My biggest qualm with an unmade talking to Kaladin is that he’s in Urithiru. It’s not confirmed, but it feels like it should repel the unmade and prevent communication.
People seem to think that all of the shards have a balance of power. I don’t think this is necessarily true. There were a lot of people who thought that the sibling was Odiums spren. Preservation and Ruin had a balance, but Roshar isn’t the same.
Based on what Hoid said, I think the wind is similar to the stormfather and nightwatcher, except without Shard interference. It’s weaker, but still ancient and intelligent.
There are plenty of Shallan theories, but now you’re making me wonder if Kaladin is related to a herald or something. He’s the “child of Tanavast”. Maybe his survival curse is more than a coincidence…
A lot of the surges ARE broken in combat against a non-radiant (without counting blade and plate). You can lash someone up, and they’ll die when they fall. You can soulcast someone into rock. You can stick them to the ground and kill then from a distance. You can blind them with an illusion. You could create a pit under them.
Harmonium is a metal made of Lerasium and Atium. I don’t think we’ve seen anyone mix preservation and ruins mists. Harmonium is dangerous enough on its own. What would happen if you mixed their mists and created anti-harmony mists? Seems very dangerous considering how explosive anti-stormlight was.
