  1. The stuff on Jasnah and Shallan in Shadesmar is over here. Not every Radiant served in a combat role. Some powers were probably useful for other things.
  2. Meh, Brandon already killed Peter off in the beginning of Alloy of Law.
  3. Wow, Feather. The quality of your Renarin article makes me consider changing my mind on the tense thing. I need to ponder some more.
  4. Brandon called it Travel, so I'm innocent in all this.
  5. I tend to agree with Joe on character articles. To me, when you're writing about a universe with a timeline stretched over millenia, writing about people in present tense doesn't make too much sense, especially when they've died onscreen, like the Lord Ruler did. I tend to have more trouble with cultural things such a spheres. To say that spheres "were a currency used on Roshar," seems kind of odd, but I'm not overly concerned, especially considering what's been said about other fan wikis.
  6. That last question was answered in that audio Eric posted recently. It can be either or. Most of the time Shallan just goes in with her eyes clothes, but Jasnah prefers to physical enter Shadesmar.
  7. I think it's probably Elsecallers. I'm intrigued by the tenth Surge that Brandon chose not to reveal...
  8. Did someone remove it? That's really odd. Just because it's available in the Steelhunt doesn't mean your transcription of the reading should have been taken down...
  9. Are you reporting a question that was asked? Do we have any explicit confirmation that the seasons are based off the highstorms? I didn't even know that it had been confirmed that Roshar has no axial tilt.
  10. Thank you Weiry. Serendipity, we don't allow any Dragonsteel spoilers (or any from any of Brandon's unpublished works, excluding Mythwalker I suppose) as per Brandon's request. I edited your post to remove the spoilers. If you know someone on the boards who has read Dragonsteel, feel free to strike up a PM discussion, but just not anywhere public. Thank you!
  11. Her name is Eshonai, by the way. You might remember her if you paid careful attention during TWoK.
  12. Man, booked for the whole year already? That's pretty awesome, although I guess we're almost to 2014... O.o
  13. But that's the thing. If it's got a spren, is charged, (maybe that wire thing) and has a specific type of cut it is a fabrial, it doesn't need to be attached to anything. But for example, if Navani wanted to build an elevator, theoretically she could make a reverser out of an amethyst and the two resulting gems would fabrials. They don't need to be attached to an elevator to be a fabrial. This is kind of getting into semantics though.
  14. Well, a fabrial is just a gemstone cut in a certain way that contains a spren and has been charged with Stormlight to produce an effect. If it's attached to something else, like the pain knife, it's referred to as a machine. So the stone could be a fabrial.
  15. Personally, I've never heard that either, but then again I don't live in Utah and hang out with Brandon.
  16. As far as I can recall, Brandon has never said that every Shard has a pool. In fact, he said that Harmony destroyed both the Well and the Pits when Sazed Ascended, so presumably he didn't have one then.
  17. I think he's referring to the actual glossary of Aons in Elantris, Joe. I'm not sure Darnam, I've wondered this myself for quite some time.
  18. Challenge Accepted. Sorry about that, most of our real-people articles suck. I'll get on it tomorrow afternoon.
  19. I'm pretty sure the abilities are the same for adjacent orders. After all, Transformation is interpreted as Soulcasting by two adjacent orders.
  20. For your first question, I'm pretty sure that Szeth's grandfather is a dead-end question wise. Szeth's father is probably still living and doesn't want to be connected to his Truthless son anymore. I don't think there are any interesting answers to be found there, and on the off chance that there are, you'll probably be RAFO'd and told to wait for Stones Unhallowed.
  21. Hah, it was the Hero of Ages Q&A back on TWG I do believe.
  22. I doubt it's really a name of an order. I'm fairly certain that it's a title of one of the Heralds, like "Stonesinew".
  23. Kel's in the Cognitive Realm.
  24. Logically, I'd assume that they're probably the second order then, and Brandon got mixed up while explaining shared surges. Or Josh could simply have misremembered, I asked him which Brandon had pointed to days after the fact.
  25. Buy. They're going to figure out eventually how the Epics came to be, it stands to reason that they'll figure out how to unmake them. Kaladin will never get a Shardspear.
