The next day is the big day. You're not sure if you have any sponsors (for those of you who don't know, a sponsor is someone who can give you useful gifts in the arena at highly inflated prices. They bet on the winner, so the better chance they think you have of winning, the more sponsors. The entirety of Panem, which is the country in which you live, is watching the Games live.), but you all hope for the best.
When you are lowered into the arena, you are on a circular plot of land in the center of a wide circle lake. Beyong the lake are woods, mountains, and plains. I've included a (very) rough map of the arena.
You each begin on metal platforms on the central plateau. At the center of the plateau, there is what looks like a massive cake, except instead of frosting and dough, it's made of items useful for survival. At the very top of the cornucopia are the most useful items; bows and arrows, bags full of the best supplies. At the bottom are worse gear, but still decent. Strewn across the plateau and in the lake floating on makeshift rafts are more mundane items; neon backpacks, empty waterskins and the like.
None of you were allowed any metalminds upon entery, but each tribute is allowed a district token. You may have chosen one with your metal, just nothing Invested. Same with Allomantic metals.
The timer reaches one and the games begin. "May the odds be ever in your favor!" I announce as the tributes start dashing for their prizes.
