  1. Brandon (or maybe Jordan, idk) set up AMoL so well with epilogue. The entire book is Tarmon Gai'don and I loved it. 900 pages of glorious battle. Best ending ever to a series
  2. Quickly, everyone go read about Sir William Marshall!

    Spoiler

The real Top G(reatest knight that ever lived)

  3. I will not be joining either. Y'all have fun killin' each other!
  4. Just watched the last episode of WoT season two. That was a f*cking disappointment

It's a shame we live in a world where ONE PIECE has a better live action adaption than The Wheel of Time

Even though I stopped reading WoT: YES. WoT deserves better. The character work alone.

It does! And the middle episodes were so good, too... it just fell so far in so little time

  5. Sometimes. It depends on if I have a costume or not. TPBM likes to ship characters who will probably never get together.
  6. Opinion of the day #12: stop telling people that their build in a game is bad and let them play the way they want.

    Spoiler

Unless you're doing a dex build in Dark Souls. Strength>dex always

  7. Interesting. I remember hating Gawyn up until that moment. Probably because of what it did to Egwene
  8. The other way around, usually. TPBM has thirteen of the same random thing in their room.
  9. No. (Not yet) TPBM personally knows someone who made the NYT list.
  10. I get it. When I asked my girlfriend out the first time, I was so scared she would say no that I powered my phone off, plugged it in, and went on a walk for an hour.
  11. Be blunt. Make your intentions clear. Don't say "Do you wanna hang out sometime?" because that does not clearly communicate your intention of asking that person out on a date. Something like, "Hey, I think you're really [insert compliment]. Would you like to go on a date sometime?" gets the message across very bluntly. As for when and where, if they're a fan of games, a game cafe is a good place for a first date. I would say have a general idea of what this person does and does not like, in order for you to better be able to plan a date. Lastly, ask them out within a week of realizing you want to do so. You can wait for a good opening, but one may not present itself. If there is not an opportunity to ask them out in a smooth way, do it bluntly. Good luck, and may the odds be ever in your favor!
  12. I cannot express how much I don't like Rings of Power. Even the soundtrack is mid.

    Spoiler

Ig today's a day for SUs

  13. Whatever amount makes it so that I can no longer taste the original dish. What is your opinion on the Soulsborne game genre?
  14. Glitter & Gold by Barns Courtney
  15. I would just like to say, Hamas is, in fact, committing war crimes.

So where's the outrage for that?

Oh my gosh wait yes I was just learning about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict last week in World Geography and then this happened over the weekend it was like “welp the worksheet I’m doing is now outdated”

  16. My girlfriend came over last night and we watched Interstellar. She loved it and we had a great time.

  17. I do. TPBM doesn't play video games.
  18. No. What is your opinion in Calvin and Hobbes?
  19. Granted, you now have a Dor. Your bane is that you no longer have a shadow. I wish for Dark Souls IV.
  20. From music, art, and games, mostly. For music, I listen to a song and it puts an image into my head. I then tend to think of how I would write that, what led up to it, and what happened after. It's very similar for art. Games are where inspiration for mechanics and story points come, especially for the world I've most recently come up with. That one is heavily inspired by Dark Souls. The idea for the book that I've posted here (shameless plug) came from the song The Dawn Will Come, from Dragon Age: Inquisition. Now I'm 20,000 words deep into a world with thousands of years of history and not a single dragon. Where my ideas come from is heavily related to my writing process and how I structure my books.
  21. Why does this song make me think of The Silmarillion?

  22. DNFing Gardens of the Moon. I really, really wanted to love it, but it just isn't for me. While I can appreciate it for a well-written book, Erikson's style just wasn't clicking with me.

Tonight I will be starting the final book of the First Law trilogy: Last Argument of Kings

I DNF'd halfway through Deadhouse Gates (the second book).

Tell me how it goes, I need something new to read! no I don't have 6 unfinished books sitting on my bed what are you talking about

I really liked the first two books, so hopefully the third finishes strong. Joe Abercrombie is, imo, the best introduction to grimdark fantasy

  23. Only valid response. Kiss Christmas, marry Thanksgiving, kill Halloween. Statues, museums, paintings.
