interesting discussion point for anyone interested:
social media (and genai if you wanna talk about that as well) has fostered such a level of entitlement and ego in so many people and i just think that's interesting to think about. obviously it's great for connecting with people you wouldn't know otherwise--but then with that, is it taking away from connections you could make irl? here are some points that i think help contextualize my point:
1) infinite access to knowledge, creativity, and other people's lives
2) can comment anything they want - sharing opinions turns into trying to police others' choices
3) instant gratification (if you wanna go the AI route). these things are so sycophantic and it's so unhealthy.
4) people have these weird relationships with like "owning" celebrities and feeling entitled to them, which definitely taps into modern pop and celeb culture but is definitely aided by social media
5) confirmation bias due to the algorithm
there's probably more, but if anyone wants to discuss please feel free cuz i think it would be interesting to hear y'all's thoughts!

okay, i'll keep that in mind! i am already on the medication so i'm gonna see how it goes! i'm on a pretty small dose right now (2.5 mg), and i'm going up to 5 in a couple of days, but so far i haven't had any super terrible side effects, and i've been feeling a little bit better mentally (not tons but it's such a small dose so i'm not surprised). thanks for the insight!

you're totally fine! i hear this one has intense side effects for the first little while but then really improves, but there is a percentage of people who it just doesn't work for. hopefully it works alright for me!

hey friends! i know it's been a little while since i posted. how's everyone doing?

heyyyy guys. i'm not very active here, but i've posted a couple times. i've had a pretty rough mental health journey and have been depressed and anxious for the past several years (probably more. can't remember the last time i felt "normal"). i also live with chronic pain and fatigue, symptoms of ADHD, OCD, and executive dysfunction, so things have been pretty rough for a while. however, i went to the doctor on thursday and we sort of accidentally halfway on purpose (idek) got into a conversation about my mental health and my doctor put me on medication. soooo i guess we'll see if it helps? if anybody here has experience with Lexapro i'd love to hear since that's what i got put on. thanks guys :))

my mom say it would be hard for me if i speak in word with just one sound for all of day and i say i try
so far i just have like five times when i say word with more than one sound

lately, ive been trying to romanticize my life more because i struggle with moderate to severe depression and i felt like maybe romanticizing everything could help me reframe
and one thing that's really helped (and also helps when i'm anxious) is listening to classical music. like. all the time
listen to it while i'm doing my makeup
listen to it while i'm doing my hair
listen to it while i'm getting dressed
while i'm doing my nails
while i'm making food
and it has helped a surprising amount. idk. it makes me feel like i'm in a cute lil period drama and it's also like super calming
i recommend giving it a try

@CoderDrag0n8 i'm pretty sure it's in glass' about me! im haly's wife, and haly is glass' daughter, and i am siblings with cash and now wen and rue, whirte is haly's son but somehow not mine (idk) and it gets more convoluted but yeah im pretty sure it's in hers if u wanna check it out
