  1. Did it say that creating technology based on Epic powers was impossible? Because I'm pretty sure that the books said that all the cool new inventions like graviometrics (sp?) or that gauss gun were based off of Epic powers.
  2. I bet if we counted up the number of rural Veden men who died around a year before, you'd end up with a few dozen at least. I simply don't think it's nearly as ironclad as Shalash seems to be.
  3. I agree about Shalash, but I am less certain about Shallan's brother. I haven't been following that theory of late, but last I checked, the evidence amounted to Shallan's Veden brother died, and the man who tried to kill Amaram was also Veden and also died. Have I missed some other developments? Because all the evidence I can think of right now is mostly circumstantial.
  4. Trooooool. This cracked me up
  5. Oh no, I didn't mind or anything. You did a rocking job, and got me a laugh at the same time. It just seemed ironic, you know?
  6. I laughed out loud when I got blamed for the bubble question. The calendar one made sense, considering I bugged Brandon about that at SpoCon, but I'm pretty uninterested in time bubbles beyond the, "wow that's really cool, can't wait to see how characters use it".
  7. I gotcha covered. Can't wait for that interview and the Kaladin chapter. Thanks so much.
  8. Actually they do mention the Almighty. Here And here Shallan mentions something called "Proving Day" which I think was, at least in mythology, how the Heralds were chosen. Probably set seemingly impossible tasks to complete.
  9. I would love to see if an Aon could do something through the border of a time bubble, or whether the investitures would interfere with one another.
  10. I don't recall any mention of how strong highstorms are in Aimia.
  11. I've personally never heard anything about angles or whatnot.
  12. Buy. That was an easy one. Spoiler Emperor's Soul
  13. As far as I know, we've never received a total number of lerasium beads that have existed. Peter's comment about the "extra" bead came when people were simply tallying up the known number of beads.
  14. You can perform multiple lashings, accelerating something to many times the speed of regular gravity, likely far faster than a person's weight would be able to help a Steelpush.
  15. Kind of, I mean became a lerasium Mistborn.
  16. Double post because I thought of an obvious question that should settle some arguments. If you don't have space for any more at this point, it's cool. Did The Lord Ruler use lerasium to gain his super Allomancy or did he grant that to himself with the Well's power. If he used a bead, does he count as one of the Nine original Allomancers that Sazed mentions?
  17. I personally have never heard that.
  18. I don't think that it's necessarily heavily Shard related. Killing of the apex predator of an ecosystem is devestating to the area. All of the creatures it hunts will become overpopulated, outgrow their food source, and then die off.
  19. Shalash is a female Herald, unfortunately. Maybe he's someone else though.
  20. If they can't pull at the core of their own planet, I doubt they'd be able to affect the hypothetical moon.
  21. I try to stay hopeful on that last one, considering that, if I recall correctly, Brandon said that Sazed had not yet learned how to reach the place she is now, which doesn't preclude the possibility of him figuring it out.
  22. I tend to agree with king of nowhere. Kel was at the very highest end of what is possible skill-wise with Pushing and Pulling, so perhaps this is simply outside the scope of a normal Allomancer's abilities, like how most Copperclouds are unable to shield the emotions of others.
  23. Unless I'm misremembering, I think there are five gems in the chest plate. I'd imagine with one in each limb somewhere and one in the helmet, but that's just speculation.
  24. Steelheart is not cosmere. EDIT: But Sixth of the Dusk is cosmere. Also, welcome to the forums!
  25. How about: How and when are you planning on releasing Sixth of the Dusk, the cosmere short story you wrote for Writing Excuses?
