Kajsa

Just as Kajsa thought this day couldn’t get any worse, she miscalculated and accidentally slammed into the huge wooden slab sticking out of her dad’s truck bed. She staggered, seeing stars, and barely caught herself on her knees before she could collapse entirely. 

Sitting there a moment, she clutched her head, afraid for a breath that she was bleeding. She would later discover, however, that there was almost no mark despite the splitting headache that would shadow her for the rest of the day.
