shard's surges be?
Faerie Braids replied to Elite01's topic in Cosmere Discussion
In terms of fundamental forces, I think Ruin is a perfect match for entropy, which could be similar to Division, though we have not seen that surge used in-book, yet. I almost feel Whimsy could be a good fit for a Fortune based ability, if only in the sense that the idea of luck is very capricious and unreliable. Indeed, maybe a Shard that is all about unpredictability would be skilled at manipulating randomness and chance. -

The Person Below Me
Faerie Braids replied to The Awakened Salad's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Nope, not at all. I find outdoor temperatures over 20°C to be quite uncomfortable, and the region I live in is filled with forest fires for most of July and August. TPBM likes gardening. -

Sanderson "Would you Rather"
Faerie Braids replied to KnightRadiant's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Larkin! They are different enough from any real-world animal to be really cute, whereas axehounds are close enough to dogs that I find them a little bit creepy. WYR be a spren trapped in a gemstone, or an inquisitor controlled by Ruin?- 954 replies

Certified Gay Disasters
Faerie Braids replied to Delightful's topic in Social Groups, Clans, & Guilds
That is so wonderful to hear! I don't think it is at all unusual for these thoughts to appear suddenly, like you are describing; in my own experience, at least, I have had several that felt very unexpected. They seemed to come out of nowhere, though, looking back, I think that they had been building for a long time. Honestly, there is no universal timeline to being certain you are correct, and, in fact, as long as you feel comfortable and safe in doing so, experimenting with different pronouns, names, clothing, etc, when you are uncertain can be really helpful in finding what feels best for you. Working out your gender identity can definitely be tricky and shifting perceptions can feel sudden and uncertain, so the best advice I can give is simply to go for what feels right, because nothing is set in stone. Finally, just know that, no matter where you land, you will always be accepted, welcomed, supported, and celebrated here exactly for who you are. -
Long Game 99: Scourges of the Saturated Seas
Faerie Braids replied to Sart's topic in Sanderson Elimination
That was a wild final day to watch! Very well played, elim team, especially the two newer players. Also, thanks to Sart for running the game! I learned quite a bit from this game, and had a lot of fun. -
Thanks for the tip; I couldn't remember if spoiler season was six months or one year and wanted to be careful. As for your question, there is no actual evidence that the Hion are Godspren, but if I recall correctly, most, if not all, of the hion lines of each colour are connected across Komashi, and two massive chunks of Virtuosity's investiture seem, to me, like decent candidates for Virtuosity's theoretical Godspren, similar to the Mists on Scadrial.

No, but today is the first day of Spring Break, for me, so I am at least on vacation away from school! TPBMIGAIA
