  1. Every shard has a light, in theory. They also all have metals. However, Roshar is currently the only world with easy access to the light.
  2. Raboniel is convinced that Stormlight and Voidlight can’t mix because they’re opposites. However, Navani proves her wrong by creating war-light. However, I’m curious what you would get if you tried to mix preservation's light and ruin’s light. I’m not sure Honor and Odium are opposite, but Preservation and Ruin have been stated many times to be completely opposing forces. It should be harder to mix them I’m guessing that you could mix without much trouble, but I have no idea what it would be called.
  3. Right, forgot about that one!
  4. I picture their relationship more of siblings, with Syl being the annoying little sister (who also grants Kal powers). They love and care for each other, but not romantically. Syl is growing up in a sense as she doesn’t really remember much before she bonded Kaladin, so her actions in WaT are more of her figuring out how she wants to express her self. She’s more mature than when she first bonded Kaladin and she now started deciding who she wants to be. She also spent pretty much all of WoK and WoR hidden, so she’s also still adjusting to interacting with the general world (OB and RoW didn’t give her much time for that). Kaladin recognizes that she is growing and realizes (like older siblings do) that she is isn’t a child anymore and has grown up.
  5. Did you mean that RoW has major Elantris references? Because I can’t think of any in OB, but there are definitely some in RoW, and you didn’t mention Elantris there.
  6. Shard (and others) can talk to people, provided they have enough cracks in their soul to let the shard in. We see Kelsier talk to Vin and others a few times without them being spiked. The spikes just make it easy by connecting them to ruin. Honor was alive for most of the early radiants, so nobody would have thought it weird. After he died, the radiants ended pretty quick. The heralds are a bit insane and unreliable. There are a few other times that other characters have heard an unexplained voice. Plus, people might not have written it down because they don’t want to sound crazy. To expand based on what others have said, Tanavasts cognitive shadow merged with the stormfather, but it seems like they are somewhat separate and speak differently. One in Italics and one in UPPER CASE.
  7. Steve with a pickaxe
  8. Granted, but now he gets to skip ahead to his second life. I wish for a pile of 100$ bills
  9. You’re missing out. I also enjoy mandarin oranges or apple slices on pizza. Fight me
  10. I have a cup of Raman; do you have anything to heat it up with? That sounds about right, except the part about the flaming porcupine.
  11. Yes, I definitely like Venli gets sidelined, but Ooficially it’s their book. So it’s not quite the same thing as Dalinar being the main character in OB. Szeth might not even end up as the biggest character in WaT. It was originally going to be Dalinar’s book until he switched it with book 3.
  12. That reminds me…
  13. Sanderson's explanation for plot convenience
  14. Granted. The next day you are sent back to the future. I wish for an ice cream cone.
  15. What do you mean? Dalinar is the only flashback character to write the title book. Rhythm of War was by Navani and Raboniel, not Venli or Eshonai.
  16. Slow McDonalds service
  17. Kaladin:
  18. Chaos, who is a beta reader and has probably already read WaT
  19. That’s an interesting idea, but if the investiture gained sentience, then that doesn’t explain how weak it sounded. It would also make it tricky for Kaladin to ascend if the shard developed a personality.
  20. Dalinar, the man who continually defies the diagram
