  1. A thousand images flashed through his mind. He immediately thought of the people he had once known. Jake, Viyla, Kolos. All victims. The bard knew it with all his heart. Fire was death. And if the master was fire, then the master was death. Cruel, pointless, death that had taken so many things away. "If he is fire, then his flame shall be put out. And as violently as possible." The bard said, overcome with anger. "Good", his master said. "Take your bonus for the key from the door guard. I trust you shall accomplish your mission?" "Yes," the bard said, and started walking up the stairs.
  2. His master was in the room, but he was standing up and his clothes were all messy. "Ah, Ah yes. What news do you have about the key?" He asked. He suddenly seemed very formal. "I got it right here," the bard said. He held out the key. He knew better than to question the master. Though he did wonder what in the world they were talking about, that wasn't his job. "You know," he said in a conniving tone. " I think it's about time I let you in on a secret" He took the key but kept looking straight at him with a grin.
  3. My favorite is Totk but I also really like Smash Bros Ultimate
  4. Through the door, the bard heard. "We can't keep going on with this" a high-pitched voice said " The people are getting worried, and even suspicious of everyone. If we continue, we're gonna get caught." "You don't need to worry." A lower voice said." We will be able to finish the job by the end of the month, and we'll have exactly what we need.
  5. I haven't read Elantris in a while but it would still depend a lot on the Elantrian's drawings skill. If it's a 5th ideal radiant they would have been doing it for a while but an Elantrian could have been one for any amount of time. Which one has more investiture again? Its the Elantrian, right?
  6. YKYASFW you lick your hands after playing the saxophone ( a brass instrument) and then try to soothe your band teacher when he gets mad at you about it.
  7. It would be really horrible and I would hate it as well but it is a possible outcome in the 5th book
  8. He continued onward, the image of ash vivid in his mind. He tried to block it out, he tried to not think, but it was too horrible a sight. He only started feeling calm once he reached the place where his master dwelled. He opened a door into a large, hollowed-out tree, He then turned to the left and passed the door guard, a large Thrinthian man, they didn't speak the same language but he seemed like a nice enough fella. They nodded to each other and the bard went down the spiral staircase into his master's room.
  9. you might not have to draw the brain exactly, you would just need a drawing that is just pretty detailed. The chalkling wouldn't be as smart that way but it could still be at least somewhat sentient.
  10. As he headed back, the veil was still over his pops. If this ended up being a reoccurring thing that would greatly affect him on the missions. But his mind actually wasn't on the pops, it was on the smart kiab. That was very worrying, the way it looked at him, almost like it could think like a person. If other kiabs started to be like that, They would become infinitely more dangerous. He decided to not tell anyone about it yet. After he gave the key to his buyers, he would have to come back and end the life of that kiab.
  11. What About Syl? In Row we found out Ishar made spren physical and somehow killed them. So couldn't it be possible for one of the Radiant's spren to die? If Ishar attempts this could he kill Syl. The deaths in the last two books really affected Kaladin the most so whoever dies in the 5th book might as well be very damaging to Kaladin.
  12. He tried his pops again, but they still seemed to not work, like something here kept them distant. Well, the bard could just do this the old-fashioned way. He leaped tree to tree, branch to branch. Luckily most of the kiabs were confused from the bard breaking out. They were just kiabs after all, most of them were just as dumb as ever. As he got farther away, he felt his pops coming back to him. He tried them again and they finally worked! Delighted, he used his pops to try to go back to the key and his apprentice. but as he got closer, he felt his pops slipping beyond that strange veil again. What in the Trees? This time though, he was able to land on a branch and not hit his head.
  13. After another shout from one of the kiabs, the smart kiab ordered the others again, and pretty soon the bards apprentice was being pelted with rocks. His apprentice weathered it pretty well and almost escaped, before a particularly large rock was thrown and clonked him on the head. He fell face flat on the branch, and a small object fell out of his pocket. The Key! the bard thought. The key fell down almost 15 feet and landed on a small inch-wide branch with no other branches large enough to stand on around it. "Darn this whole Forest" he yelled out into the air in frustration.
  14. I would rather choose honor or preservation. Being a full Mistborn would be awesome, especially toying with others' emotions. But having the powers of a surge-binder would be amazing as well especially having a spren to help guide me in what is right or honorable. I'd probably choose preservation though, its a bit more useful in modern-day life.
  15. Wow, I had absolutely no idea how many people on here were LDS. No one in my ward is on the 17th shard so I falsely assumed not many people were.
  16. He tried to use his pops, but it didn't work at all. "These really are darn trees," he thought. The seemingly smart kiab then walked up to him holding a sturdy-looking stick like a weapon. But the blow never came, the kiab seemed to be... waiting for something.
  17. I figured out or at least thought about Huck being Charlie when he started talking about his family because his story just seemed way to far-fetched to be true.
  18. So she rejected Odium and that was when she started using stormlight but it wasn't for a long time like Kaladin because she was still in the grasp of Odium with the Stormspren in her gemheart?
  19. SA is definitely my personal favorite out of the books/series but Yumi is my next favorite because the book was just so good with the worldbuilding and the climax.
  20. But in SA3 doesn't it say that Eshonai (not sure if SA3 is allowed in this post so I'll put it in a spoiler box) Does that mean some Surgebinders would be able to and some could not?
  21. I third this because I believe he is definitely not a hoed, but again the pain was so great, and for so long that he has all the mental symptoms of being a hoed but almost none of the physical symptoms. It could just be Insanity that caused it otherwise and all the stormlight in a perpendicularity that came into him that made him come out of his stupor.
  22. I don't think this will be the last we see of the noodle shop either. As for being unhappy with the ending, I'm not as upset with it as some are, but I do wish we could've seen what Yumi's and Painter's reactions would be if they were there when Hoid unfroze and started moving again Haha
  23. I might be a little late on this topic but this turned out to be one of my favorite cosmere books. All Sanderson books are amazing but I wasn't bored with any part of this book and couldn't put it down, unlike during some of Shallan's chapters at the very beginning of Stormlight. I really enjoy the character building and finding out Painter's backstory. I really enjoyed that Yumi didn't die at the end but it kind of undermined her sacrifice. It could have been a better ending if along with Yumi some of the other Torish people survived but I'm not sure how Brandon could have made that one work. One of my favorite things was seeing what Painter and Yumi thought about each other's world, like Yumi with the Dramas and Noodle shops as well as Painter with the heat from the ground and flying trees. Also, the magic system was awesome and brand new full of real nightmares of being defeated by Painters! I would never have been able to come up with that. The story also had amazing and creative world-building when scholars just tried to make energy for their people, and then it ended making their planet thrown into an endless night made up of ancient souls lasting thousands of years. But it would have been awesome to find out the astronauts' crazy reactions when they look back at their home world and find the Shroud completely gone. Overall this is an amazing book and is definitely one of my favorite Sanderson books so far.
  24. YKYASF when your sister offers you money to read the cosmere and you end up reading it more than her.
  25. Unpopular Opinion- Jasnah is a boring character and I hope she disappears in SA5
